Donald Pliner and Zappos ROCK!
These boots are incredible! Comfort and fashion all rolled up in to one gorgeous boot. I loved these so much I bought two other colors. You can walk for days in this heel height.

A Must Have Boot!
This is my 4th purchase of Pliner shoes since meeting Mr. Pliner last fall in Beverly Hills. He has such a passion for his trade, and it shows in the new line each year. This is my second pair of Pliner boots (Black & Tiger Stripe) and they are fantastic! They fit true to size, and showcase whatever you are wearing. If you have a hard time finding boots to fit your calf, then look no further and purchase these...you will not be disappointed! I wear mine 12-14 hours a day, and my feet never hurt at the end of the day. These boots are a must! Mr. Pliner was a treat to meet, but owning a pair of these boots takes the cake!

Great boot! I have just purchased my third pair of these boots. Very comfortable. The heel is the perfect height. Very happy with these although the "metallic bronze" is more of a green than a bronze.

HOT!!
I was a little wary of the "black suede metallic" description, but when I received it, the boots were actually a textured stretch suede with no metallic at all. They're very sleek and classy but a little difficult to pull on. I have to grab mid-shaft and yank it on with some force, but once it's on it looks GREAT. I got a lot of compliments already, by both guys and gals. The heel is low enough to wear comfortably all day, is great for traveling, (it packs so easily in its own dust bag) and is perfect with skirts.

Donald Pliner Elisa - Black Crepe Elastic -
I just purchased the Black Crepe Elastic in the Elisa boot! After seeing it on one of my friends I knew I had to have it! I was so ecstatic when Zappos had it on sale, but my size was not in stock. I signed up for notification if it became available in my size, and to my surprise it did!!! :) The boots fit perfectly! Believe the rave reviews you see here on this boot. It is sleek, sexy, elongates your legs and so comfy (I have wider feet and these fit like classic DJPs!). The only worry I had was potentially slouching near the ankle area, but with a pair of trouser socks, there was no problem at all! Would highly recommend this boot, esp. for this price, free shipping, and great customer service from Zappos!

Thin cloth top -
I have these boots. I got them some place else. Donald Pliner boots are very comfortable, but these boots are not worth any where near the price. I kept mine b/c I paid a really cheap price for them on sale. Now about the boot: The cloth is thin, so it doesn't stay up nor is it tight enough to stay up. I wear double socks with mine to help with the ankle gap and am taking them to get elastic sewn into the top so they stay up. I also wear them with pants or a longer skirt. I was very disappointed in them for any boot, let alone a Pliner boot. The do look nice. If you have heavier more solid legs, they might work for you. But really, the quality just is not there for the money.

I tried exactly one dozen pairs of boots and these were the winners. I am petite (size 4) with muscular calves (14 inches around widest part) so it's not easy finding a tall boot that fits my calf and is flattering. I always thought it was my problem; now I think it's mostly boot makers' lack of understanding since I'm certainly not the only one in this situation. Anyway, these stretch, so that helps. They feel a little tight in the calf at first, but not too bad. The foot is long and narrow, but my size fits well, and they actually feel pretty comfortable. They are very sleek and leg flattering. By the way, I have the camel color, which shoe web site describes as fabric. It doesn't say suede here, so I really wasn't sure; then I realized it actually says suede on the box. It's very rich and plush. And after seeing so many other makes of boots, the quality is really impressive.

These are NOT leather. The suede elastic is stretch fabric that has been brushed on one side to resemble suede. Just look at the inside of the boot. If you want real stretch suede, order the $500 Stuart Weitzman version. Anyway, this was snug, and it fit very comfortably, but it slid down and bagged at my ankles. I don't know how the rest of you keep these up. I'm sticking with a leather boot with a zipper.

Sagging Ankles -
This boot started off with a great concept, but it sags too much around the ankles and along the lower leg. A Stuart Weitzman stretch boot is a better investment because it is made from only genuine leather or suede. If you do order this boot go with the animal print Congo mesh elastic where there is NO sagging! But, those of you who want a basic color like I did will be out of luck.

These boots are great! I have bought other boots, but these are now the only ones to keep!! Great fit and the look is to die for. Very comfortable and that is being on my feet for over 7 hours. Do not wait to buy these boots. I am now going to buy another pair.

