These look and feel great, although I need a size larger than I ordered. I am not sure they are the right shoe for me since my ankle was loose in back. I have never had that trouble before.

What a shoe!!!
These arrived the day before I was leaving for a hiking trip on Mohegan Island, rough terrain! I brought them, also brought my old shoes, just in case. The targhees needed NO breaking ion, no blisters after hours of walking! I love them! And being keens, they are adorable!

I love my Keens. I had to order a pair for my husband and my daughter and even my two yr. old son. Everyone loves their Keens!!! They are comfortable and durable, and I love the traction on them.

Super comfy, heel slips -
Maybe its how my foot is built, but I can't keep these shoes from slipping in the heel. And as any avid walker/hiker knows, that's a pretty important place. Otherwise, they're AWESOME!!! Super comfy, excellent arch support, nice roomy toe area, quality construction... I could go on and on. My feet are a little wider than normal and these shoes felt wonderful.

Not as happy as I had hoped -
Though these are also well made shoes, they are not as comfortable as the Wasatch Crest model which I had before. Still breaking them in in the hopes that they will do some more molding to my foot and provide the support I expected. Though all the Keens of the same size seem to fit me uniformly, these seem to be just slightly larger than the other types of Keens I have already (3 other prs).

These shoes feel great. I prefer a "boot" feel to my athletic foot wear so these are perfect. I suffer with many foot issues but these were comfortable from the start. The only issue I have is that they seem a 1/4 - 1/2 size shorter than my usual size "bozo" 11's! They are so comfortable I opted to keep them and use lighter socks.

Not for rocky terrain -
I purchased this shoe to walk the trails of the Columbia River Gorge. I tried the shoe extensively and found that it was too narrow for my wide foot and caused numerous blisters. I had to wrap my toes every time prior to hiking. I also noticed that I could feel the rocks through the sole of the shoe. It’s an ok shoe but not one for trail hiking that has any rocks. I love Keens and have about eight or nine pairs but this one was definitely not up to the kind of hiking that I do on a regular basis.

Never owned a Kenneth Cole shoe that wasn't fabulous! I am wearing these shoes for the first time today and they are incredibly comfortable. The leather is more than buttery soft, no elastic whatsoever in the straps so all that touches your skin is that wonderful soft leather. The heel could be a little higher for my taste but they are awesome. Will purchase in the other colors, just wish there were more choices. They do make a funny sound when you walk though, kind of like stepping in snow, but who cares, they don't "flip" when you walk so the noise really isn't that annoying. Buy them while you can!

Good For The Rainforest -
About a week before my Pacific Coast hiking trip, I discovered my old reliable hiking shoes were no longer waterproof. I figured I'd have no time to break these in before the trip, but I was desperate. I am happy to report that they were comfortable from the start and held up in the mud and the rainforest. Loved your (unexpected) overnight delivery! How do you do it?

I can't tell too much about the comfort of these shoes because they are too small even though I ordered a 1/2 size larger than I usually wear. They do seem to have good arch support.

Love my Keens - I judge the worth of any new shoe by the way it feels from the moment I put it on. There should be no breaking-in period of blisters, scabs and band-aids before the shoe is fit to wear on a regular basis. My life is too busy and I don't have that kind of patience!

Great shoe!
We just got back from Alaska and I wore this shoe on most of the trip. After removing the insole, this shoe fit my foot perfect. I wore this shoe hiking, trinket stomping, and even just walking around on the cruise ship. To me this shoe felt like a very sturdy sneaker. Very comfortable!

Comfortable, excellent support. I have plantar fasciitis, so I am very careful about the shoes I wear. I would buy this shoe again. (They easily take my orthotics.)

The Humvee of hiking and running shoes!
I don't understand the fuss about these shoes running smaller in size. They are actually true to size. The slippage some folks mention here is easily fixed by getting a size smaller. It happened to me; I'm originally 7, ordered 7.5 and had to return them. Great shoe!!!

Very comfortable, but only a 3 hour shoe -
I love Keens, I love the comfort they provide and I am planning to walk all over Europe with them on, but these particular ones will begin to add pressure to the top of my foot after long periods so I have to loosen them a bit. They do run small as others have said- buy a half size larger than your normal shoe size. Other than that, they are made with super quality and will continue to recommend them in a heartbeat.

Perfect hiking and street shoe -
After trying many many hiking shoes, (thanks to excellent customer service, return policies of Zappos) this shoe fits! It is a mid weight hiking boot with excellent traction for rocky areas. Great toe wiggle room! I went up 1/2 size.

I returned 2 other brands of hiking shoes before ordering these. I'm definitely keeping these. The cushioning is great. I bought insoles to replace the ones they come with, but found that the ones they come with are better. The pads on my feet are usually very sore after a long hike, but not with these shoes. The tongue is a little weird, but great once you get used to it.

SUPERB HIKER -
Bought these shoes yesterday, arrived today just as I was getting ready to go for a short hike in the redwoods with my dog. The shoes fit perfectly and gripped well on a hefty, inclined, dusty slope. No breaking in was needed. Fantastic shoes and fantastic online business. They got it right with free, one day shipping. Now if Zappos would carry household goods too.

I purchased this shoe for a first time camping/hiking trip. They were great! I walked for hours with no leg or foot tiredness at all. They are very light weight. I'm glad I spent the extra money for the best. Others in my group weren't so lucky...

My feet were the only things that stayed dry!
I like to go on adventure hikes and recently went on an outing with a group on wet ground and intermittent rains. My feet stayed dry! They take a little getting used to in wearing but well worth the effort! Nice room in the toes which is important to me.

Zappos awesome -
I know Keens and love Keens. Orthodics (the new foot surgery alternative) fit in them better then any other shoe. They also have a wide heel as well so the orthodics don’t get all cupped.
