I ordered these shoes in a 9 M in the brown but sent them back for the 9 W. My feet are on the wide side but I can usually get by with a medium. The 9 W still fits a bit snug (my 20 year old son had to literally put them on me and help me pull them up the first time - quite hysterical) but I plan to take the shoes to my shoe repair person and have some extra elastic added to the back. I think this should solve the problem. I love the look of this shoe because it looks somewhat Grecian without having a high ankle strap. I also do not like high ankle straps because they can make a person look short and dumpy and I find them very difficult if not impossible to fasten by myself. I agree with the reviewer who loves the leather footbed - I searched high and low for a leather footbed because I too dislike a suede footbed that turns dark after several wearings. I also dislike a fabric lining because they make my feet sweat and I hate that hideous polyester they usually use. Walking in these shoes is heaven because the rubber sole is lightweight and very flexible. I ordered a second pair in black and am waiting for them to arrive. We're off to Hawaii in two weeks and I will be taking both pair with me!

Great, lightweight sandal - I am short and heavy and I bought these sandals for a month of walking in a foreign city. These shoes are surprising lightweight. My feet never hurt after walking all day, even though I am heavy. The leather is great, supple, and very comfortable. The only problem is the second inside strap (the middle one) shifts around and doesn't stay in place as I walk around.

I bought them last year, wore them all summer, and bought another pair this year - different color. I still wear last year's. They are very comfortable and better for walking than you would expect from a sandal.

Classic and comfy -
These sandals are so comfy for me that I had to get both the black and the brown pairs! I have flat, narrow feet, so I had to add one of those new footpads. Otherwise, the fit is great at first wearing...well, maybe I had a problem on one of the top straps in the left foot, but it's gone now. I would rather wear these classics than the gladiator sandals that will fall out of style soon enough. The strap design is executed very gracefully...I've seen other brands do this version, but I liked Timberlands' the best. The leather is more "substantial" or a little more firm than the typical buttery leather convention, but I like it that way--it doesn't feel like it's binding my foot. They're my new favorite sandals that I can dress up or down. I wouldn't have found it if Zappos didn't have it...Zappos has spoiled me!

Nice looking sandals -
These are nice looking, but the straps cut into the top of my foot after a while. Figure they'll stretch out, but not comfortable right away.

If you are looking for a comfy pair of walking sandals, this is one to consider. I have been picky with shoes, and this has proved to be a worthwhile investment. I wear this practically everyday and it has not let me down.

Love these shoes!
I have had the brown ones for a while now and I just got the black ones today. I love these shoes. They are comfortable immediately and they even have arch support. Zappos has the fastest delivery I have ever seen anywhere!! I have been ordering from Zappos for a couple of years and their service is always excellent!

Back Strap Doesn't Open -
I like these shoes, but they are hard to get on because the back strap doesn't open - there is no buckle. I missed that when looking at the picture. I have to stretch the back to get it over my heel. That works, but I am concerned that the strap will eventually stretch out. I would like these shoes better if they were easier to put on.

Cute, but too narrow...
I love the shoes, my second pair ordered from Zappos.com that are too narrow. If you have wide feet, don't take a chance. They may not fit. I'm very disappointed.

Trusty Sandal -
I love this sandal! I need a comfortable sandal to wear to work in the summer and this is absolutely perfect for what I need. I love the leather foot bed. I hate sandals with light colored suede foot beds that get dirty no matter how clean your feet are and no matter how much you clean them the never look clean. A dark colored leather foot bed is rare, but I have found it with this shoe. Fits me like a glove. Normally, I wear a 7 1/2 in a sandal, but I listened to the other reviewers and ordered a half size up and they are perfect. Cradle my foot perfectly, I could run in these if I had to. And the look seems slightly Grecian. I am considering getting the black, but I think these will last a long time.

These sandals have been a pleasant surprise- very comfortable and relatively cool even in a 100-degree heat wave. I wore them on a vacation that included hours of walking and was amazed by how well they worked. If I could, I'd tweak the look just a little bit- but they still get 5 stars overall. They can be dressed up or down and go well with a variety of outfits. And they fit my wide-ish size 10 feet just fine. Since I started wearing these sandals, all my others seem uncomfortable by comparison!

I would order these in every color, if I could justify the expense (unfortunately I already have other comfy sandals in other colors). They are really cute and really comfortable.

I purchased this sandal because it is one of the few affordable sandals out this season with a dark footbed to hide dirt and stains. I wanted to wear the sandal to the office and around town and it fits the bill. The "wide" width is a joke, so order up.

Cute but short!
I ordered my size which is a true 7 wide. The width fit perfectly, but they were a tad too short. The foot bed looked fine, but they actually pull in the back at my heel where the strap is. I wish I had sent them back for a 1/2 size bigger but it's too late now, so I'll deal with it. Hopefully they'll stretch a bit.

Great sandals -
The only reason I put 4 stars for overall is because for some reason, after I walk or stand in them awhile, my feet get really really hot! (And I am someone whose feet are usually very cold.) But they are comfortable, supportive, and nice-looking.

I am very picky about shoes and will not wear anything that’s not comfortable. I bought these shoes after reading the reviews and based on the reputation of timberlands. I got blisters on my feet after wearing them for a day so had to send them back. They are very attractive shoes, but not comfortable with my feet.

Very cool sandal!
This is such a nice looking sandal; I get a lot of compliments. It doesn’t have quite the arch support I hoped for though and it's a little hard to get on because the strap doesn't buckle and the little stretch on the strap doesn't give much. I have a problem with overpronating and that's why I need a good arch but for most people this would be a very comfortable sandal.

Great Sandal!
I needed a low and comfortable sandal for walking, shopping, etc., and this one is perfect. Not only is it comfy, but cuter than in the picture. I'm glad I didn't order a half size larger as some reviewers suggested--my regular 6 1/2 fit perfect. This is my first Timberland shoe, and I will continue to look at this brand.

These are very comfortable and look very cute on. The straps on top dug a little but they have some room for adjustment and I was able to get them to fit perfect.

Excellent sandal for walking!
I bought these sandals for a two week vacation in the summer that includes a lot of walking. These are so cute and fashionable, as well as comfy for walking! They look great with jeans or casual skirts. I would recommend buying a half size larger. I'm usually a 7 1/2, and the 8 size fits perfect.

Better than expected -
Bought these and took them to Las Vegas. After walking for miles, staying on my feet for the entire Jimmy Buffett concert, then casino hopping my feet were the only part of me that wasn't weary! I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort and for this price, you can't go wrong.
