I wore only once and was in a lot of discomfort on one heel where the seam is the front cut into my instep. I am planning to return this week. How do I go about that? I cannot wear them.

This has to be one of the best pair of shoes ever! If you have narrow feet, this is the shoe for you. The Velcro straps allow adjustment on BOTH sides and across the top allowing for a snug fit without giving the shoe a 'funny/lopsided' look. There was no break in time for these shoes, they have good support and they are a thong style - which those with narrow feet know how hard it is to find a cute shoe in that style. The decorative braided strap that runs along the side of the main-cross strap really adds to the look of this sandal. I have received many comments on how cute these look - even on my long, skinny feet! If you haven't tried the Merrell brand before, I would highly recommend giving them a try.

Little slice of heaven for a big foot -
Very pleased with the style, comfort, and fit of David Tate's Starlite. This shoe will afford about 2 hours of standing, but is better for intermittent standing. At size 12, it is hard to find a stylish, feminine shoe. This is absolutely it! (From a feminine, but tall, lady trial lawyer!)

Great business shoe -
I wore them for the first time on a business trip - through three different airports and a full day in the office and my feet still felt good. It's so hard to find an attractive high-heeled pump in a WW and these delivered! The Antique Brown is a great color, very versatile, although the leather could be a little richer looking. I'll be ordering another pair as soon as I decide which color to try next.

Excellent fit and value -
I bought these in black patent in size 6W. They fit my wide toe box perfectly and were not too big in the heel. My heel is about average size, so sometimes wide width shoes are too big. These seemed fine. If the leather stretches out as I wear the shoes, I can just add a heel liner. The style is classic for the office and the patent leather gave it a more luxurious look. The shoe was a good value, considering it is all leather, including the inside lining. So it keeps your feet dry and comfortable - great for the warm summer months. There is also a suede fabric under the toe area which helps your foot from going too far forward. They seem slightly long - maybe a half size or even a quarter size too big. Not enough to make me change sizes though, especially because a smaller size would start to squish my toes.

I really like these shoes. I was looking for a black leather pointed toe high heel and this one was perfect. Many of the shoes I looked at had a really pointy toe which I didn't like. The toe on these shoes are not too pointy. They feel good and look great with many different outfits.

Great shoe for the office and stepping out.
Overall I'm pleased with the shoe. They are very comfortable and look great for work or going out. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the leather, not as rich as I had hoped but overall, I'm pleased.

I love the look. I am grateful for size availability. I had bought a David Tate pair of shoes in a different color and the fit was perfect. But I found these black ones to be a little narrower. Perhaps it is a 13W instead of a 13WW. But I think it will work for me overall. I will keep them.

Versatile shoe -
I wear a lot of brown and the brown antique leather goes with a variety of shades. I like the shoe a lot... gave it a 4 for comfort only because my feet become uncomfortable in heels after an extended length of time, no matter how well they are made.

Terrific shoe for the price!
Love the amount of room it gave me (I bought the W). Terrific comfort for intermittent walking (especially given the heel height), but not for long periods of standing. Great classic look.

Before the heel broke, these shoes were a great find.
I bought these shoes in November of 2007. I was really excited about them since they came in my hard to find size, 11AAAA and they were going to make great interview shoes. I found them to be attractive and comfortable. However, in March 08, after I had only worn them a few times, the heel broke off. I couldn't believe it and neither could the people standing around me at work. It was like something out of a movie! Based on the other reviews, I assume that these shoes are generally found to be of high quality. However, I had a much different experience and thought you should know when trying to decide whether to buy them.

Close to the perfect pump -
I was surprised that I could find a pump that was so comfortable since my feet are kind of wide and I usually hobble. After I broke these in for a day, they were comfortable all day. The perfect office shoe.

I normally wear a 7-1/2 W, but after reading some of the reviews I went with the extra wide. Oh my goodness, I'm in love. These are the most comfortable heels I've ever owned! They arrived yesterday and I wore them dancing tonight, free of any pain!

Love it, Love it!
My foot is very, very short and very, very wide. Usually shoes of this type are unavailable to fit me. This shoe in a 7ww not only fit, but I was able to get a 6 1/2 ww which is much closer to my real size. (I usually have to get a 7 to make it fit.) I love it for dressy and it looks great.

Balanced, cushioned footing makes long walks easy.
I'm so happy with these heels. I hate most high-heels but these balance my ankle so I don't wobble. And the leather interior is cushioned in the toe area so my toes don't get cramped or achy. Finally - heels as comfortable as flats!

I am really happy with these shoes. I bought the antique pewter. When my husband saw them he told me there was a flaw on the toe. I had to explain they were meant to look that way. I am waiting for them to go "on sale" so I can order more colors. I wear a 4 and have trouble finding heels. Love to dance and the sole on these don't stick at all. They are really comfy.

They're really different & sharp -
I read that several people thought the shoe was not true to size, but I thought it fit perfectly on my 10N. In fact, I wore it out for several hours and without any discomfort. The shoe does need arch support, but even that didn't bother me at my outing. I think the shoe is sharp. I wish for more with a moderate heel height.

Please do not waste your money on this one. It looks and feels very cheap. The leather feels like plastic, and there is no arch support.
Very poorly built! I just got them yesterday, and didn't even wear it outside yet, and it's falling apart! I'm returning these.

While shopping with Zappos.com, I discovered that because I can get the right width shoe, I actually need a 1/2 size smaller than I normally was wearing. I get a better fit and that's wonderful! I am very impressed with the shipping. I am not quite sure about the returns I sent back.

The problem may be the little toe on my left foot because it hurts when I wear the shoes. I am hoping that the shoe will "give" eventually. Also, I am a senior citizen, and I can remember when "leather" was not man-made; hence, I am somewhat disappointed. The style is great for me. In spite of my comments, what I found at Zappos comes closest to what I have been looking for, and I plan to shop with you again.
