Tight in the toe - Good looking shoe, but narrow across the toes. Didn't notice it at first, but after wearing all day it starts to bug you. Great service from Zappos though!

Great shoes -
Love them! They are exactly what I was looking for! I would say they fit true to size, are a bit tight, so you may have to stretch them out at first.

Good purchase - I was looking for a shoe that could accommodate walking and a little jogging; and it does just that. I haven't done too much jogging in them but they seem very comfortable. I do suggest to get a half size bigger than you think you need. I read the other reviews and did just that. It worked for me. The half size bigger fits just right. I got the green/gray pair. Not too flashy but has a cool modern look. I would say get this shoe if you are a walker and jog on occasion.

Comfortable everyday shoe that looks great. The heel feels narrow compared to some other shoes. As mentioned by others, these are smaller than marked, I had to return my first pair and go up a full size.

Another classic Asics -
This another excellent, classic Asics shoe. They look great, but the fit is a little off. If you are ordering them, make sure you order a half size up and expect the shoe to be narrow. This is not uncommon for Asics, but these are exceptionally narrow. So, if that bothers you, steer clear. Otherwise, great shoe!

Too small and narrow -
I have a ton of size 10 shoes and this shoe felt like a 9 and was also very narrow in the ball of the shoe. The sole was very narrow as well. I would suggest getting them 1/2 size larger than you normally wear and not at all if you like wide shoes.

Asics Cypress -
Good feeling and good looking shoe. It just feels a bit wider than I thought it would but other than that its a perfect shoe.

Excellent look and overall comfort!
The ASICS Cypress are one of the best pairs of shoes I own! The overall comfort and look rank amongst the highest in all of the categories. I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a comfortable, running shoe, or any-day-of-the-week shoe. The ASICS Cypress has it all: Style, comfort, and that image which pops out at you and says, "Check me out!"

Fantastic pair of shoes -
I find these shoes very comfortable even though they are a half size smaller than marked and narrower than I had expected. Fortunately through Zappos this was not an issue and I just returned the pair for a large size. I use these shoes for casual wear and they look great with jeans. I did not intend to use them for running and I doubt that they would be very comfortable because this is not a full blown rubber sole. Also the heel is narrow so you wouldn't get much stability.

Good Stuff -
First off, these are really comfortable and great to run in. Only problem so far is there is really no traction to them, especially on wet surfaces and on treadmills. Good shoe though overall.

For show more than go -
I like the look, the subtle swirl pattern on the green fabric is a little more obvious in person. However, it is a better shoe for a low-volume foot. I found it very tight across the ball of my foot (which isn't unusually wide). The fabric is light and stretchy enough that they seemed to get better with a little wearing, but when I wore them walking around NYC for a day, I ended up with blisters. Still good for everyday casual use.

Comfortable and Lightweight shoes -
I bought these in the gray and blue color scheme. The light gray areas have started getting a little dirty right away, but overall they look nice.
The fit is a little narrower than other Asics shoes I have in the same size, but not a huge deal I think it's just the style of the shoe.
These shoes are REALLY light which is great. They could use a little more cushioning, but overall they are super comfy.

Great service! Great shoes!
Zappos is the only place I could find online that had these specific shoes. The Cypresses are so light and comfortable, I absolutely love them. I think might even get a second pair for when the other wears out.
I ordered these on a Friday night and got them Monday.

Another ASICS winner -
The Cypress is a pretty great little shoe. It's rugged enough for serious walking and light hiking, but stylish enough to wear casually. It fits snugly, and the padded tongue and ribs around the ankles add lateral support. Although it can feel a little tight, its basic design actually makes a great slip-on-and-off shoe. Tie it once (though not too tight), and don't worry about it!

Good for one thing -
Great shoe for race walkers, fitness walkers and cross country runners. This is NOT a trail shoe as the ASICS literature suggests. I bought this shoe to replace my beloved and discontinued ASICS 15-50 spikeless XC shoes but no shoe will ever be that perfect. I use the Cypress for my mile and a half flat sidewalk commute to the office, and it is very good. A low heel and flexible sole are essential for achieving a natural and efficient walking gait, and as I suspected from looking at the Cypress online it performs exactly this way. I was pleasantly surprised at how much cushion the gel provides in such a low heel. DO NOT use this shoe for puttering around the house, running errands, trail walking, extended running on pavement, or any activity that requires lateral movement like lacrosse. This shoe is designed to move in one direction only, forward and straight, any side to side movement feels very unstable and uncomfortable. The Cypress is a perfect spikeless racing flat for cross country runners on a budget, and they are so light. The gel in the heel can provide more than enough cushioning for a three mile race on hard dirt, gravel, pavement mix. The sizing like many shoes in this category runs small, meaning that if you wear a size ten casual shoe, you may need to buy an eleven and a half. Race walkers, fitness walkers and old folks who are daring enough to try a non Rockport product for their daily cruises around the neighborhood should seriously consider buying this shoe. The Cypress has no arch to speak of, but it accommodates my orthotics and I imagine store bought arch supports would fit without any trouble. The Cypress is a very fast light shoe, maybe one day I will love it as much as my old 15-50's.

Great shoes!
I was referred to Zappos from a co-worker, and I am very impressed! These are the first shoes I bought and they are great. I run 10-15 miles a week and these are super light and comfortable. They look better in person, and fit fantastic! Would definitely recommend.

Wow -
Its amazing how in these shoes I can notice an obvious difference. My speed has increased and my trail running has improved, but the cushion in my right shoe kept sliding back in my shoe while I was running. A little tape fixed that problem.

Serves its purpose -
I'm really picky when it comes to shoes, especially running shoes. When I saw these, I grabbed them right up because I usually like Asics and I thought they looked nice.
The shoes are definitely comfortable, but don't have as much support as my other running shoes and have left me with a blister or two.
They serve their purpose, but there is definitely better out there.

Great walking shoe!
I bought these not for trail running but for walking and hiking. They're great... with the one caveat that I got a blister while breaking them in. Love these shoes!

 | | I live in Houston, TX. We recently had a hurricane come through and, between having no power, no phone, no cellular service, no gas and no refrigerated food, life was getting a little dreary. I decided to get another pair on Dansko clogs as a little retail therapy, once you sent me the reminder that my first pair was a year old. And just like always, the order arrived right away. It's good to know there are a few things in life I can count on! | | ~ Cynthia S., September 21 2008
