I love the look of this shoe, I ordered it and had to return it, too big and slipped off of my foot, took the advice of previous reviews and ordered 1/2 size smaller, 8 1/2 W. I needed the wide width. Still no luck. The material is way too soft and the heel has no support at all and you can crush it down so easy, the shoe slips right off my foot. I even tried to put heel inserts and that made it worse. This shoe is more like a slipper than a supportive shoe.

Just purchased a pair in blue. I now have them in every color and two in black. I'm so sorry they seem to be discontinued. The Float is the lightest, most comfortable shoe I've ever worn and it has good support. I have back, knee and foot pain and as a teacher I am on my feet most of the day and this is one of the few shoes that I can wear all day and feel wonderful. Clarks makes light comfortable shoes but these are really their best. I hope they make something as good in the future. They do run a 1/2 size big.

Very comfortable shoe and I like the sporty mary jane look. Reminds me a lot of an updated bowling shoe. However, I will not wear these barefoot anymore as they get really smelly after wearing for an hour or two. I haven't had this problem with any other shoe I've owned, just these Privos. Marked 4 stars due to the smell factor.

I cannot say enough good things about these shoes. I own two pair, brown and black, and I live in them at least half the year. I have very hard to fit feet that are both very wide and very "tall." Straps across the top of the foot usually do not work on me, but these hit close enough to the toe to not cause me any difficulty. So light and so very comfy. I recommend them to everyone.

Cute casual walking shoe, light as a cloud. I got the size 7.5 aloe green on clearance at a local store a couple of weeks ago. In general, I love the combined athletic/mary jane styling. This shoe runs a little large (I usually go with 8 in street shoes). I find the footbed is very comfortable and cushy with moderate arch support. The insoles are NOT removable. The whole shoe is soft and flexible, but I still got blisters the first day from a bit of rubbing and pinching. Happens to me a lot. But after applying inserts to keep my heel in the shoe and poking a couple of tiny holes in the strap elastic, they wear very comfortably. I wear them to walk to work, run errands, and go on casual bike rides. But the slightly metallic green color stand out too much from my clothes, so I'm hunting for the chocolate brown.

Very comfortable - does run large!
I love this shoe. I was looking for something with bronze, and it's hard to tell from the photo that the brown nubuck is trimmed in bronze. Very cute! They're also very comfortable. I have a flat foot so it's sometimes hard for me to find flats that fit well, but these do. I normally wear an 8.5 and had to order an 8.

Have worn Privo FLOAT for nearly a month and they are GREAT! They do run a little large, so I order 1/2 size smaller. Good support. Enough flexibility for continuous wear.

This was my first order with Zappos. I read the reviews on this shoe and ordered accordingly - an 8B instead of my usual 8.5W. They’re a perfect fit! Extremely comfortable and easy to wear for a full day of walking. I’m glad that Zappos provides customers with the opportunity to write reviews on shoes and posts them for others to see, whether good or bad. It’s very helpful and one of the features that will keep me coming back. Because even though shipping is free both ways, I’d rather not hassle with having to return anything.

Comfortable Shoe Horrible Smell -
I love how comfortable these shoes are! However, my comfort is outweighed by the fact that these shoes stink badly! I agree with another poster who said she can barely wear these shoes anymore. I have plenty of other slip on shoes with no smell issues, so I'm not sure what the issue is with the Privo. Too bad because I would definitely buy another, or several more pairs, if it weren't for the smell.

These are really cute shoes but run 1/2 size big and the heel seems very loose. I usually wear a 6 but even the 5.5 was too big. If you have any feet pain issues, these won't be good for walking. I'm returning these. Too bad.

These are perhaps the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are comfy when you first put them on, but they are not good for walking whatsoever. I am in my early 30s and have had a baby. I also have high arches, so I need a shoe that is going to give me support all day. After walking only a few blocks in these I feel pain in the balls of my feet as if I have been walking for miles barefoot on concrete. These are very cute shoes, but for me they have resigned to dinner/movie nights (events where you will sit all evening...)

Great shoe, BUT...
It's a great shoe, very comfy and stylish if you like the sporty look, I just fell in love with them and planned to buy blue or green ones in addition to black. However, changed my mind because I can’t wear them barefoot. I never had any foot-odor problem until these Privos. They got stinky after 2 days of going to work (not much walking). Cant believe it, very disappointed, wish the inside sole was made of a better material. I'm buying Born Grier next. These will have to be worn with pants and socks only. Also, they run big. Usually wear 6, but these fit me in 5.5 better and still feel roomy in the heel (heel is kind of wide - maybe that's why they are so comfy, zero break-in period needed).

