One is Fantastic while the other one is snug -
I love love love these shoe... One foot feels totally wonderful while the other one wore a blister on my foot. I am going to get it stretched hopefully. The style is just what I was looking for. I am making my remarks on the shoe that was wonderful... however, I gave it a 3 on comfort - right in the middle. If both shoes felt like the right foot it would be a 5+.

Good -- but Dansko can do better -
If you're used to Danskos traditional clogs, you'll be let down on the comfort factor. Takes a little while to break in the heel and it rubs a bit on the smallest toe. I had better luck with an older, clunkier mary jane model. The professional clog is still unbeatable; I'm actually on here now to buy a black pair of those to replace these because I don't like wearing them.

I was thrilled to see a Dansko shoe without some of the clunky and overdesigned features making me pass over Dansko in the past. I have been hoping that Dansko would offer a simple Mary Jane in black and chocolate, and Diana is just that! Danskos that I've bought in the past have fit my "deep" foot. By "deep" I mean that my big toe on each foot is almost an inch high from floor to top of toenail. Dansko's clogs are a boon because they are designed "deep" in the toe. Unfortunately, when I slipped on the much-anticipated Diana, my big toes were pinched; the vamp was too tight and looked distorted, not a happy beginning for a pair of shoes that were to become part of my basic daily wardrobe. I was ready to (reluctantly) return the shoes when I decided to try them without the removable footpad. They did not pinch, but the footbed felt hard and uncomfortable. A pair of Dr. Scholl's shoe pads did the trick, and I am greatly enjoying these new Mary Janes! In describing the fit of a shoe, perhaps you should offer the option of "deep." I cannot judge the Diana as too narrow or too small; they are merely too shallow unless the foot pad is removed. Thank you, thank you, Dansko, for chocolate brown, finally!!!

Surprising Fit -
I had to order one size up as my regular size (39) was way too tight. The (40) fits well. Wanted to let you know in case you plan on ordering it. Might save you the extra shipment!

I really was excited about these shoes until I wore them. I own six other pairs of danskos and love them all, but these really hurt my feet. The backs were stiff when I tried them on and the saleslady rolled them, but they still cut my ankles. The left shoe seems narrower than the right and squeezes my foot. I am not sure that I can stand to wear them long enough to "break" them in. Very surprised by how uncomfortable they were.

Love them!
I wear these to work every day and my commute includes about a mile of walking and a train ride where I have to stand most days (about 30 minutes of standing each way). These shoes are a godsend. My feet are no longer tired when I get home. I wear mine with peds that are cut really low, so it looks like I'm not wearing socks. I had to buy up a size.

I bought this shoe for a simple understated black shoe that I could walk in. The back part is very stiff and gave me blisters the first time I wore it, which was without socks. I've continued to wear the shoe with socks making it a comfortable shoe.

Finally!
The Diana fits my orthopedist’s order to wear a shoe (with my orthotic inserts) that doesn't bend heel to toe or twist sideways. I have to remove the cushiony insert that comes with it, in order for my orthotic to fit, but they work for me. I think they're adorable on and they don't look like "old lady" shoes. The leather is top-notch, colors great. A narrower width would be better for me, but the strap holds my foot in the shoe just fine. The Vibeka is similar, but not as comfortable and comes up higher on the foot. I love this shoe! Hope to get it in red someday!

Ouch! Cute, but uncomfortable!
Very cute shoe, but I cannot wear it any longer than a couple of hours, and even then, my feet are killing me. It especially presses in on the side of my small toes. What a waste of money! I cannot wear them, but cannot return them now. I had hoped that in time they would break in, but this has not happened. They are just as uncomfortable as they were from day one. I am very disappointed. This is my 2nd Dansko shoe that has been uncomfortable, so I am done with Dansko now.

These shoes take awhile to break in, but they are beautiful and comfortable. They do feel better with socks, so I am going to say that they feel a little small for the size. I wear a 7 1/2, but ordered a 38 which I think is an 8 and they are perfect with thin socks, a little snug on the front side with thick socks. Hope this helps.

