It really is like a snow boot with a heel. Not at all what it looks like in pictures. These shoes are so thick and just not very stylish. Pretty unattractive. Plus, they are so thick that they barely zip over the calf.

Looks nice in pictures. In reality, it is a snow boot with a heel. The outside is a thick synthetic faille, with a thin foam fabric inside. Synthetic materials already don't breathe, but add padding to it - ugh! I am 5'10", size 12 foot, and I think I have medium-sized calves. The shaft of the boot was fine, even a little roomy, but not too big. I just imagined that wearing a long skirt, they would make that swishy noise that lets everyone know you are coming. Not desirable for me. The thought of non-leather was good, but no need for insulation! I have snow boots. These were supposed to be for style. Pointy toes were as expected, comfort-wise. Toes a little smashed, but tolerable, as women's shoes often are.

Skinny legs -
I loved everything about the boots, but I have to return them-- but, not because there's anything wrong with the boots. In fact, I've kept them in the box and have looked at them daily because I love the look; texture and size of heel so much. The problem is, if you have skinny legs, these boots tend to look like wading boots at the knee, (they are too wide at the top) and just don't look right on me. These boots are only for women with shapely calves and are not for those with skinny legs and boney knees.

Very comfortable boots and available in the larger sizes. While I wanted leather, the nylon weave material is soft and appears to hold up well.

Nice enough boot -
This boot was a whole size larger than expected. I ordered the 11 and, unfortunately, wore them thinking that they were just wide. I padded them up with two insoles and socks! Then I ordered size 10 and they were perfect. I have a VERY slim calf and narrow foot. The instep area has an unattractive bulge. The manmade sole is somewhat thin but for the price; the color quality of the fabric is good.

Best boot in the West -
This boot is the most comfortable of all the boots I owned. After receiving the first pair, I order a second in a different color - I LOVE THEM!

Not for wider calf people -
The boot was very sexy and stylish. I hated to return them but they barely zipped up my leg. I ordered a size 12ww and the foot area fit great but the shaft has no stretch.

I recently purchased these boots which were delivered overnight with no shipping or handling fees. Can't beat that. They are very comfortable from the moment you put them on. Can be worn with both jeans or a skirt and look great.

I wore these boots for the first time to a party where I stood and danced most of the night. They were stylish and my feet never hurt. I have a wide foot and never expected them to feel good. I love these boots! I didn't like the sheen on the black ones or I'd have them too!

Nice boots I wish they fit -
They are just okay - I want the "gorgeous" boots that cost more but they just won't fit me.
I mean, are other people's calves so small that adding an inch (and not much give) qualifies these as "wide calf"?
I haven't decided whether to return them yet because I can zip them with great difficulty over tights but with even skinny jeans - forget it.

I agree - no stretch to the calf :(
When I got these I was so excited to try them on... Sadly, that didn't last long because there is absolutely NO way that the calves on this boot are 16 inches. I measured the size 8.5 and at the top, the boots had a 15 inch circumference. I was totally sad - there was no way these were going to zip, since I have athletic 16" calves. Back to Zappos they go... If you have wide calves I'd avoid this one!

Sexy dress boot -
This boot is a really classy looking microfiber material that feels really nice on. If you have large calves, this wouldn't be the boot for you. I have slim calves, and it looks GREAT! Very dressy and very comfortable.

No-stretch stretch boot -
I was so excited to try on a boot that was both stylish and would, hopefully, fit over the calf of my leg, only to be terribly disappointed to find that there is absolutely no stretch whatsoever to this boot. I consider myself to be neither skinny nor fat, but I do have a muscular calf and have a horrible time trying to find a boot that will go over that part of my leg. In conclusion, the advertising for this particular product is very false and misleading...

Not wide enough -
There's no way the circumference on this boot is 16". My calves measure 15-1/2 on one leg, and 16" on the other. I couldn't even begin to zip this over my calf. There was about a 2" gap between the top of the zipper. Other than that, it's a very cute boot, and it felt very comfortable. I was disappointed I had to return it.

Where is the stretch in these????
I LOVE the look of this boot and was so excited when I opened the box. I have 17" calves so thought these would fit perfect given that they are 'stretch'. They do not stretch AT ALL. NO GIVE WHATSOEVER!! I was so disappointed because I love them. Unfortunately my search continues. I love Zappos though and will continue to shop with them.

Disappointed -
From the picture I liked the looks of this boot, with the buckle embellishment. However, when it arrived I thought the material bade the boot look cheap. Also, I have trouble finding tall boots that fit my small calf, these are no exception. The boot was comfortable when I wore them around the house; just couldn't get pass the appearance. Will be returning these. I shopped Zappos.com for their shipping policy, I don't like to shop and the rural area I live in it is hard to find stylish items. So I like to shop online.
