Great right out of the box -
No need for break in period, these are great right of the box! Feet feel great all day long! I hate taking these off; it's that great! I have wide feet and short toes, these are a bit narrower than my other earth shoes and there is a lot of toe room...doesn't look odd or bad but its there. If your 2nd toe is longer than your big toe, you'll be looking good!

An almost perfect sandal - To start, this sandal is so much cuter than it looks online. I bought the reddish color looking for a more stylish, supportive sandal to replace my Birkenstocks. These are very cute, VERY supportive and VERY comfortable. They feel similarly supportive to Birkenstocks but with a cushier footbed. I've never been a fan of thongs, but these weren't bad at all and I didn't expect a problem. What *was* a problem for my just barely wider than average feet was the width. Had these come in a wide, they would have been *perfect* but I found that the side of the shoe was cutting into my instep. I'm very, very sad to return this shoe. If you've got average or narrow feet, but need good support, don't hesitate to pick up this shoe.

Too narrow, but otherwise comfortable - I loved the general feel and support of this shoe, but unfortunately it was much more narrow than I expected. I have feet on the wider side, and the inside of my foot came over the inner edge of the shoe, making the side of the high arch cut into my foot a bit. I wanted to keep them, but felt it might actually bruise my arch over time. Zappos has been so fantastic about customer service, making the exchange so easy and painless. Thank you so much Zappos!

Best sandals I've ever had -
Part of my commute into Manhattan includes walking 2 1/2 miles on city pavement every day. Wore these sandals out of the box, first day, the comfort is amazing! No binding, chafing or other sandal problems that come with having bad feet. Best part, the look is city-smart sleek. They're cool and even dressy, so much nicer than wearing flip flops! I bought black, would love to have them in another color, too.

Over the years I have really been a Mephisto fan. I still like them. But, I have discovered Earth shoes and they are even better. The arch is less drastic than Mephisto (I miss that in Earth) but the comfort and ease on my back makes a huge difference with the Earth shoe. I have two pairs of shoes and one sandal. My chiropractor tested the shoes on me using kinesiology. They worked out perfectly on me. I would recommend having your shoes tested before wearing them outside. What works well on some people - doesn't on others. I have very narrow feet so I always order shoes with adjustable buckles. I do wish that Earth made a narrow version of their shoes/sandals. Earth shoes are very comfortable and they just make sense.

I have long, skinny feet with long toes and almost no arch. So, it is difficult to find a comfortable shoe that can fit my toes and that doesn't have an arch support that is too big. These sandals are perfect. I usually wear heels, so it is a little weird to see Birkenstock-looking sandals on my feet, but they are so comfortable that I don't care. They definitely are casual sandals and are not "hot", but they look good enough with jeans for running errands.

Comfy and functional but cute too -
I love heels and taller shoes, but nearing the 6th month of pregnancy decided it was time to get practical. These are very comfortable and stylish enough for a sundress. I was concerned about the leather thong between the toes but was pleasantly surprised not to get any blisters or irritation at all after a full day of wear. My husband has Earth-brand shoes as well and loves them.

Fantastic! Both the shoe and Zappos!
I got these shoes about 8 weeks ago - love at first sight and try on. Very comfortable and had the comfortable, worn in feel from the first moment. I enjoyed these and gently used them for the last few weeks, unfortunately… the upper started separating from the footbed just today, BUT - I called Zappos and a replacement pair is on the way. Didn't even have to prove my case, they just make it right. Zappos - GREAT customer service and great products, too! WOW, I love this place! This is my only pair of shoes from Zappos that ever had a problem and they fixed it right away.

Too Square!
I so wanted these to work! I love the negative heel concept, but it seems that most Earth shoes have too much of a square profile around the toes leaving my poor little pinky toe hanging off. Looks like I'll have to continue searching for the perfect pair of sandals. :(

Looks great, not standing up under pressure.
I love how this shoe looks. I am addicted to wearing flip flops in the summer but they kill my feet so I have been trying to buy better shoes. The thong on these rubbed between my toes and was uncomfortable for a few days but it got better and is fine now. They are really cute and the red color goes with a lot more than I thought it would. Unfortunately, the insole of the shoe is already separating from the bottom after only a few weeks. I expect more from a shoe that costs this much. I can glue it back down but it's disappointing nonetheless.

These are marvelous sandals for tired feet. They energize and are really comfy. They run true to size and are comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

A Good Fit -
I wear an 8 to 8 1/2, and sometimes a wide. Got these in an 8 and they fit perfect. No rubbing and the sole is sooo soft. Lots of Earth shoes are on the narrow side, but not these. Comfort right from the box. Wish they made more with this sole.

These sandals were a little uncomfortable at first, but once my foot settled in and the leather loosened a bit they are very comfy and a nice change for my foot.

My first pair of Earth shoes and they are excellent shoes! I'm normally a 5 or 5.5 size - size 5 was a little small, 5.5 was just right. Super comfortable - the only shoes with no break in period. Wish they had more and better shoe styles.

Excellent!
I've never spent this much on a pair of shoes--let alone sandals. I have foot, back, and neck issues so I decided to take a chance. I put them on as soon as I opened the box--and I'm thrilled! They are so comfortable. I am going to Europe this summer, so I wanted a pair of nice looking all-around shoes to wear in the hot weather. These will be great. Time will tell how they are for long days of walking and standing (hence the 4-star rating)--but so far so good!

So comfortable, no breaking in, no rubs, no blisters, no tired feet. I wore them all weekend long straight from the box. Perfect fit and perfect size. Good quality leather and sole. I made my whole family try them on. These will be my everyday summer shoes. I can wear them without orthotics and so much more feminine than Birkenstock

I started wearing these sandals immediately and they were really comfortable. Very true to size too. (Typically I go a half size smaller with sandals but not with this brand). They looked exactly as they appeared on Zappos. The only negative is the thong irritated my toe, but I'm sure after wearing them a few times I will break them in.

GREAT from the first moment you put them on -
I don't believe in "breaking in" shoes, I think you should put a shoe on and immediately feel AAHHH - and then you know it is the one. That is exactly how this sandal was. I was looking for a cute spring sandal, something for jeans as well as shorts and skirts, and this fits the bill. All of the leather straps are soft and don't chafe, even the toe thong. And the shoe looks striking - not a casual flip flop, but a smart looking sandal. I have another pair of Earth shoes and really enjoy them, but these are even better. These sandals remind me of some old Naots I had, and I love that brand as well.

I've been at the mercy of retailers to decide whether they carry anything over a size 10. Incredible selection in all styles, sizes, and widths, and I do mean ALL. Free shipping both ways, easiest return process I've ever seen, 24/7 customer service, and really, really fast delivery! On occasion, there have been some Saturday nights when online retail shoe therapy seemed like a fine idea (especially after a glass of wine or two). They shipped out on Sunday and I kid you not - in most cases arrived at work by Monday or Tuesday at the latest! How’s that for immediate gratification? Nearly all styles have customer reviews that are as helpful as the shoe description in deciding what to order, what to pass on, and what size to order. I've only purchased shoes, but Zappos has expanded into clothes, accessories, and other stuff as well, but their core product is shoes and LOTS of them.
