Most comfortable shoe -
I had bought a black pair a couple of years ago and decided to order a brown pair before they were no longer available. I have had many positive comments regarding these shoes...asking where I had purchased them. They truly are the most comfortable shoes in my closet.

Comfortable/good looking waling shoes -
These shoes are very comfortable and actually look nice too. I ordered the black suede ones and really like how those look. I wore the shoes for a week and one of the straps came unsown...for shoes this expensive this probably shouldn't have happened. Zappos replaced them and I checked to make sure the straps were securely sewn into the shoe. Hopefully these won't fall apart. I got the black leather this time, but I like the black suede much better

Cute but not comfortable -
These shoes are so adorable, but sadly they provide little if any arch (or any) support. They feel like you are walking barefoot, which may work for short uses but not for hours and hours of walking on pavement. Another problem: the velcro strap has only one position -- you can't really loosen it because then it doesn't lay flat -- the strap is designed so it only works when it's in the fully tightened position.

These are extremely comfortable. I have pain in my big toe joints and this shoe is adjustable enough to allow more room across the toe area. That is hard to find in shoes today!

Cute red shoe -
I have a teeny skinny foot that's hard to fit and I mostly wear lace-up shoes for good support. For years I've been wanting a cute red shoe that I can do a little walking in. There have been many returns in my efforts to balance cuteness and support. At last, Scala is here! Zappos had it in my two possible sizes (5. and 5.5), I had time to test them on carpeting, and now I have the shoes I've been wanting for years. I haven't had occasion yet to wear them outside, but I'm looking forward to that.

Instep Strap for Arcopedico -
This shoe almost fits perfectly my needs. My only reservation is the velcro strap because it can catch on nylon pant socks. Velcro also tends to loose its hooking ability after a time and has to be replaced. I prefer a buckled strap. Otherwise the shoe is excellent.

Excellent Style -
This shoe looks better in person than online. The strap allows you to be flexible in how you wear it: tight for stockings, loose for socks. My only slight complaint is that one shoe rubs slightly on top, but I believe the leather will stretch to accommodate my foot.

This is a very comfortable shoe. I have a narrow foot, but the strap makes is work well for me. I already had a black pair and ordered red this time. It is a pretty red that I have been able to wear with many things.

Very comfortable shoe though it looks kind of unremarkable on the foot. The arch support seems a bit off (though I have very high arches and have experienced this with other shoes), but overall very comfy for work and play.

Love this shoe!
This is my second pair of this style. It's a wonderful all-purpose shoe that have found for travel and around town. No breaking in necessary. Extremely comfortable, fits like a glove, great support, and a neat appearance.

As usual, these Arcopedico Scala shoes (my third pair so far) are among the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. So far Arcopedico hasn't outsourced their product to China and compromised on quality. They're not cheap, but they're worth every penny in comfort.

I really like the look of this shoe and it was very comfortable, but I did not stand or walk in it for a long time. I usually have a problem with shoes slipping on my heels; the instep strap helped with that. The only negative and it is personal taste: I prefer a buckle rather than velcro for fastenings. I am probably going to get this shoe in the black.

The greatest shoe EVER.
This shoe is the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. I have five pairs in different colors. They support my arch well and I can walk all day in them and have no rubbing anywhere. I am looking forward to more colors for my next pairs. Zappos have my business, I ordered my shoes and I had them the next day and they paid the shipping. Good work, folks.

Love this shoe -
I haven't had a shoe this comfortable since I gave up my earth shoes back in 1979 (ex-hubby didn't like the look of them.) I took them out of the box and wore them 5 days straight, with both skirts & tights, and slacks & socks. The velcro on the strap allowed me to adjust the strap to the perfect fit. The leather at the edge of the opening did not cut in to my skin when walking. The leather is very flexible and comfortable, not stiff at all. The finish on the leather is very durable, too. I don't think I'll have to worry much about scuffs. The sole is cushy, and the style is quirky. I'll be wearing these shoes an awful lot.

New and Vastly Improved Scala by Arcopedico!
I just received my Scala by Arcopedico in Ostrich and much to my surprise they have added additional arch support. In addition to the ample toebox and light weight, these shoes are the most comfortable shoes I own. I also ordered this shoe in black suede for a dressier look.
I have the older version of this shoe in navy, black. burgundy, white, powder blue and brown. This is how I know how much Arcopedico has done to improve the arch support. When you are going for comfort and ease of packing if you travel, or just everyday comfort and classic Mary Jane styling, these are the shoes to buy!

Cute, well made shoe but not as comfortable as they look (or I'd prefer). I won't be spending the whole day walking anywhere in these. Part of the issue is no arch support. The other is the European sizing. I'm usually a 36 (5.5 to but a 37 (6.5) would be too big. Also the velcro strap needs some wearing in. So far it keeps returning to where it was creased when it was new, which is too tight.

I bought this shoe in black leather from Zappos and felt wonderful the first time I wore them. Love everything about these shoes but comfort most of all.

A winner!
A very comfortable, yet supportive shoe. I have a flat instep and most shoes don't fit properly. This shoe has an adjustable strap, which makes all the difference. Looks good with skirts, crop pants, and jeans.

I like the look of these, they are cut lower on the instep but that doesn't suit my feet. My feet are an in-between size and sometimes 6-1/2 fits, sometimes a 7. These size 38 was too long, but the width was not comfortable. I prefer the SoftWalk Lafon. Orthotics fit these shoes.

This is the second pair of Arcopedico shoes I have owned. For style and comfort, they cannot be beat. I wore my last pair completely out and expect to do the same with these.
