I am working for the Peace Corps and have to cover some rugged turf as I visit Volunteers. These shoes have held up really well and always look nice when I get to my meeting or final destination. I am going to order a second pair!

Pretty comfy, pretty cute -
I got this shoe as a comfy summer sneaker and I think it's pretty perfect for that. The heels are a bit stiff rub a little, I think they'll require a little breaking in before I can wear them without socks. Otherwise, they're light and comfy and breathable, hopefully will be great spring/summer walking shoes.

Perfect for me, Keens are too wide -
I am so happy to have found this brand. My feet are too narrow to wear Keens (is it just me or are Keens ridiculously wide?), but these are so cute and fit great, though I did have to go up a half size. No problem with heel for me, they just fit like they were custom made for my feet. So if Keens seem too wide for you, try the Ahnus. Great shoe.

Cute Comfy Shoe -
I wear this shoe with short socks, so I haven't had any problems with the beel problem that a lot of others have noted. It is about 1/2 size smaller than normal and super comfortable, especially if you have wide feet like I do. It is light and feels like you're walking with tennis shoes... well cushioned and good support.

This is pretty comfortable, but one shoe did have a very stiff heel that I am still breaking in by wearing these with socks.

Cute and comfortable -
I really like these shoes. They fit great and look cute. I am a big fan of Keen's but these just seem a little more feminine. I don't have the heel-rubbing problem and I think the strap is so handy. Very comfortable and breathable. I ordered these on Friday evening and they were delivered on Monday. Free Shipping! Gotta love it.

Ouch... terrible fit.
I love the way this shoe looks and really wanted it to work, but it was way too uncomfortable. I also ordered the Keen Amsterdams, which are almost identical in looks and the comfort and fit didn't compare. It was a no brainer to buy the Keens. Also, I ordered this shoe a 1/2 size larger due to the comments, but that was way too big for me. I would say it would be more true to fit except for the width.

Bloody Heels -
They are cute. My heels bled and blistered on the initial wearing. Ouch. They do not look so cute with a large bandage on my Achilles tendon.

Good, but a bit stubby looking shoe. Needed a half size larger in length (which I got), but the width is about a half size too wide making the shoe hard to wear without socks. The fastening is not easy to adjust.

Bad fit, not comfortable -
I love the way this shoe looks and really wanted it to work, but it was way too uncomfortable. Versatile shoes -
I'm not totally in love with this shoe because of the heel rubbing problem, but it does have very deep insoles that come out, so I replaced them with two layers to give me a cushy, custom feel. Once I got enough padding under my heels and pushed down on the backs of the shoes a bit, the heel rubbing is manageable. I wear them with thick socks for another layer of cushioning, so they don't feel quite as breathable as I thought they would be despite being made of mesh. The red color is more of a purple-red than an orange-red, so it can be hard to coordinate with other clothes.

I'm a fan of the athletic inspired shoe and these are very comfy. Lot of good solid bounce & spring when I put these on. And I like that I can vary how snugly I want the strap to be...no velcro to suddenly pop off. Fun colors too. Yes, go a 1/2 size smaller than your normal shoe size.

Cute weekend shoe -
These shoes are designed by the same guys who were on the Keen team. They do run about a half size small, but they are very comfortable for walking around town and chasing after kids and cats. Neither Keens nor Crocs interest me much. They look great on children, but I think a bit silly for an adult. Ahnu is just right for the urban stroll.

Blister, red feet and pain!
Really not a good shoe... don't bother. I thought these would be like the Seattle by Keen because they are, I thought, the same folks. Alas, they are not and their product is not Keen, at all. I got blisters, and I really try to make them work, really. I got red feet, cause the dye came off on me and the fit was really poor. Back to my Keens as I throw these away!

Bitter disappointment -
Beautiful shoes, extremely comfortable but the size is mismarked. I wear a size 10.5 normally, but the Nordens I bought are size 11. Thought I would be safe ordering these in size 11. They are about a half size too short and this is the largest size they make in women's. Aaagh.

according to the reviews, tried it in 1/2 size larger than usual & also ordered in usual size. Neither fit! Usual size is too tight; 1/2 size larger is too big. Don't like how high the back is, rubs the back of my heal. Arch didn't fit my arch on either size.

Most comfortable shoe ever!!!
Bought this shoe for a trip to Dubai. I have no arches and a bunion. I have so much trouble finding comfortable shoes. These were an exception and easy to take on and off at the airport. Love, Love, Love this shoe. I am ordering them in another color. Feet felt great the whole trip. They do run a little small. I wear an 8 or 8 1/2 and the 8 1/2 fit just perfect.

Great color and comfy out of the box -
I followed others' advice and ordered half size up and they are perfect. i have flat wide feet and it is difficult to find comfy shoes that fit. The wine color is a deep rich color that looks nice with pants. the pics on the web really don't do this shoe justice. of course excellent customer service from Zappos as usual.

Dyed my heel red!
At first the red dye on the inside of the shoe would rub off on my heel, and they gave me blisters at first. But they are now a very comfy, sporty shoe.

Good looking shoe but it gave me blisters -
The heel of this shoe is very hard and gave me terrible blisters on both feet. I suggest breaking these in before using them to walk any long distances.

The Ahnu Benecia (in red), which I ordered, is very comfortable. I did order a 9 versus an 8 ½ after reading other reviews and the 9 fits perfectly. I've had tons of compliments about the shoe's appearance. It's very eye-catching in red. I recommend it for anyone looking for a comfy, stylish, casual shoe (although as a social worker I wear it to work.)

I thought they were comfortable shoes, but too narrow for an orthotic. I wore them to work and they were quite comfy. I work at a coffee and on my feet for 8 hours and my feet were fine at the end of my shift. I am now told we are not allowed to wear mary janes to work so I need to find another comfortable pair of shoes.

These are the most comfortable shoes I own. I keep wearing them, even though it is a bit too cold out for open topped shoes. I would recommend these to anyone!

Casual and comfortable, but buy a half size bigger that usual -
I took the advice of the other reviewers and bought a half size larger than usual. I also used an insole on the heel and it was very comfortable. I have these shoes in two colors. Highly recommended.

The Best Shoe Ever -
OMG! These fit like a dream. Where have these been all my life?? I want more. The slip latch on the strap makes them super fast on and off and they are generally just great. I will wear these as much as possible. They are perfect for everyday wear.
