These are beautiful boots but I have a wide calf and although the boot comes in wide , it still wouldn\'t close over an athletic calf. The leather is very soft and I would say the footbed runs a little long. Sadly I will return these but there are many other choices from Zappos.

These boots are awesome. The fit is perfect for me and great arch support. I walked in them all day yesterday which is a lot to ask of a dress boot and they stayed very comfortable.

These are very nice boots, I can't wait to wear it with dress. The leather is very soft and smooth.

A Truly Well-Made Boot -
This is my second pair of Jenny boots. La Canadienne cannot be beat in making a boot that looks good, feels good, and is made as consciously as a leather product can be (if you have those kind of concerns). I was having such a tough time finding a pair of boots that wouldn't cost $300, but I ended up just going for this boot because everything else I tried was inferior. I know the price makes you flinch, but the boot will make you smile for years to come.

Love the boot...very classic look but stylish and so comfortable - I wear them all day at work walking around a hospital. They were a little tight around my calf but that might be due to the lining which makes them really warm too. Only frustration was that the color started to fade the first day I wore them! Hope it doesn't "rub off" too much more; they already look old even though they are brand new.

I loved this shoe! I didn't have to break them in at all. I am on my feet all day at work and by the time I get off my feet are hurting. With these boots my feet don't ache no more. It is worth the money you pay for them.

This shoe is wonderful! I just can't say enough good things about it. It is comfortable, warm, and very cute too. Originally I bought the shoe for my daughter and borrowed them once to walk out to the mailbox, well...that was all she wrote. I now own the shoes and need to order a pair for her. :)

Great all-around boot -
Fits nicely, even on my painful bunion-y foot (I ordered 10W). The dark brown is a terrific color--so rich it'll work with black, too, if you're only buying one pair of boots this winter. Shaft fits well, too. I don't have large calves, and these look right--comfortable circumference but no bagginess or gaps.

I love La Canadienne boots.
These boots are very comfortable for walking, they look professional at work or casual with jeans, and they are waterproof.

I was amazed that I was able to immediately wear these boots right from the box. I wore these boots all day (and I have sensitive feet) and let me tell you, these were so comfortable to wear all day and evening. Zappos, thank you for delivering these amazing boots to my door so quickly!

These are sexy AND comfortable! I agree with the reviewer who said that the detailing is not very visible on the black suede. However, they are a really great looking boot. I wore them right out of the box and had zero problems all day - and I am on my feet a lot! They are a little large on the ankle for me, but they fit my muscular calves perfectly! Got tons of compliments.

Great everyday boot -
I really like this boot. It's comfortable and has a very simple, clean look which goes with everything. I wear them with both skirts and trousers. Not a very dressy boot--you'll need something else for evenings out, but great for an everyday boot.
My only complaint is that the zipper is noisy! Every step I take with these in a skirt, I can hear the clink clink of the zipper. It's a little bit annoying, but not annoying enough to send them back!

As good as it gets. Beautiful leather, sleek look, warm, and comfortable the moment I put them on. Enough room in the toe box and the leather has stretched so that I can zipper up the boot around my chubby calves. I wish there were more arch support and more cushioning on the footbed, but I'm being picky. This is the best boot I've had and worth every penny.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: La Canadienne makes the best boots.

I'm very picky about shoes and have spent ages attempting to find the right long boot. Finally found it! It has all the criteria I was looking for - excellent quality, beautiful leather, perfect comfort (most important!), waterproof, and understated with a flattering square toe and stacked heel. This is the most I've spent on boots, but it's worth it to me for this kind of quality and expectation of years of wear.

Amazing - These are, far and away, the most comfortable pair of boots, right out of the box, I've ever tried. I could walk miles in these with absolutely no breaking in. They are very sleek and plain (no ornamentation), so a clean, modern look. Leather is very nice, smooth, and speaks of quality. The toe box is squared and very roomy. I have a high instep, and these feel fabulous. Highly recommend this boot.

Made for walking -
I wore these boots all last winter. They are very comfortable, look great with pants or long skirts, hold up well in salted sidewalks, and kept my feet dry.

Great boot at a great price -
I love you Zappos. I can't believe how fast these came! And WOW...to find a La Canadienne boot for less than 200! This is a really well made boot with gorgeous leather. NOT made in China. Yep, actually made in Canada, folks! Has that good, leather smell. Perfect shaft height that looks good with dresses and doesn't make your legs look stumpy. Perfect heel height. Fit my calves perfectly (but I'm kind of an average yoga-toned calf kind of a girl.) Zappos didn't have my size, so I went up a 1/2 size, and it was too big. So this is indeed true to size. Toe box is definitely square. Perfect boot. I'm just waiting for my size to come in!

Classic comfort -
Classic, elegant, little heel, comfortable and snug fitting on the leg.

This is a very nice pair of boots. The leather is supple and the look is stylish less the flashiness.
They could use more arch support but overall they are a comfortable fit.

Great Basic Boot!
I needed a good, stylish and comfortable black boot to wear with skirts, and this one definitely fit the bill! Very cute, and most importantly with my back troubles, very comfortable!

Love these!
These boots are perfect for someone who doesn't wear heels. Very stylish without being uncomfortable. I might add a thin insole to give them a little more cushion for walking, but overall they're perfect.

Best Boot Ever -
I've always been hard to fit since I have such a wide foot, but this boot fits like a glove. No break in period at all. Highly recommended.
