The shoe we received had a pink insole and a solid black sole. This was perfect for us, since my daughter's school uniform doesn't allow any colors anywhere on the shoe. I had planned on painting over the lime green half circle on the side, which is cute otherwise. This is our third pair of Umi shoes, after trying many other brands. For my daughter, any other brand of Mary Janes have been a little too tight at the top of the shoe, right where the shoe meets the sock. Now we just stick with Umi. She wears them to school, but plays in them too.

Marking outsoles -
These shoes look and feel great to my daughter who wants to wear them all the time. Sadly she can't because the soles mark everything!

Excellent!!!!!
This shoe was the answer to our school shoe nightmare. My daughter put the shoes on and instantly said how nice they felt. I highly recommend the shoe and although it is a little pricey, it is definitely worth it. I recommend to go a 1/2 size smaller than what is measured in the store. I did that and the shoe was perfect!

Great shoes that are comfortable, can be dressed up or casual, and can be worn to a party or out on the playground.

Umi shoes always fit my daughter -
My daughter has hard to fit feet with a high instep. Umi shoes have always been a good fit for her. We buy a new pair of brown Umi shoes every fall.

I love UMI -
I love Umi shoes. I spent 2 months trying to find a shoe that would fit when my size was not available. I just finally got my size and love them. This shoe is cut half on one size larger than marked. And the width goes with it. This shoe is large around the top too, not as fitted as other Umi shoes.

My daughter loved these shoes, but they left black marks on the floor, even though it says non-marking sole. Returning them.

 |  | Wow. I placed an order online in Seattle yesterday at 2pm and this morning before I finished my first cup of coffee a UPS guy was standing in front of me with my shoes. I was going to ask if he had a shoehorn and could put my shoes on, because it was almost like being in a shoe store it was so fast. And best of all, it was free shipping. I feel like leaving you guys a tip or something. But I’ll tell you what, 3 other people in my office saw what went down and they were all on Zappos today shopping and I know they told a few friends.
