These do run a 1/2 size small. I have to buy a 2E for the right foot (formerly broken) and only need an E for the left. These fit comfortably on both feet.

After having ordered other New Balance sneakers that fit wonderfully, I was really disappointed with the fit. They are very narrow through the toe area.

These shoes are styled well compared to others I've owned. It can be difficult to find nice looking shoes for my wide feet. They don't have as much arch support as I thought they would have, but offer a lot of footbed cushioning. Very comfortable while walking for exercise.

Overall, the New Balance WW558 is a sturdy, good looking walking shoe. It is a bit stiff to break in, but the support is good. I found the shoe to run a 1/2 size smaller than usual, but true to their word Zappos had the larger size in the mail before they received my return - at no extra cost!

Initially great - walking 2-3 miles. Went for 10 miles Saturday and nearly lost the little pig who went wee-wee-wee all the way home (pinky). I usually buy Asics because they typically have a wide toe box...ordered Asics yesterday...going back to a good thing. I will keep these for house work. Not good for distance if you have Flintstone feet like me.

I couldn't get the NB shoe I liked so I chose this which is similar. It felt a little more "stiff" but that might be due to the fact that it had leather on the toe box. The other shoe did not.

Extremely comfortable in arch, toe and heel construction, weight. Everything is perfect except for the vamp, which closes a little short of where it should.

I bought these shoes through a different company, who had them marked at good for high arches. They're not very good at that. Comfort wise, they're great. I just have to add arch supports to my shoes.

Another pair of New Balance -
I wish New Balance also made dress shoes -- these are the only shoes that are really comfortable for me. I'm difficult to fit -- size 5WW! Thank goodness for Zappos and New Balance.

I've been wearing the NB 844 for about two year, now NB went and changed to 845 and I'm not happy with it couldn't find one to fit. Sending for the size I was using in the 844, it was too wide, so I tried smaller size, still didn’t fit so I kept the 558 because I needed a sneaker, not as comfortable as what I had 844.

Very good walking shoe. Comfortable right out of the box. I try to walk 3-4 miles daily and these shoes are great, no foot -aches. Zappos had these to me in a day; I could not find this style in local stores.

Overall this shoe is nice looking but needs more cushion in the ball of the foot area. Have problem feet and thought I wouldn't need to use my orthotics. Will try ordering another brand.

Wore them for the first time last night. Very roomy in the toe - maybe a little too roomy but I've always bought shoes a 1/2 to full size too big to accommodate my wide width so that may be the issue. Overall nice shoe

Old Faithful -
I have ordered this shoe many times, and it is my favorite walking shoe. It gives me great arch support, and it holds up well after repeated wearings and washings. It is a great value for the price, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable, affordable walking shoe.

This shoe feels a little too tight at the toe area. The arch support seems odd--there is this "bump" before the arch support that is uncomfortable, but maybe they just need broken in. I was going to use them for work, but I will use them at home since they are a little tight. I guess I will go back to brooks.

These shoes fit my wife's feet perfectly. She has had ankle surgery in the past, so almost any shoe she wears begin to irritate her feet. But these shoes are comfortable and allow her to stand and/or walk for hours without pain. Very Excellent!

I am always looking for a walking/cross-training shoe that fits my narrow heel and my bunion. This shoe is comfortable, although I need to wear a thicker sock in order to fill up the heel space. I have to get athletic shoes about 1 1/2 sizes bigger than my regular shoes. So instead of a 10-10.5, I bought a 12 in these, and that has worked out well.

 |  | Your service is impossible. It is incomprehensibly mind blowingly good. I ordered sneakers online last night at 9:00 here in Minnesota, and had them today at 6:00 PM. That is impossible! It is scary! How do you friggin do it? Can you take over the government, please? Seriously, I've only ordered from Zappos a couple times now but your service is so much better than anybody else on planet earth it is hard to believe.Whoever is in charge of your ops should literally run the country.What a great company. This isn't some kind of scheme is it? It just seems way too good to be true.I love Zappos.
