Very pleased with this shoe. I like the strap going around the heel. It makes them very stable. The shoe is also light weight, which I appreciate.

Nice shoe - I really like Ahnu shoes, they are comfortable. However, I have a wide toe box and this one is a little snug and they are a bit hard to get on, but it does seem to give after a few times. Haven't sent them back yet, still deciding. I may try another style in Ahnu and see if the toe box is better for me. Zappos rocks, they have been a life saver for someone with hard to fit feet!!!

Boundary Waters ready -
I just brought these with me on a week-long canoeing trip to the Boundary Waters and they were fabulous. They dried completely every night and the traction in the water was great--I didn't slip once. They are also very durable when hiking--in and out of the water. And very cute too! Nothing not to like about these shoes.

This was the 1st Ahnu shoes I ever bought. I find it so comfortable that I bought 2 more pairs of Ahnu shoes. I did have to soften up the heel area some, which I did not have to do with my other Ahnu selections. And, of course, Zappos is great!

I was unsure of how the strap would feel as opposed to regular laces, but these shoes are way easier to put on and take off. At first the clip that holds the strap was difficult to unlatch, but it has seemed to "give" a little, without being too loose for the strap to slip.
On the first day, I wore these shoes without socks and got a bad heel blister, but other than that they are very comfortable. I would like more arch support, but I do have "Good Shoe" inserts which helps. They also feel a little smaller than they probably should, but that may also be due to my wearing the insert. I got the Moonrock color and I think they look pretty cool--not like a lot of other shoes you see around town. I work on my feet and these are great for that. A great shoe and really good tread.

Love them! I have plantar fasciitis and these work great! I have orthotics but can't really use them because the shoes are not really comfortable with them in. However I think the shoes give me enough support without my orthotics.

Fabulous find!
I love these shoes! This is my first pair of Ahnus, and I will definitely look for them in the future. The strap closure took a couple tries to get just right, but now I just slip them on, tighten up the strap and GO! They're light, comfy and feel superb.

Too small. My toe was pressing into the end, and 11 is the largest size they come in. Bummer, because I really liked them otherwise.

Love Ahnu...but not this model! I own other Ahnu shoes and love them, but this one was really uncomfortable and ugly. It just didn't cut it for me.

A Winner!
I love these shoes! They fit without slipping and I can adjust them the way I like them. They are light and feel very durable. I have been looking for a mesh shoe that is comfortable and fits. I tried the Salomon Techamphibian, but I did not care for them. The laces loosened up and the mesh was very scratchy. These are the exact opposite. The ribbon takes a bit of trying, but when you get it right, it is great! The mesh is very comfortable in the Ahnu.

Nice shoe but ouch. I liked everything about this shoe (it's light, stylish, has great colors, easy on-off), except the left one blisters my heel. I can't seem to break it in. Also, left tongue pinches a little. Admittedly, my left foot is a little weird, but this shoe causes more problems than most.

These look like orthotic shoes. Wide toe box, flat sole, and not very stylish. Comfortable though, especially for bunions. Strap is tough to tighten. Moderate arch support.

Not wide enough but really comfortable and cute! These shoes are really neat and would have been absolutely perfect if they were just a little but looser on the top. I have wide feet, and I let the strap go all the way loose. But my feet still felt way too constricted on the top. I have the Ahnu sandals, and the strap is usually a lot longer.

Wow, what a shoe -
This is a great shoe, purchased it for my trip to Asia, never needed to wear anything else. Many, many people noticed my shoes, they hardly showed any use after 10+ hours of walking daily in a developing country for 3 weeks. Awesome, look forward to another pair next time. They do run small, the first size 8 I have ever purchased, normally a 7.5. However, it was perfect because the adjustments work all over the foot. Also, I was able to wear socks on the long flights where my feet can get so cold. It is a pleasure to write about these unique shoes.

Not for me -
I liked the look of and the reviews for this shoe. It just didn't fit me well. I didn't find the arch supportive, though I was hoping to wear it without my orthotic. I also found the closure a little clumsy. I wished they would have worked.

I've received more compliments on these shoes than on any other I've ever owned (...and I am a "shoe chick"). I do agree with other reviewers that the back ankle tab is a little high but it doesn't get in my way. I have small feet, thin legs and on me these shoes look a little bulkier than others I had tried. Over all it's very comfortable, airy and stylish.

I love these!
I have plantar fasciitis and wear a small, 1/2 thin sandal orthotic. Usually style is pretty important to me, but I needed something new for my 5 day trip to Disney World. I was looking to get something as meshy and airy as possible. Since I don't really like seeing the orthotics in sandals, plus, I was still looking for the support of a sneaker, I tried these, as well as the Salomon Techamphibian, Salomon Karmas, and Rockport Ariellas. These were BY FAR the best. I go to Disney a lot, but these were the best shoes ever. They look cute (they make my feet look small), they are different (I didn't see anyone else with them), they were fine to wear without socks right from the start with no rubbing (a miracle, because I am very sensitive), they have nice room in the toe and very good support. Both of the Salomon shoes were WAY too scratchy and rough inside, and the Rockports had barely any support, and a narrow toe. The ONLY thing I would have liked to change in these is to make them even meshier, the mesh was kind of thick, and I would have liked a little more air flow. Since I never write reviews though, I feel so strongly about how good these are, I had to write!

Really nice once you finally get your foot in...
These feel really nice on my feet but getting into them is really hard. I have a high arch so I also have a high instep and because the lace on these does not give at all, getting my foot is in very difficult. I like the shoes but too much of a hassle, they will be going back.

Great trail, hiking, walking shoe -
I like this shoe. I have narrow feet so they are a bit wide, but I can tighten the strap up enough to have a snug fit. I don't like regular looking tennis shoes - too much white and reflective material. I like the earthier look to the shoe. Love the black ones, but they didn't have my size. The traction is superb. They are great shoes for normal feet - just a bit too wide for my feet. I like that they have them in 10.5 - that's unusual for me to find.

Looking good, feeling not so good -
I just received my shoes. Initially, I thought they were exceptionally small, but finally figured out the lacing and realized I had to let the laces out completely before trying to get the shoes on.
I think these run small, so I never felt too comfy in them...the underside of the tongue was quite rough on only one foot...and that same foot kept feeling like it was falling asleep.
I am sending them back, ordering a larger pair and give them a good go before giving up on them.

I have so many feet problems...bunions, flat feet, past foot injuries and these shoes make me feel like I am walking on air. I am vegan and really appreciate that no animals were harmed to make this adorable and comfortable shoe! I love Zappos too!

Best lightweight hiker I've ever owned -
These shoes are amazing, comfortable, and more rugged than I originally thought them to be. I bought them specifically for hot and dry weather light hiking. I was impressed with how sturdy they felt. The soles did well on a gravel trail. And at the same time they were real breathable. The strapping system holds the shoe snug and I got used to them in no time. A great buy and Zappos even upgraded my order to free overnight shipping too. Much thanks!
