These rainboots are fantastic. I already have the Midnight Sparkle and the of course the Hunter Green. They are so comfortable, and the snug fit on the leg is perfect for walking in the city or out in the country. They also go with either a pant outfit or with a skirt, and of course are a real fashion statement. I've always ordered the same North American size, and never been disappointed. All three of my pairs look great with the red wellie liners as well. Trust the Brits to come up with something so practical - but then if you ever lived there, you need wellies to deal with the weather and the distance from the car park to the shops!!!

These boots are FANTASTIC!! I am only 5'2" and have skinny legs, so I worried about whether or not I would feel good in these, but I love them!! Yes, they're tall - they hit me just below the knee, but in the torrential rains I recently experienced, I was glad for that fact! They don't fit tightly around my calves, but they look perfectly fine! The gap isn't so big that it's funny looking. Besides, I prefer to tuck my pants in to keep them out of the elements, so there is plenty of room for that. They simply remind me of my riding boots, only more comfortable. I generally wear a size 6. Once in a while I can manage a 5 1/2 and even more of a maybe a 6 1/2. I ordered UK3 EU35/36 US4M/5F and the fit is ideal for me. Easy on and off, but no slippage going on that would hinder walking. They are as comfy as a field boot is going to get folks! I have mucked around in horse excrement, I have taken my hounds out for exercise, I have kicked around for 4 days at a dog show in rain, hail, and sun and I have cleaned them up and worn them in town when there was rainy weather coming. They're perfect. I even recently ordered a short boot. I also ordered a pair for my husband for father's day. I highly recommend them! I do have other brands of "wellies" but these are my most favorite!! Go with the Hunter. :-)

These boots are great. It's been raining almost nonstop this whole spring and these boots have not let me down during my hikes and hunts in the backwoods. I followed the advice of some of the other reviewers and ordered a size down and the boots fit perfectly.

Just got my boots today and love them! I usually wear a 10 but followed the advice of all who posted here and ordered a size down. Fit well even with my thicker socks. I have had no problem tucking my jeans into this boot at all. I am 55 and the boots hit just below my knee. Now I am actually hoping the rain keeps up here in NY so that I can wear my boots!!!

LOVE these boots. I like the tighter fit around the calves since it turns these utilitarian and practical items into a fashion statement as well. I heeded others' advice about the sizing; I usually wear a 7.5 to 8 shoe and ordered these in a size 6 -- and they fit perfectly. I have yet to test their total waterproofness (something other boots I've had cannot boast), but feel confident with Hunter's reputation that they will stand the test!

I got the classic black and they look terrific with dark skinny jeans or even my pencil skirts for work. A thick pair of socks and no blisters during the twenty-minute walk to the office.

Don't buy if you have large calves -
Unfortunately for me, I've always had a problem fitting my calves into boots. I can't imagine that I'm the only one with this problem b/c my calves aren't freakishly huge or anything. I had high hopes for these boots but they were way too tight on my calves. Also, when they arrived, they seemed almost dirty with a weird film on them. Maybe I would buy them again if I have calf reduction surgery one day...

I ordered two pair - one in my size (7), and based on another review, one a size smaller (6). The size smaller was the better fit. Be warned - they basically run a whole size bigger.

These wellies are absolutely amazing! They are so comfortable to walk in and look great any way you wear them. I have worn them with shorts, leggings, and jeans worn inside and out and all styles look fabulous. This is definitely a must for rainy days any time of year!

I love these boots! Great for rainy, muddy weather. However, I followed the advice to order down a size and they were too small--had to send back. I normally wear a 7-7.5, and the 7 fits perfectly. It's loose enough to add a softer footbed insert. Definitely recommend!

I love these boots. They look good and will get you through any weather, but you might need thick socks to make them more comfortable for walking long distances.

You can buy cheaper waterproof boots than these, but not the quality. If you are really short (below 5'2") these boots will definitely be too high and will cut into the back of your knees! Otherwise, these are great and run true to size. Just remember to wear thicker socks with them.

These boots are great! I just purchased them a few weeks ago. They are perfect for the city streets, where puddles are unavoidable on sidewalks and in subway stations. Worth the price, from what I've seen. My only complaint is that they are hot. This will probably be swell for fall and early spring. Right now, though, if there's only a "chance" of rain, I leave them at home so I'm not overheated on my commute. Very comfortable, I may try the accompanying boot sock.

These are the comfiest rain boots ever! Ordered a pair in orange and I absolutely love them! You can't go wrong with this brand. I'm a 7 but it fit a full size too large, go a size down.

These are great boots! Very comfortable and durable for the New York winters, they also add a little bit of height without looking chunky and the sleek, fitted calf means that I don't have to feel frumpy and manly in rainy weather. The only drawback is that if its warm or humid outside wearing these boots all day can get a little sweaty since they're solid rubber and not very breathable, so I'm still looking for some kind of warm-weather alternative.

Was very thankful people had written reviews regarding the size issue. I went with the advice to go down a size from my regular size 6 to a 5 -even though I was hesitant- and it was a perfect fit! I have worn them for several long days when the weather was rainy and never found them to be anything but a dream. Plenty of room to tuck in jeans too.

I am going to Alaska this summer and high waterproof boots are on the packing list. After reading reviews about the Hunter boots, even though they are a little more expensive than others, I chose them. I wasn't sure which size to order because the reviews said they ran large, so I ordered both sizes. I wear a size 9 and that is the one I kept. They are flattering and comfortable. I also purchased the socks that go with them and in addition to being warm, they enhance the look. I have never ordered from Zappos before and their return policy made it easy for me to take a chance. I will definitely order from them again.

I've gotten in the habit of ordering multiple sizes at once from Zappos (I'm sure I'm not the only one!) & in this case, am glad I did. The sizing is a bit wonky; I generally wear anywhere from a size 9 to a 10. I ended up going with the size 8 Hunters. They're a tad too short in length this way, but the 8 1/2s were too floppy. I imagine a little floppiness would be fine if you only want these for walking around in the garden or short trips to and from work, but I like to lunge around in the rain, so the 8s worked better. These boots are apparently all the rage, too, since I got myself into them, stepped outside, and found that 1 out of every 10 women in Chicago has a pair!

Love my Hunter boots. I am a serious gardener and did not purchase this boot to be stylish so I was not upset when they arrived looking less than perfect. A whitish film was left on them and I guess this is normal. However, I know some girls may not appreciate the appearance. I like a lived in looking boot. ABSOLUTELY love shopping Zappos. EXTREME good service.

I love my rain boots!!! I was nervous about choosing the right size after reading other reviews. I followed the advice on the sizing, and my boots fit perfectly! I ordered a US 7, one size smaller than my regular sneaker size. I have plenty of room for wool knee socks. They are so great! I commute via bus and train, and the boots are even comfortable walking several city blocks. I could wear them all day. I ordered merlot, and they match everything. Thank you Zappos! The service was immediate and friendly. Even in the past when I have made returns, I have received stellar service.

LOVE THESE BOOTS! I actually look forward to rain now! After reading the other reviews I ordered a size smaller than I usually wear and I am happy I did, they fit great! They fit well around the calf but too snug to tuck my pants in.

These are the best rain boots I have ever owned. They are tough, have a good tread, and despite my having large calves, they fit great. So far they have proved well in snow and rain.

Silver Hunters are what you would expect -
The boot is a fairly comfortable rather roomy feel. It is fun and does what it sets out to do: it keeps you very dry in wet weather.
