Love the lights, looks like police car lights. My son was the envy of his 4-year-old friends. The wide size is perfect for his wide feet. The tongue is a bit short so if you don’t pull it out before you close the velcro, it sometime bunches up a bit. Other than that, great shoe.

My son loved these for the first four or five days because they light up and they were new. After the newness wore off, he prefers his other Stride Rite shoes. The tongue in these tends to bunch up and they seem to be a little heavier than his other shoes.

I ordered these sneakers for my 4 year old. He loves them! He wants to wear them everyday. From the moment he wakes up he's asking where his shoes are. He also likes to run and stomp on them to show off the lights! I'm happy since Stride Rite is my favorite brand of shoes for toddlers. They're a bit overpriced but good quality.

Love the Lights -
My son is almost four and loves these shoes. They are still a bit large on him, but they seem comfortable and very supportive. The strap also allows for a good snug fit. My son loves stomping to show off the lights to everyone. My only minor complaint is that the tongue of the shoe seems too short. It's hard to pull up on it while putting your foot in at the same time. It's easy enough to fix though.

My son loves this shoe!
I'm not even sure that he cares much about the lights but he gets excited when he wears them because he has so much more support that he can run faster.

Stride Rite's Asteroid H&L Toddler shoes -
Stride Rite's Asteroid H&L Toddler athletic shoes are very well made shoes. The shoes have strong bindings on both the velcro over tabs, no raveling, no coming apart. The bindings are also strong around the base of the upper shoe where it attaches to the sole. The lights are in the side and are quite eye-catching making a kaleidoscope of colors every time my grandson's foot hits the floor. They are sized exactly right. I came to Zappos because the store fronts here did not have the E widths in toddler shoes. My grandson has a wide and thick foot. The upper is very well made with even texture and strong seams. The inside is plush & padded with lots of support for those fast moving feet. I highly recommend these shoes.

Great Buy, Happy Boy -
My 4 year-old son wanted shoes with lights and these were the perfect answer - they are flexible enough for him to run with the big boys (and chase his sister) he loves the lights - they seem to work fine through rain and mud (so far) and they are easy enough for him to put on and take off himself after naps at school. I highly recommend them.

Zappos delivered shoes within one day and arrived in the AM. The shoes look really cute, were available in extra wide, and my 2 year old loves the lights. I think they are comfortable because he has not indicated otherwise.

A Five-Year Old's Favorite Shoe -

Finally, a shoe that fits.
My son is like me in that his feet are far too wide for normal shoes, and even so-called "wide" shoes. We'd been buying him oversized shoes just to get the width right, but I ordered this shoe in extra-wide and it is PERFECT. Zappos is a godsend for both of us, and a big help for wide-footed people everywhere.

I had a hard time finding extra wide shoes for my grandson that light up. He is 3 1/2 and these were great. He adores his new shoes and states they are very comfortable. They are well made and nicely padded inside. Zappos was great as always and quick.

Happy Grandson -
I ordered this shoe for my grandson and he is so happy. He is 3 1/2 years old and this is the first shoe he had that did not hurt his very wide foot. I ordered a 10 XW. It is cute and sturdy. He of course thinks he can run and jump much higher now. He even left these on which he never does. I was surprised at how bright these lit up and he was overjoyed. Zappos had them to us in 2 days. I love Zappos and Stride Rite shoes are so comfy.

This Stride Rite shoe is very cute. My 2 yr old son loves the red, blue and yellow blinking lights! He has wide feet so I bought wide in his size, but it was not a true wide. It's a little tight on him.

Zappos is a great resource for shoes in extra wide widths. I love the SUPER fast one day shipping and the free shipping return services. While the prices seem steep when you compare the time/gas in going out to the store to fit kids and the other items you buy while there that may not be needed plus the free return shipping this is a good deal.

I have never seen my 4 year old so excited to wear a pair of shoes before! He was absolutely ecstatic about the lights! After having worn Crocs all summer long, he was resistant to putting any kind of real shoe on as his wide feet had grown accustomed to being able to spread out! The width of these shoes is great and most importantly, my son says that they feel great! Something rarely heard!

Stride Rite's a hit!
These shoes replace a pair that were purchased last year...nice redesign and the lights seem brighter! My son just started kindergarten and absolutely loves 'em. Great shoes, excellent quality and impeccable service from Zappos! The next day delivery is no joke!!

My little boy loves these shoes!!
They are perfect!!! He loves that they light up (which is very hard to find in XW) and says the feel great on!! Zappos was wonderful to do business with and worked with us when we had a sizing issue. They have great customer service and we def. buy shoes here again.
