One size smaller just not right -
I ordered these for my wife and she loved them... until she tried them on. I took everyone's advice about ordering one size smaller and it just didn't work. Now I have to send them back. But, I'm going to hold out and see if her size comes in, because she absolutely loved the boots themselves. Still not sure about the true size issue.

Great work boot -
These boots are great! I work in a grocery store and needed new shoes...these were on the approved list...I love the skulls and when I read all the reviews I knew they were the right choice. I ordered them and two days later they were on my porch. I am not someone who likes shoes...I prefer sandals or bare feet...but these were great. I ordered a size smaller than I normally wear (I wear a ten and ordered a nine)...just like all the reviews said...they were right...they fit just fine. I did find them a little snug with certain thick socks...but then again I was used to shoes that I slipped on and were a little big. If you are on your feet and still want something with personality...and maybe adds a little height to you...these boots are a great choice. I am very happy with my purchase.

What a great boot - So glad I read the reviews and ordered one size smaller. I usually wear a 7 UK and I ordered a 6 and they fit perfectly. These are a great pair of funky, lightweight boots.

I'm wearing them NOW!
It's true; these DM's are comfortable right out of the box. I love them. They're sporty AND cool. Great for walking. Normally I wear a 9 and a half or 10. Got these in a 9 and they're just right. As others have stated, they do run a bit big. All in all, very pleased with this product.

I love these boots!
I purchased these in a size 6UK/8US as this is my normal size for Docs. I read the reviews and they did say that these boots are one size bigger than normal. Seriously, if you wear that size purchase the 5UK/7US - it fits perfect! The most comfortable Docs I have! I live in Portland, OR and walk everywhere - these are perfect! Return of the first pair was seamless and Zappos shipped out the other pair, even before they received the first pair back. Thank you!

Awesome Boot!
I’m so glad I read other reviews about sizing. I ordered a size smaller than I normally wear and they fit perfect. They were super comfortable right out of the box (no break in required). They were actually cuter than I expected. Love them!

Awesome shoe!
I LOVE the Doc Marten Davina Lace Up Boot-Skull Print. They were 100% comfortable right out of the box, worn all day. I wore them for a long day of walking through NYC a week after I got them--no problems at all. They look great and feel great. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to get them! I've gotten a lot of compliments on them, too. LOVE them!

Nice Compromise for the Classic Black Boot -
Sizing: Order a size smaller than you normally wear. For instance, I normally wear a US9 but the US8 fits perfectly. Boot does not make the foot look wide. It is a flat boot, but does not make my foot appear too long. I had wanted a "classic" pair of black Dr. Martens, but I ordered a few that did not fit correctly or would have taken too long to break in. This boot is a good compromise and almost appears as a shoe/boot. I was a little worried that the skull and crossbone logo would be cheesy, but it is printed lightly on the shoe and one would need to look closely to decipher the image. They are a tad "campier" than the average Dr. Martens, but it just makes me feel like smiling when I put them on. These boots were extremely comfortable from the first wear, throughout the foot and the ankle.

I LOVE THIS BOOT!
The boot is comfortable and looks just like the picture. You should order one size smaller than what you normally wear. They run BIG.

These boots are super comfortable!
I normally wear a size 8 in women's and when I got them they were way too big. I reordered a size 7 and they still are about half a size too large. I kept them because I can wear extra-thick socks with them. They are really comfortable boots and I really like the skulls on the sides!
