Hey these shoes are GREAT! This is my 5th pair of Berkleys. I've got back issues and these shoes are comfortable for the long haul. To top it off I have never had so many compliments on the look of these shoes-believe it or not! They are tough and look good even after drying out from the surf catching me =)

Best Boat Style Shoe Ever!
Worn many boat style shoes, forget the "Boat" part, these are just great casual shoes. Literally feels like you’re wearing slippers and walking on a pillow. Best quality "real" leather I've seen in any casual shoe. Soft yet thick. You may pay a bit more for these but there is no comparison to any other boat/casual shoe. Few extra bucks very well spent. Highly recommended.

Nice shoe. Much better support than typical boat shoe. Did need some break in with socks on before it was possible to wear without.

My husband needed shoes and wanted this shoe but kept putting off going shopping. I told him about Zappos. He quietly went on the computer and ordered. This was Saturday. They arrived Monday. He put them on and I never heard about it again.

Bought these for my husband who has hard-to-fit feet that get sore often. He said they were super comfortable from the minute he put them on. They are also nice looking - I bought him the dark brown.

My husband says these are the most comfortable shoes he's ever owned and he will never go back to "standard" dock shoes, which he wears every day. As for Zappos service and professionalism, they are top notch. I love the free return and free shipping option...quality all around.

Rockport's Schooner is the most comfortable of Rockport's boat shoes. It feels broken in right out of the box. Excellent fit with or without socks.

Rockport is the only brand that seems to fit me most of the time. Other brands seem to feel narrower than they claim to be.

I’ve searched for comfortable shoes for a while now. I have to say that these are extremely comfortable when it comes to support. They fit my narrow foot but leaves a bit of space. The only drawback is that when worn barefoot it causes minor blisters on the small toe and makes my feet perspire way too much - to the point that I would almost slip on my tile floors after removal of the shoe. All said this can be worn in winters barefooted because they will keep somewhat dry.

Best Ever by Far !
I've worn boat style shoes from about every big brand. Rockport Schooner beats them all by a landslide. No break in needed at all. More substantial sole than all others. Literally like walking on soft yet stable sponges. Never felt something so comfortable. Leather is soft yet thick, top quality. Try these, you won't be sorry. Rockport, do not change or discontinue this shoe. It will be a timeless classic if you give it time to!

Like the shoes, but they just do not have the detailing and "look" of shoes in this price range. Rockport seems to be sitting on their name while Sperry and Clarks make a nicer product for less money. Zappos service perfect as always. You cannot buy shoes from a better company.

Going back a few years I asked an Orthopedic surgeon friend why my feet hurt so badly & he told me my shoes were to narrow,he told me to buy Rockports.I wore Rockports for a few years, forgot about my pain.Then my pain returned and went away when I returned to using the old shoes.

I have a very narrow, long, and slender foot (12.5A). I had to use a liner in this shoe for it to fit properly. Since no casual shoe comes in a very narrow width in size 12.5, I purchased a 13 narrow (B) shoe. With the liner, the shoe fits perfectly. I knew I would have to use a liner when I bought the shoe.

A Really Nice Casual Shoe, but...
I purchased this shoe as a second choice...my first being a similar shoe made by Clarks that is not being made any longer. I was pleasantly surprised with the comfort and general good looks as the last pair of Rockports I had were not very comfortable at all.
The shoe appears well made and is light in weight compared to the Clarks. The fit is good with a nice wide toe box.

Simple and nice - but was expecting more.
Ordered these shoes as a replacement for an existing pair of Rockports. The existing one was a cross between a boat shoe and hiking shoe and was waterproof. Couldn't find the exact replacement model so ordered these. Nothing terribly wrong with them but they just feel cheaper. Actually, they have been very comfortable since Day 1 and look nice. However, I would have been happier paying less rather than the price that they cost.

I liked the shoe a lot, but I thought it would be a slip on. It wasn't. As I don't wear shoes inside, a slip-on is a pretty big convenience. But, if this isn't an issue for you, I suspect it will work well for you.

After 8 months & 12 wearings these shoes still turn my white socks brown.
What can I do? They are ruining my socks.
