Montrail Hardrocks -
I have found that Hardrocks are good for about 600 miles of thru-hiking with a 25-35# pack. Best with Montrail Enduro insoles. I have owned 6 pair of the 2006s that were good, one pair of 2007 that were not to my liking, so not sure about the 2008 version. Hope the updates work out because I always seem to come back to my Hardrocks when I want comfort over a 20 plus mile day or just a short walk with my dog in the woods. So, I hope they keep making a 15 wide available.

Good, But Limited -
This shoe fits well, but it has its limits; if you use it on a really rough trail you might find that it does not give sufficient ankle support, and that the sole does not protect your feet from projecting rocks.
Unfortunately for me, my right shoe has a poorly constructed insole around the ball of the foot.

Impressive Shoe -
These are really comfortable and supportive shoes - I wore them immediately right out of the box on a 6 mile trail walk. Montrails generally work well for me - I like the fit and feel for walking and off road hiking. This is my 3rd pair of Montrail shoes. I didn't particularly like the color scheme - apparently you have only the one choice.