Super comfy shoe -
Of the dozens of black walking shoes I've tried on lately, these are the only ones that withstood the "full day of work" test. I spend a lot of time walking across campus all day and no shoes had kept my feet and knees from hurting. These are comfortable without being too soft, don't rub in any spots and pretty cute looking. I wear these with my slacks. The bottom of the shoe is built like a sneaker which is probably why I love them so much. I generally buy wide sizes, but the medium fit perfectly in these.

Utterly fantastic shoe -
Grateful for the reviews and I found it to be true that it runs a half size larger. I usually wear 10W I ordered both 9.5W and 9.5M. The 9.5M is perfect. How can you go wrong when you can order both sizes and send back the one that doesn't fit back free? You just can't beat Zappos. I will be ordering more of this shoe in different colors. Best shoe I've ever owned -
I bought this shoe before I went on a long walking vacation...and it's practically the only shoe I've worn since (the trip was six months ago)! It's super comfortable and I never think about my feet when I'm walking in them. The style goes with almost any outfit. I'm considering buying another pair! :-)

Super cute shoes! Fit small. I’m normally a 10, but had to exchange for a 10.5. They are really, really delicate and cute and I’ve gotten many compliments. They do dig in at the heel a bit because the rim of the shoe is elastic. Hopefully this will improve with wear. I was thinking that this might be amended by going up a size... I might try that in the black this time!

I have a narrow foot, and usually wear either a 9.5 or 10 depending on the shoe. Sometimes I can't even wear a slip on shoe in medium width due to my feet being so narrow, but the 9 medium in this shoe fits me perfectly. These are a little different from other Privos, in that they seem so light and a little stretchy. So even if it feels a little snug at first, it should stretch and mold to your foot. Plus the fabric is mesh in some places so there is excellent ventilation! LOVE these shoes!

4th pair!!
I have these in white, black and brown. Just bought my second pair of black. I wear them every day to work. They are the lightest, most comfortable shoes I've ever owned yet they have support and at the end of the day on my feet they don't hurt. I buy a half size smaller than my own size and they stretch a bit to fit perfectly. I will wear this style until they fall apart!

I love the look of this shoe; however, I followed the advice of the previous reviews and ordered a half size smaller against my better judgment and they are almost a half size too small. I don't know why I am different than everybody else. I still like them and still love Zappos and the reviewers.

Cute, but fit is off -
I normally wear a 6 1/2W, but ordered a 6W due to the recommendations here. The length was fine, but the heel was wide - I walked out of it with and without socks. The toe box was nice and roomy, but the area where the strap is was a little pinched. No Clarks/Privos for me.

Comfy and really roomy - Bought the Privo Float in chocolate 7W for traveling. Really love it, but it does run extra wide and long. This can be a good thing sometimes as my left foot tends to swell after a long day of sightseeing.

Feels like I'm walking on tissue -
I usually take a size 10 shoe, but the size 9 Float works well for me. Overall, even the medium runs wide (as do many Clarks shoes), and although the heel is still a tad wide, I can always put a heel pad in to minimize that. Overall, fantastic shoe! Easily works with shorts or summer skirts--perfect for my upcoming vacation to Italy!

Maybe if you love ballet flats...
I would say that if you really like ballet flats, and have success wearing them, then these will probably fit your feet. Otherwise, you might have a problem because the strap goes right across the widest part of your foot, and is not adjustable [only has a small amount of elastic for "give"]. I don't have particularly large or wide feet, but the right shoe made a horrific creaking sound like it was going to rip apart, and it looked in danger of doing that. Although I had high hopes, I did return these shoes, making them the first pair I can ever remember returning anywhere any time.

Super-comfortable!
I bought these to have a casual pair of shoes to wear with skirts and jeans this summer.
These are super-comfortable and airy. They breathe nicely. The little dots on the footbed are comfortable. I consider myself pretty picky with shoe comfort, and these are fast becoming my favorites. I am usually a size 10 and have plenty of room in the size 9 pair I bought. I think they look a little more delicate than the photo above would indicate.

 |  | Want you to know these shoes I ordered will work out just fine for me. I had to return two other pairs of shoes I thought would fit. I've gone through four surgeries on my left foot for cancer which has changed my foot size and kept me in a wheelchair for several months. Thanks to your return policy I was able to find a walking shoe that now works and I'm able to get around. You made it possible for me to get on my feet again. With time I'll purchase other shoes when my feet reach a stable size. Since my foot size is far wider than average I also appreciate you increasing your inventory of wide shoes for selection. With time, you'll gain more customers for these shoes and find they'll be loyal to Zappos!
