The shoe is terrific. I ordered a pair for my mother who has serious edema in her feet and legs. The shoe was wide enough. It is also very comfortable for her to walk in.

An exceptionally comfortable shoe. They actually make me feel more secure while I am walking. I have adult scoliosis and am slightly pigeon-toed so finding good shoes is often a challenge for me. I would recommend to a friend.

The Best I Could Get -
I need to wear a brace in one of my shoes to support my previously shattered ankle and consequently need double depth shoes. I wanted a black shoethat was a little lighter weight (none of these are light weight) than my other shoes, so I tried several pairs of these, as well as Drew's Delite. The Delite didn't have a double depth insole, so that was out. After removing both insoles, the Desiree had the depth I needed for my left foot, but the vertical strap of the T-strap was too long for my feet and I had to have it removed from both shoes. After returning four out of five pair of shoes and some money later (removing the vertical strap on both shoes, lengthening the left velcro strap to accommodate my brace, padding the back of the right shoe to accommodate its smaller size), I have a shoe I can wear. I really wish Zappos would sell mismatched shoes!

I needed a shoe for a walking holiday of Paris and Italy. I have 'difficult' feet, plantar fasciitis in my right foot and my ankles swell easily so it's always hard for me to find a comfortable shoe. I didn't want to be in an athletic shoe. I wanted something a bit more stylish. I settled on this one after returning more pairs both to stores and Zappos than I can remember. One of the main reasons I bought this one was for the double insole. It allows you to customize it. I've found that almost all these kind of shoes slip on my heels. I find it annoying but this one does it too. I can't wear this one without socks as it rubs a blister on my heel. However, if I have an ankle sock on it's OK. That limits its use as a shoe to wear with capris though which was one of my goals. So, to make a long story short, if you have 'difficult' feet as I do, I'm not sure there's a shoe out there for us. We always have to 'settle'.

I purchased this shoe for my mother who has swollen feet and ankles. It was important to have a shoe that was adjustable to accomodate the changing size of her feet due to the swelling. This show fits the bill. She is happy with the style and is extremely comfortable to her.

OMG! I love these boots, I just got them in the mail and they are perfect. Comfortable, stylish, and GREAT! They fit well with my jeans and look nice in a skirt, I have small ankles and calves, and this fits them perfect. :)

I ordered a half size larger after reading other reviews but I could have ordered my regular size. They are great for wide feet and I can wear think or thick socks. They look great with jeans.

Finally, a comfortable shoe!
I have been searching for a comfortable wide shoe (that was not a sneaker) for ages. This shoe fits the bill. I can teach in it all day and my feet don't hurt at day's end. Thank you Drew (and thank you Zappos)!

Great shoe for a teacher -
I'm on my feet all day as a teacher and have recently had problems with my feet, especially the arches. I needed better support and these shoes fit the bill perfectly. Not only that, but they're good looking too. They did run a bit wider than I'm used to (even as a medium) but wearing thicker socks took care of that. I plan on buying more of this brand in the future!

I didn't realize that the Drew Shoes I was looking for were difficult to find at nearby shoe stores. I really wanted to try them on before buying. Finally I accepted that ordering through Zappos would have to substitute for the local shoe store. The mailing service was phenomenal. I was very pleased. Now, on to the shoes. I am happy with this shoe. I purchased a taupe pair. They were a darker taupe than I expected, but now that Fall is upon us, the darker color will be good for these months. The fit is good and my feet feel very comfortable. There is a lot of support in the shoe. I use orthodics in them. With such good service from Zappos, this is a very acceptable method of buying.

Having a little trouble with the arch support in the right shoe - my foot wants to lean.
Like the shoe - but still trying to get it broken in - have trouble with my feet burning on the ball of the foot - so am hoping this shoe will take the pressure off.

This shoe is excellent relief for ball-of-foot pain. However, don't be fooled by the faux-sandal appearance -- you cannot wear this shoe without socks. I tried and after five minutes the skin was rubbed off the back of my ankle and I was carrying them. Feels good again with band aids plus socks.

