Unreal Comfort!
This is my second pair of J-41 "heels" and I am so impressed. I have the "hard-to-fit" foot and haven't worn heels in forever because of this. The J-41s are amazing. I wore them the first day thinking I was going to really suffer since it had been so long since I wore anything with a heel and had NO PROBLEM. I was stunned to say the least. Recommended for those of us who need an occasional dressy heel, but want comfort.

Cute and comfy -
If you don't have problems with your joints, these are great shoes. A little more shock absorption would be nice, but overall they can be worn all day with minimal problems. These look great with anything: slacks, skirts, jeans, etc.

Looks and feels so good -
I originally purchased this shoe in my usual size 9, but found it to be a tad too big, so I needed an 8.5. Once I had that size, it fit like a glove. I could walk around all day in these and not get sore feet at all. Plus, I love the look - the heel makes me look taller and they can be worn casually with jeans or shorts or with a dress. You can't go wrong with these sandals. I don't want summer to end, just so I can keep wearing them!

LOVE THESE SHOES -
I have feet on the wider side and a bunion on the right foot top. I love these shoes...bought the red and brown...they are chunky, comfortable, and durable. It is hard for me to find shoes that work on both feet and these fit the bill.

Comfy and cute -
J-41 shoes are awesome! These have to be the most comfortable sandals with heels I've ever worn. There are so many things I love about these shoes. The wedge heel gives me that extra bit of height and length for my short legs, and the strappy style is really cute. I got these in red and it's a great summer color. As much as I love the look of my Born sandals, they always give me a sore spot if I walk in them for an extended period of time. J-41s, however, have really comfortable linings, and I like that they can be wiped clean without getting mucky. My Naot sandals are also really comfy, but not as supportive as these. I wear my Barbados sandals to work and on weekends. Last night I wore them to an outdoor concert and had to walk on a steep grassy hill as well as some dirt paths. Although these are really nice shoes, they can take a bit of abuse without getting ruined. This is my new favorite brand and I can't wait to try some of the fall styles. Well worth the price for me. For the 2 styles I've bought so far, I've had to buy one size smaller than what I normally wear.

My toes and ankles look great in these shoes! I expected them to be a little clunky, but they're light, easy to walk in, and pretty, especially with dresses, skirts, and cropped pants.

Perfect!
I have been searching for some nice looking, slightly heeled sandals to wear with skirts and pants for summer. These fit the bill (and my feet) perfectly the first time I put them on. I have slightly wide feet, and they fit perfectly. The straps are close enough together to not have major pressure points (no blisters!), and they are even comfortable for walking. I've had them less than a week, and today is day three. I would recommend these to anyone. Other J-41s I tried on didn't fit as well, as the top of my foot is too tall for the length of the straps. These are perfect!

One tiny drawback -
What a gorgeous looking shoe and it felt so comfortable on first wearing. Footbed so comfy! Sadly the dream faded after a little walking revealed the bulky intersection of strapping on the outer ankle rubbed super-painfully against the foot. Regretfully had to return this otherwise perfect shoe.

Barbados-Jeep footwear ROCK!
I am the proud recipient of a total ankle replacement - a titanium beauty that requires a lot of TLC...And these little beauties fit the bill! Perfect height, comfy footbed, the almost rocker heel makes a normal gait possible. An 8.5M seems a little larger and wider than an 8.5M, but it's tacky to have your toes or heel hang over the edge, so I'll stick with this size. (If you have skinny feet, this might not be a good choice.) The adjustable strap around the back makes for a perfect fit. I will buy more of this brand for sure!

Utterly perfect -
I am prone to blisters and have flat feet so I need sandals with arch support that is good but not too aggressive. These sandals not only look great on, they have terrific (but not too high) arch support including noticeable but not excessive metatarsal arch support, so you feel perfectly balanced and well supported. I stood around at three parties in one night in these sandals and never once noticed any fatigue or pain in my feet. I am now a total fan.

One of my favorites ever!
I'm so pleased with this sandal. The straps don't pinch my little toes, which may be a first! Love the support. It feels really stable, which is important for my bad knees and ankles. I can walk in these comfortably!!!

I bought these and the J-41 St. Martin at the same time to compare. These were sent back. The strappy part on the top is up too high on the foot, leaving too much toe cleavage - makes toes look too long and not cute. They are comfy and all that, but the St. Martin is super cute and this one isn't - at least not to me in comparison.

I Love These Shoes!
Just about the perfect summer sandal. The red color is deep and rich, making them look more expensive then the cost. They fit just as stated, and can go from casual -- with jeans -- to dresser -- with a skirt -- easily. The only reason I gave them four stars for comfort is because of the heel. It's a bit heavy. It never dissuades me from wearing them, since they're now my everyday sandal, but I recommend shaving a few ounces for the next model.

I have not worn the J-41 brand before. These are super comfortable and were great on my wide feet. The foot bed has a design on it that becomes bothersome as the day goes on. Otherwise, great shoe.

Great walking sandal - It's finally warm enough to wear these, and I'm VERY happy I decided to buy them. Worth every penny, these sandals can handle long strides, fast walking, and keeping up with the kids in comfort. I'll definitely be buying J-41s in the future. Best service and shipping from Zappos.

Good, comfortable, sturdy sandals - These sandals felt pretty good right out of the box. I wear a 7.5 but I took a 7 in these. I normally do not wear a narrow shoe but my feet are on the thinner side of normal. So, if you have a narrower foot you might like to try a half size smaller. I originally wanted to get the J-41 St. Martin so I ordered those too. My feet were swimming in the 7.5. Also, the leather didn't seem to be as good quality on the St. Martins as they are on the Barbados. I am currently wearing the Barbados everyday. The dark brown color is just right.

Received my Barbados in literally 24 hours. Extremely comfortable shoe. I would definitely recommend going 1/2 size smaller as I probably should have. Only complaint is the light colored insole which shows toe/foot marks quickly and makes them look dirty. Other than that, good heel height for being trendy without feeling the pain.

Love this shoe, love Zappos. You guys are the best, such awesome service. Back to the J-41, this is a super comfy shoe. Good fit, first time I wore this shoe, it felt like I had been wearing them forever, no break in time. Totally Surprised By The Comfort -
It's been at least one year since I began looking for a nice comfortable pair of red sandals. In my search for the perfect shoes, I would order some and they would be too tight or looked plain old ugly. Then when I saw these shoes on Zappos.com in red, it seemed that my patience had paid off. They ordered and arrived the next day… Wow! That’s fast service. So far today, these shoes have been on my feet for 7 hours and they’re still comfortable. Of course the reviews posted in my decision to buy these shoes and they were right on. They feel so gooood. The strap is not a problem, the weight of the shoe is fine. Having flat feet, this shoe makes me feel like I have an arch. So don't hesitate to buy the shoe if you want style, comfort, and support!

Ok, but other J-41's a lot better -
I thought these looked kind of frumpy and they fit strange-the straps in front were gaping on the sides. I also prefer the velcro closure of other J-41 sandals to this awkward buckle in the back. I returned them.

I work for the #1 electronics retailer in the world and if we could bring this customer service principal to our 1000+ stores we'd be golden, but this is what makes you Zappos, I suppose.
