I love these shoes! Ive always found that Doc Martens are great quality. Compared to other Doc's that I have, these seem to be about a 1/2 size smaller than they say, but the leather is very soft and does give (unlike some leather). I would absolutely recommend these shoes to anyone. They are adorable on! And very comfortable. Also, I just want to say that Zappos rocks in every way! Keep up the good work!

These are my first pair of Docs. They are heavier than the shoes I normally wear, but now healing from a sprained my ankle, these shoes feel solid and grip nicely on slick surfaces. I have gotten a lot of compliments which was unexpected since I was actually more concerned about ankle support. I wear a 6 1/2. Initially I ordered a 6 and my toe was at the tip so I ordered the 7 which was much too big and loose. Since the leather is nice and soft, the size 6 gave just enough on the first day that they fit well now. As usual there is no arch support in Docs, but I inserted an arch support making them feel much better. They have become one of the first pair of shoes I reach for everyday. I wear them with casual slacks for work and jeans on weekends.

I knew Docs only came in whole sizes, I'm a 6.5, and I've had bad luck with the sizing before, but these were too cute so I threw the dice. When I first put these on, they actually were NOT tight, instep or otherwise. Whoo hoo! My ONLY concern was that my big toes were slightly touching the end of the shoe if my foot wasn't cinched down pretty well with the strap. Not good. But I persevered. Since I commute by bike daily, the pedaling motion has likely helped stretch these, no toe touch, and I've actually had to put an insert it, a bit more stretch than I'd like has occurred. I may also have to put a heel insert in because my heels do lift a bit. No blisters or hot-spots, though! Some might say that a new, fairly expensive pair of shoes should not need so much tweaking. Maybe this shoe is a bit heavy. I think these shoes are adorable.

OMG! These shoes are WONDERFUL! I've been a Doc's fan for many, many years; I still own and wear my very first pair of boots from about 15 years ago (p.s. they are still in amazing condition). I recently underwent a really difficult spinal surgery that has left me with nerve damage in my leg and foot. I've been unable to wear anything other than flip-flops and ballet slippers since. No longer! I put these on the minute I pulled them out of their box and have not had one second of discomfort with them! They didn't even require a "break in" period for me! I do have a very narrow foot, but I wore them for hours at a bachelorette party the first night and had zero discomfort. I would highly recommend these shoes and wear them all of the time, they look great with skirts, jeans, slacks, etc. I have the black ones and wear them with pretty much anything. Enough of my enthusiastic ramblings! Buy 'em!

Cute clunkers -
As a middle-age mom still hanging on to my "industrial/goth" youth, I picked up a pair of Dr. Martens Mary Janes. They were all I expected them to be. My foot is a bit wide and since having kids my feet tend to puff in warm weather, but these still fit and look good. They're tricky to run in (if you anticipate the need to break into a spontaneous sprint), and not too cushiony. They are very well constructed and appear indestructible (I've been wearing them for about 2 weeks now). I like the "stripey" detail on the toe and the strap is placed well so that I can slip my foot in/with without fiddling with the closure, yet it keeps the shoe secure on my tootsies. They actually give a little noticeable height too (1.5"?).

This shoe is so comfortable that I can wear it every day. I wear a wide shoe and these fit like a glove. They also go with everything from jeans to shorts to a skirt. I teach at a high school and I get tons of compliments from the kids about them.

Love these shoes!!!
I have never owned a pair of Docs before and I am not disappointed in these. They are very comfortable, maybe a little wide in the toe area for me, and I like that you can adjust with the buckle. I love these for work and wear them with anything I possibly can.

I really love my shoes. They are a pinch wider than expected, but the strap adjustment solved that. These are totally worth the $$. I love them, and they look great with everything!

The lining tore! Just like other reviews, my beloved boots are ruined. I tried having them fixed but it was impossible. So cute, and yes worth the money but not worth it in the long run. It happened after about 10 wears, so beware if you decide to buy these.

These shoes fit a little big but after synching the buckle down all the way they fit great! No longer moving around at the heel. SUPER CUTE and great for both work and special occasions. Haven't had them very long but seem durable and well made. Highly recommended.

Classic Dr Martens -
Like all Dr Martens, these are heavy shoes. They are supportive and comfortable, but HEAVY. So if you are planning on walking all day in these, be prepared for the weight! That said, they are very comfortable and cute. They have a bit more height to them than the regular Dr Martens Mary Janes and the flower design is really cute, too.

Why did I wait so long?
It’s been at least 10 years since my last pair of Docs and now I don't know why. These were so comfy, I wore them around the house the day they arrived just for fun. Great with skirts or pants, can rock a job interview. Only a tiny bit of chafing at the strap for my super high-arched feet.

One of my fav. shoes (next to my other docs!)
I love this show! I have it in brown, my only complaint is that I can’t wear it with my black pants (well... I guess I COULD... it would look strange though)
Very comfy! I'm a teacher who stands on her feet from 8am - 3:30pm and never once have my feet hurt afterwards! I don’t even remember a break in period, they just felt good from day one!

Too cute!
These shoes are too cute! They look great with jeans, black pants, and my jean skirt. I can wear them to work and on the weekends without any problem. I normally wear a US size 7.5 and ordered the UK size 5, and they fit perfectly. My feet are wide, and I don't have any problems with them being tight. So comfortable and cute! I want the brown pair next!

This shoe is really adorable! I didn't have to break them in at all. They were comfy from the moment I put them on. I have really high arches, so I was a bit worried about the strap, but I actually had to tighten it from the default hole. (I do have pretty skinny feet though, so that may have something to do with it.) The perfect balance between cute and punky!

Okay. These are the cutest shoes ever. They go with so many outfits. They are my dream shoes. They do make your feet look a little bit bigger, but that is perfect for me because I’m a UK size 3. These shoes are a bit heavy, but awesome!