Ouch...
It's hit or miss with Danskos for me. My first two pairs were like walking on clouds. Since then it has been kind of downhill. I've had two pairs of some sort of Dansko Mary Jane now - both incredibly uncomfortable after walking about in them. I have this particular shoe in red. Looks adorable in the closet, but kills my feet. It would look cute without socks, but the heel and the sides rub my feet. Even with socks, it's not much better. I will sometimes wear them when I'm feeling adventurous, but always end up regretting it. I do have wide feet, so maybe some people with narrower feet will have better luck. Still, I think I'm done with Danksos.

I would love to know what has happened to Dansko.
I would love to know what on Earth is going on with Dansko these days. I have about 4 pairs of Danskos, all size 41. They fit comfortably (i.e. my heel slips a bit, as it should in Danskos) with medium to thin weight socks. The last four pairs of Danskos I have tried on in size 41 are WAY too small even in THIN socks!
I really hope that shoe sizing isn't going the way of clothing sizing (changing sizes so larger people don't feel so bad about what size they wear) because there will no longer be any shoes that exist that fit me.

I ordered these in brown. They are the cutest shoes I have seen in a long time and seemed to be very comfortable. However, I have narrow feet so they were too wide and I had to return them. I wish so much they were available in 2AA or had an adjustable strap. Adorable style, very feminine.

Versatile shoe -
I was looking for a stylish, comfortable everyday shoe to go from jeans to casual slacks and skirts. This shoe does do that! The shoe really does not "break in". The leather is of great quality and is pretty stiff. It does dig in across the top of my left foot a bit. It does have good arch support and is a very versatile casual shoe.

Feeling pressure on top of my toes -
I bought these shoes because a friend has them, they looked cool, and she said they were comfortable. I'm still breaking them in and have only worn them 3 times, but they seem to apply downward pressure on my left toes for some reason. I'm hoping that they will loosen up as I wear them. They fit well in length and width and are true to size.

This shoe is fantastic. The fit is perfect. The width easily accommodates my wider foot. Is almost like wearing sneakers all day. I receive lots of compliments on these shoes.

Bummer -
I'm a Dansko purest - but this adorable mary jane is NOT comfortable. I've tried and tried to wear it - because it's the cutest pair of shoes in my closet, but every time, I'm limping by the end of the day. There is NO arch support and the leather cuts into my heel. If you're looking for a cute shoe - especially barefoot, it's great - but don't wear it if you're going to be walking or standing very much.

This is a nice looking Dansko for business wear. It's comfortable, but really needs to be broken in. Don't plan to wear them for a lot of walking right out of the box.

Wow. I was expecting a shoe that squeaked and felt terrible, but since I have had numerous other Dansko shoes that haven't given me problems and I loved the look of this shoe, I gave it a chance. Great shoe. NO SQUEAK. Toe box fit well, even for my slightly bigger than medium width. I haven't worn them outside of house trials, but I think the heel might rub a little bit. Nothing that a heel protector can't cure until it breaks in. I was pleasantly surprised.

Need smaller sizes!
I bought the red pair of these in a size 36 (I wear a 5/5.5), even though they were a little big. I ended up having to return them because they just didn't fit perfectly for the price. Unfortunately, they don't make a smaller size 35! So no dice for me.

Yesterday I was on the go in these shoes for 13 hours straight--walking, standing, stairs. My feet were not only cute, but they didn't hurt like I'd been on them all day. These have a narrower fit and less clunky look than my other Danskos, so they look good with pants or a skirt.

This shoe is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn other than my Dansko Mirabelle sandals. I have degenerative disk disease & can't walk without a cane except when I wear my Dansko's. And I still look fashionable, not dumpy. Thank you so much!!!

Quality maryjanes!
I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but I really wanted to try out this shoe...it has the look I was going for. Although I agree that the leather is quite stiff at first, (particularly in the heel), I have not really had a problem with breaking them in. I wear them with a light weight sock, and they are perfect. They ran true to size for me, and I love that they are all leather inside. I think they are too clunky to wear with a skirt, so I will stick to pants or jeans with them.
