Tsubo Acrea -
A statement shoe. Comfortable at first, then agonizing at the ball of the foot after time. This may be because the shoe is about a half-size too big for me. I didn't realize it until after I'd worn it for a few hours. The velcro closure felt a little flimsy until I got used to it, then it was just fine. Hope to take up the extra slack with heel pads. Too cute to give up. I think of it as a "fair-weather" shoe because the heel is suede. Not promising for Iowa winters!

Pretty but Ouch - These shoes are so beautiful. I had two compliments (from men) on the first day I wore them. But, they are stiff, stiff, stiff and they hurt after about an hour.

Ouch! These shoes are hard! I tried several pair of Tsubos and the others are made from a mush softer leather. I like the style better than the ones that come so far up your foot but I sent these back because they were so stiff and I didn't have the patience to break them in!

Love these shoes -
Love the shoes. So normally, Im a Dansko clog, gym shoe kind of person. I have wide feet and bad arches. Heels tend to scare me. I always feel off balance and my feet always hurt. That is, until these shoes - they freakin' rock. Theyre comfortable. Comfortable!!! They look good. And I feel like I have control of my footing and can walk around in them all day without feeling like Im going to topple over at any minute. Awesome.

A cautionary note -
I purchased two pairs of these shoes (black and brown) in short succession. It is something I now regret. To this day, both pairs give me blister if I wear them through the day (and they've been broken in). Walking around Paris this spring in the black pair, I was in agony. I even lost a toe nail. Plus, the shoes squeak - both pairs! And I'm not the only one who hears the squeaking, so it's kind of embarrassing. I've placed them both in the back of my closet because I feel too guilty to dispose of them
but inevitably, that's what I'll probably have to do.

Awesome everyday shoe!
Love them with everything from jeans to skirts. Lots of compliments. A bit tight on the top of foot area, but broke in o.k. They do scuff easily so if that bothers you, don't go there. Fit true to size. Dont order up. Not necessary.

Pretty good fit and more comfortable than your average heel. Not the kind of shoe you'd wear on an all day walking tour, but still the most comfy heel Ive tried that doesn't look like grandma gave it to me.

The shoes are too hard, too inflexible, especially in the front part. They are quite cool looking but they are not comfortable like other Tsubo shoes, which, by the way, let me say that Tsubo has pretty amazingly comfortable shoes. I don't know what happened with this style.

Love the style!
I get compliments on these shoes often, they look great. They hurt right on the top. I had to massage the top leather to make it more supple. Overall I'm very happy with them. I will say they do scratch easy.

Tsubo Acrea -
Ok, somebody actually DOES know what a funky shoe should look like AND feel like! Great shoe, tons of compliments, so cool looking and different. It is the tiniest bit tight on top of the foot, but it stretches out quickly. And the leather does scuff some but on the brown it just makes it look even better. You know its real leather all right! Can't feel the height at all, so easy to walk in. Great with pants, jeans, skirts, capris, you name it! My first pair, and am now a new fan of Tsubo.

Definitely order a half size larger than your street shoe to guarantee a good fit, but then again you should do this with any athletic type shoe. These are modeled on running spikes, so the fit is meant to be a bit snug at first, but the leather will give a bit and conform to your foot. This is a nice looking sneaker and the brogue style tooling adds a nice touch. However, if you need a highly structured shoe with strong arch support, this aint for you.

A comfortable heel
isn't that just a myth?!
My endless search for a high pump to accommodate a flat foot, beyond-narrow-heel, and long toes was impossible with never a good result. Through countless hours of frustration, I almost gave up. Although I'm a petite girl at 5'0", I was this close to shouting in dismay: I'll never be able to find the perfect heel! All of them slipped in the back, had cramped toeboxes, the works. Until this one pair of Tsubos - where I gave it one last shot and crossed my fingers. I have never felt a more comfortable pair of heels in my life. It's almost uncanny to call them heels, I couldn't believe they were this tall when they felt like nothing! For some reason, they remind me a lot of Vivienne Westwood. Although I was worried they looked "grandma-y" from online pictures, this isn't the case in the least. Cute, versatile, and most importantly - the most comfortable heels you'll have ever owned.

Holy Bananas, it's a swell shoe!
I am always hunting for grown up, maybe even a little sexy, shoes with straps. I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel. And without the strap, I trip out of my shoes! These were perfectly comfy right out of the box, and really glamorous in a neo-vintage sort of way. I ordered the CreMe and was astonished at just how cool they really are. On my 9.5 size foot, the velcro "lump" really isn't apparent... I think it may be one of those relativistic things and is maybe too heavy for a smaller foot unless you're a daring girl with lots of moxy! If you are on the fence about this one, I vote jump!

