Great looking, durable shoe - I had a similar pair of Eccos a couple of years ago that I wore almost every business day--for two years...many tradeshows, etc. They held up great! Time for a new pair, but I had to return to Ecco because they were great the first time around. Highly recommended.

Ecco Rocks!
I am a recent Ecco convert. I love their shoes. They are slip on/out of the box comfortable. No break-in, good fit, good look, and they feel like gloves on my feet. Very nice. I do, however, think they could upgrade their styles a bit more. These are good ole standby designs, but a bit more stylish would draw in more customers.

Very nice shoe. I wear size men's 6.5D and this shoe is slightly larger overall. I am keeping the shoe as it is very difficult to find my shoe size.

These reviews are valuable... I was able to order the correct size based on the other reviews. Right out of the box they are extremely comfortable. They can be worn with dress and casual clothes as well.

I just got these shoes yesterday and wore them to the office today. Got compliments from numerous co-workers on how sharp the shoes looked. But everyone else is right about the size of this shoe. It's one size bigger than other Eccos. I have 7 other pairs of Ecco shoes and I'm a 45 in every pair, including two other dress shoes very similar to this one. However the 45 in this style was way too big for me. The 44 fits perfectly. This shoe looks great, it's super light and flexible, and the leather is very high quality. I'm using this shoe to replace my Allen Edmonds which are too heavy, stiff and hot.

What happened?
I am a loyal Ecco buyer however my initial order of 9 1/2 felt like 10 1/2 so I returned them and ordered a full size smaller. The length is ok but the fit is tight and almost unbearable to wear (my width is normal). Still will buy from Ecco but very dissatisfied with this purchase.

Nice but BIG -
I have always worn a size 9 or 9 1/2 American size shoe and my last two Ecco's were size 42. Ecco for some reason has changed their sizing. The new 42 Austin Apron Toe Tie was miles too big and the reordered 41 fit just right. Curiously, the shoe inserts of my old 42 and my new 41 are exactly the same size. I don't know if this applies to ALL Ecco shoes but certainly to this pair. They are comfortable but I would rather have the round toe of yesteryear rather than the Apron Toe which looks a little old fashioned.

I've worn Eccos for over 10 years and really love them. They are worth the money. This particular shoe though, the shoe size is about one size larger than said. I reordered without any problems and love them.

Runs large!
I like these shoes, but they definitely run big. I have a small foot and have a very hard time finding shoes. I own a lot of size 7s (Skechers, Kenneth Cole, Eddie Bauer) that require me to wear two pairs of socks. I ordered these ECCO’s in a 6/6.5 and they are larger then the size 7s I have.

Classy and comfortable -
I can wear these shoes with my best suit or business casual and they look great either way. They are a great fit and comfortable too. What more can you ask for? Great service? Yes! Even if there is a problem Zappos doesn't ignore you or run and hide. They address the problem and fix it. By the way, problems are few and far between. Their kind of service is almost unheard of in today’s fast paced make an easy buck world. Thanks Zappos!!

Definitely buy this pair of shoes!
I'm extremely pleased with this pair of ECCO's, I have a pretty wide foot, but that isn't the biggest issue, my biggest issue is my high arc! Well, after trying these shoes on, they definitely satisfied both issues! I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for not only a very good looking shoe, but one that does well under constant walking. I walk about one mile a day and I feared that I would be getting a blister or two since they are new, not the case at all, fit like a glove and after three weeks, and no blisters! Thank you ECCO! And a special thanks to Zappos.com, I ordered these shoes on a Thursday and on the following Saturday, there they were at my doorstep! Great service!!

Perfect all purpose shoe -
This has been the perfect all-around shoe for me. It fit perfect (as it is the only 13.5 that I know of) and there was no break-in period. The only issue that I have is the rubber squeaks pretty badly on tile.

I love Eccos but this pair is not their best shoe -
I own six pairs of Ecco Shoes (golf, dress, boots, etc). They are great shoes. However, this shoe is not as comfortable and has less cushion. Also runs large in size.

My fiancé works in a business casual office so we got these for him to wear with slacks. He prefers the softer/rubbery soled shoes, and is very pleased with how these look as well as the comfort. He wears them practically every day. The only issue with this shoe is they run REALLY big. We first ordered what we thought would be his size (7 to 7 1/2, or 41; he wears a 7 1/2) but had to go down to the 40. So, if you are at the size and not half size, I wonder if you can get a good fit with this shoe.

Ecco's Austin Apron Toe Tie -
I was looking for a comfortable dress shoe at Zappos.com when I came across this shoe. After reading the reviews, comparing Ecco with Josef Seibel, Johnston & Murphy & Mephisto, and with Zappos great return policy I decided to buy the Ecco. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! These shoes are GREAT! I work long hours and MUST have comfortable shoes. Usually shoes that look like this have very hard soles and hurt my feet after a few hours. This Ecco is VERY easy to wear and doesn't bother my feet at all. To get a comfortable shoe you usually have to sacrifice the dress look. Somehow Ecco found a way to make this shoe extremely comfortable and still keep its conservative look. I have worn these shoes for as long as 14 hours with no discomfort at all. The shoes required no break in and look FANTASTIC! You can't go wrong with Ecco or with Zappos!

DRESSY/CASUAL, KHAKIS/SUIT, Might be the PERFECT SHOE -
Got these shoes in RUST LEATHER. Amazing color. More about the color later. The pictures online don't do it justice. I tried them on and IMMEDIATELY knew I would be keeping them. Lightweight, flexible, minimum break in (if any at all). I've heard lots of chatter about the Ecco Euro sizing, and hopefully I can give some good advice. It's definitely LARGER than marked. I've seen comments ranging from a half to a full size larger than marked, I'd say about A HALF SIZE. I am a size 12 in Nike sneakers, 11-11.5 in Timberland, US 12 in Doc Martens, and for these Ecco’s I got a size 45. They fit PERFECTLY.
GET THE RUST LEATHER. Navy Blue suit. Grey suit. Khaki suit. Brown suit. You can't go wrong. Much nicer than the everyday red-wine color you see everywhere. I will probably get these in black eventually.

I wear my Ecco's on a daily basis both for work and to formal occasions. They are the perfect fit, extremely comfortable and really versatile. I highly recommend the Ecco Austin.

 |  | To Whom It May Concern: I am extremely pleased to be able to write you this letter. Less than a week ago I accidentally mailed something valuable in my Zappos return shipping box along with the two pairs of shoes I wanted to return. I also ended up sending a valuable Louis Vuitton bag. Now, this may not seem like a big deal, but the issue was that the bag was not mine, it belonged to my sister. I do not have the means to spend that much money on a purse - but my sister does - and I knew if I didn't get it back, she was going to be very upset because they don't make this particular purse anymore. I, too, was going to be upset that I had to refund her that money because I can't afford it. As soon as I had realized what I'd done (or thought I'd done), I called UPS... they were of no help because it was just a drop off and they didn't have the tracking number. I then called Zappos customer service and was greeted very kindly when I explained what I had done. Then today, less than a week later, I received the bag that I had accidentally shipped in the mail. Not only did you not charge me for the return shipping, but the bag looks like it is in better condition now than it was before! I called immediately to say thank you and I think ended up frightening your supervisor because I started crying... I was so happy that I just started hysterically crying! (I am pregnant and sometimes my emotions are CRAZY!) Please accept my sincerest thanks for your staff's attention to this matter. I am truly thankful and if I wasn't before, will now surely be a satisfied Zappos customer! I will gladly continue to shop with you - and be sure to tell friends of my wonderful Zappos experience!!!
