Are these painted?
The color of these are accomplished by painting on something called "Nappa Leather". There were a pair of wear marks on the backs of the pair that I ordered. My dismay was not only the fact that the shoes were defective, but the fact that these shoes were not tanned but painted to accomplish it's color. The shape is nice and comfort good. But for the price, these shoes should be leather from with at least a inexpensive tannery. Besides the styling, I would compare it's construction to that of a cheaper retail store. I wouldn't pay as much as I did.

Very cheap material -
I bought two of them, brown & black. Both have the same problems. After wearing the black one for about 70 times while taking very good care of it, the "shiny" layer started to get off which I thought was the leather itself, but apparently they dyed the cheap leather with a polish to make it look better. Then after that the leather sole had a big hole in the front. Not worthy the price at all.

Pleasantly surprised -
I bought this shoe (brown) for my husband. Boy was I surprised when I saw it. It's quite a stunner; it looks much more expensive than priced and quite sexy for a man's shoe. I would highly recommend it. It can go from work to a formal without a problem.

SQUEAK!
This shoe began squeaking the second time worn to work. Very-very disappointed in such an expensive shoe! I do not recommend this brand since this is the second pair returned. Such a shame it's a beautiful shoe on.

Great Shoe!
I recommend this shoe whether you want to wear it with a suit or with jeans. Real sturdy shoe. It can get wet and keep its shape.

Good looking modern wingtip at reasonable price -
These are a pair of what I call "10 foot" shoes; from 10 feet away they look fantastic. Up close, though, the detail, stitching and leather are less than perfect. Overall, however, they are great. They do not resemble their higher priced brothers. I would call these somewhere between office dress and office casual.

Holy Sexy Shoe Batman!
This is one of the most comfortable out of the box shoes I have bought in a very long time. That would be enough if it wasn't also sleek and stylish. The brown hue is perfect and the details make this look like a $500 shoe. BUY IT!

My feet are bleeding -
My initial impression of these shoes was quite positive when I first tried them on. They look quite good and seemed to be reasonably comfortable. That feeling ended in pain as I limped home at the end of a two hour trip, of which I did but a little walking. My left foot has a huge patch of skin rubbed away, which is only slightly healed as of five days later. I will never wear these again. Good luck with establishing your brand, Zappos. This one is a dud.

Almost wow -
The Fitzwell Dylan is very comfortable and good looking shoe at an exceptional value. The only draw back is that it creases slightly across the top. This has not stopped me from wearing them nor has it stopped the compliments every time I wear them.

Great Shoe -
I could not believe the comfort of these shoes right out the box. The styling is great. These are a great twist of the classic wing tip. They look fantastic with a suit or even business casual attire. The closest you will come to wearing tennis shoes in a dress shoe!