Best shoe ever for wide sore feet.
I have a lot of pain and deformity in my feet from surgery gone wrong. I have boxes full of shoes that have failed. This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever had on my feet. The mesh 'gives' perfectly. When it came I put it on with my orthotics and wore it for hours. That had been impossible. I took a walk for the first time in ages. I can wear these shoes all day! My feet are very wide at the front and very narrow in the heel. This shoe is a bit wide at the back but it is still the best ever. Thanks Zappos.

These are very comfortable and not quite as "clunky" looking as other walking shoes. They look nice with dress pants or jeans and could be worn with a skirt. They do run large. I wear a 5 1/2 and usually wear a 6 or even 61/2. I wear wide, but on this shoe had to put heel grips in the heel as they were too wide. Toe box is perfect however. The t-strap tends to bunch up which I had read from another reviewer, but it's acceptable.

A wide shoe with some pizazz!
I usually wear a 4E in Propet's but thought I'd try the 3E in this shoe and there's plenty of room. The combination suede/leather look is great. Stylish, with a little more pizazz than the plain "Mary Jane" look. The 3 removable insoles allow you to customize the fit for each shoe. Good support and comfy to wear all day on the first wearing. One negative - the heel is also wide. If you have wide toes and a narrow heel, this may not work for you.

I have had trouble finding just the right wide shoe for years. Drew's Desiree is comfortable and easy to wear and does not look overly much like a wide shoe. It can be worn with pants or dresses for a casual, fun look.

Comfy Shoes for hard feet -
I have both a hammer toe and bunions. Drew makes shoes that are deep enough to accommodate a hard to fit foot. They have removable insoles that will allow me to put in my orthodics, and give more room for my hammer toe. And Zappos is great at sending them quickly. I love shopping here!

My daughter loves this shoe!
If your child has a wide foot, buying uniform dress shoes can be a real challenge. This one is cute and the mesh uppers help her foot to breathe and she says that it looks "cool" - YAY!

Comfort and a bit of style -
I like the look of this shoe, but I prefer the Drew Bloom II overall. This one is comfortable, but I couldn't quite get the T strap fastened smoothly - it seemed to bunch a bit. The shoe still felt great and accommodated custom orthotics (big selling point for me). I've tried lots of 8.5 WW shoes, but the ones that fit me best are the Drews. I just wish they made styles that were a bit more fun - but with my problem feet comfort is my #1 priority. Just want to add that my Zappos’ experience could not have been better! It's impressive when a company offers such exceptional service!

Most comfortable shoe ever -
When I put this shoe on I realized nothing I own comes close in comfort and support. I think I could walk ten miles in these shoes. The velcro strap is generous-I have severe swelling in one leg and it can be hard to find velcro shoes with enough velcro. I don't care for the mesh accent- I wish they had used microfiber but that is my only complaint. From now on I will look for Drew brand first when buying shoes.

Just what I wanted -
It took a full day of walking on carpet to determine that the difference in fit was just what I wanted in a comfortable walking shoe. I've received quite a few comments on its unique appearance and questions about where to purchase the shoes.

Have problem feet, and need custom orthotics in my shoes. This rules 99% of shoes out. At 55, not ready for the "nursing home" look yet. While these shoes are not the style I would like to wear, I was able to wear them standing for about six hours the first time pain free, and they were not bad looking either. If you have problem feet and must have a well-constructed shoe with some style, I would recommend these.

Very impressed!
Have you ever said, "I will never find a shoe that fits?" Look no more: this is it. I have a wide midfoot and am narrow in the heel, and this shoe fits like it was made for me. I also have neuropathy from MS, complicated by diabetes, so my feet hurt all the time. I don't like wearing snug shoes, but the wooly slippers I wear to keep my feet warm just aren't supportive enough. Drew shoes run a half size larger (if you wear a 9, order 8.5), and the width is generous. Very impressed with this shoe. And the overnight delivery Zappos offers is unbeatable, as is their customer service. I won't hesitate to order from them again.

I placed my order at 10 pm, and by 10 the next morning I got an email saying the box was on my porch. Even my daughter was impressed, because she knows that when you order things ‘on the computer’ they generally take ‘forever’ to get here. We are mystified but very grateful!