I LOVE THESE SHOES!
I wear flat or almost flat shoes 90+% of the time. I can wear Tsubo heels with NO discomfort. My feet are wider than most women's shoes are designed for, yet my toes don't feel crowded at all. I like this style so well; I now own them in three colors. They are my new default dress shoes.

Finally, a heel I don't want to toss!
First off, the look of these is great. They're so sexy & cute. I can't get over how awesome they look on.
I can never stay too long in heels, but these are pretty comfortable. I feel like the open back keeps blisters on the heel at bay. They certainly don't feel as high as they are when wearing them.
I'm in love with this shoe!

Perfect High Heel Shoe -
Cute and COMFORTABLE! The Acrea has a funkier look than your average pump so it's great with jeans as well as dressier clothes. The hidden platform makes it look super high, but it's comfortable enough to wear all day at work. Great all around shoe for the relatively inexpensive price. I'll be buying more colors.

I have the grey/pink version and they are great. I think they are quite modern/European looking and extremely comfortable. I've worn them dancing and had no problems or discomfort. I LOVE them! Grey shoes are hard to find and these are the coolest
love the contrasting pink.

Cool shoe, not so comfortable.
I love the look of this shoe. I got the Mecca/chartreuse combo and it's a deep brown that goes well with a lot of clothes. The red would probably have been more exciting and fun, but I still like them. As others say here, they're not as comfortable as they look. The height is great and the sling is very soft and comfortable. The velcro is strong keeping the shoe in place, but they do dig into the top of your foot near the opening. I hope they stretch out!

Pros and Cons -
I just received the grey/hibiscus today and will be returning them, but was very close to keeping them. Pros: very cute shape, love the seam in the toe, the angled strap, no problems with fit or comfort (often my feet are too wide for shoes). Cons: a lump of velcro where a cute buckle could be - I can see myself embarrassed to admit I'm wearing velcro shoes. The pink accent color does show on the sole and top and limits the versatility. I prefer to wear this style of shoe without socks and the vcelcro pokes my feet. Also, wearing without socks makes a sound every time I step (not cool). Overall, I just wouldn't be able to wear them enough to justify keeping them. Maybe in the future I'll decide to buy in another color to wear with socks. They are so close, yet no cigar.

Know your own foot!
If other shoes you've tried wearing cut into the top of your foot, this one will too! The reviews on this shoe were mixed but I loved the looks of it, so I took a chance & bought a pair (in red). I wouldn't say it was a mistake, but I will not be able to wear it as often as I'd hoped for. I received TONS of compliments on it, though--& I especially loved the red color; it goes with almost anything.
The shoe is very stable, especially for someone not used to wearing heels this high. I can wear an 8.5 if the shoe is wide enough; but this was Med so I ordered it in a 9 & it fit well (8.5 would've been WAY too tight in the toes). To break them in a little, I put some gel heel inserts on TOP of my feet, right at the base of my toes since that's where the top of the shoe dug in. That stretched them a little so when I wore them "for real" they weren't as bad.
This is a good shoe for me to wear to work (desk job) as long as I'm not going to be on my feet much.

Great but not picture perfect - The shoe looks fabulous online. I bought them in red...not bad but not OMG! Really interesting look to them if youre into a funky shoe, which I am, so these worked out good for my style. They are comfy. I teach and run around all day and look for shoes that arent grandma looking with the comfort. I would say they would need some kind of insole to give them some kind of cushioning. They are stable and work well for people with wide feet for there is room by the toes. I felt the pain that someone else mentioned on top of the foot where the shoe opens. But I think its due to being in them from 7am to 6pm. They scuff easily!!! Thats a major reason why theyre not perfect!

High heel and comfortable -
I bought these in the gray and they look really cool, sort of futuristic. The pink sole sticks out nicely too. What amazes me is how tall these are but they're still comfortable and reasonably easy to walk in. Not sure if I'd walk miles in these, but they're fine for everyday office/some walking wear. The heel strap rubs a bit on one of my feet, but otherwise no problems. Sweet!

Stable, cute, and comfortable- as platform heels go -
I have worn these several times now. The first time was for a wedding rehearsal and dinner. I have two toddlers so outside of looking great on; they worked well for keeping up with them. I happened to get them inch deep in some mud (of course with my kids)and was concerned about the soft leather heel, but they washed up good as new with a little bit of water. I am not a big heel person and can be hard on shoes...no scuffs yet. Finally, I am an 8 1/2 to a 9 and got the 8 1/2. It fits well, the back strap is not snug, but I personally like it that way, it does not feel awkward at all.