Best Boot Ever!
I love Donald Pliner shoes - for comfort first, then style. Never tried his boots, but took a chance on the Elisa & bought 3 colors. First the animal print. I felt sooo stylish, got several compliments the 1st time I wore them. Wore them all day with NO pain whatsoever. (I have very sensitive feet with a high arch & very narrow heel). Loved them so much I quickly bought the "bronze" and black suede. Both are terrific, too. The Bronze is not really a bronze color, however. It is more of a green, but the color is great with a lot of my clothes, so I kept them. I really like the low heel - it looks a lot higher than it is and is very comfortable & so much sexier than my "normal" clunky heels or cowboy boots!

I bought the animal print boots and they are HOT! I have large ankles and large calves and they fit fine. I am also tall and the boot goes all the way up to the top of the calf. You can also fold them down if wearing them under pants. Great heel height! These are "keepers."

Lovely boots...on someone else!
I bought these boots due to the rave reviews on Zappos. They are absolutely lovely -- the suede is beautiful. However, there was some sagging around my ankles (I have defined calves and tiny ankles) -- and they didn't look right. For the price, they have to be perfect! Zappos, as always, was wonderful!!

Elisa Bronze Metallic -
These boots are amazing, the color is perfect with blacks and browns and the heel height is just right. I have a wide foot and wear a 10, so I ordered a 10 and 10.5, the 10.5 was perfect so if you could I would say go up a half. I cannot wait to order more! Zappos you have customer service how it should be, amazing!

Love This Boot!!
I am a size 5 with thin legs and did not know how this boot was going to fit. I could not believe how good it looks and how comfortable it is! The heel height is perfect. I highly recommend this boot. I'm trying to figure out which color to purchase next.

These boots are worth every penny! I was a bit unsure about spending this much on boots but I'm so glad I did. They fit like a glove and look hot! The heel is just right and they feel very comfortable. I'm going to get another color because I love them so much. They are also packaged like you are getting a very high-end product. They even come with a dust bag! Don't hesitate. Buy these boots!

So sad...
I really wanted these boots to work out--rave reviews, including kudos for comfort, and on sale right now!--but they just didn't look right to me. Because of the thin stretchy material, although the boots hug the calves and foot, they tend to bag at the ankles, ruining the sleek look. I tried different materials and sizes to no avail, though it was least noticeable on the black crepe. Maybe this happens with all stretch pull-on boots. If so, I will stick with zippers and leather. Too bad--they would've made a nice addition to my boot wardrobe if only they looked the same on as they do in the picture.

No pain, no gain!
The boot itself is stunning and the footbed felt true to size (I am typically a 6.5 and ordered a 6.5). However, the 16" circumference of the shaft is a little misleading. It's tight, not truly a 16" but it looks so good that I am praying that it will stretch with wear.

Yep, suede IS a form of leather!
I bought the antique metallic bronze suede pair, yep real leather here folks. If you choose the Microstretch, then you don't get real leather.
Mine don't squeak at all. Very hot-looking, sexy boot! The bronze metal plate at the heel is a nice touch. Comfortable heel height and fits true-to-size. First pair of boots that I've owned in this style that doesn't have a zipper, and I have to say, they're very cool!

 |  | Hi Fabulous Zappos Team: Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Barb and I just finished reading an absolutely delightful article about your company and corporate culture. I was so genuinely impressed that I wanted to send you all a note of thanks. Thanks for being the genuine article! My entire adult work life I have tried to promote a happy, customer focused work environment. While I have always been extremely productive from being authentic and caring, certain supervisors looked at my ways as being suspect and a little weird. Yes, it's true they felt a respectful, caring attitude was a waste of time and actually did not care if their current customers were satisfied. How they didn't equate that current happy customers equals monetary success now and later through referrals is still beyond me. They also never "got it" that their incredibly high employee turnover cost them dearly. Trained, happy people produce positive results. I worked with a company as a manager for the past 8 years that went through 29 managers in the 2 locations closest to me in my 1st two years of employment. Finally I decided to leave after not being able to effect positive change in my boss. Amazingly at Zappos the positive goes CEO down and back up - way to go! Being the eccentric optimist I am, I left my job and figured I'd have a great job in no time. Unfortunately, I am still looking for a positive, proactive position and was getting a little blue until I read the article tonight about Zappos. The great news is that my faith has been restored. There actually is a company that values what is really important and not just in a PR lip-service kind of way. I wish you all enormous success, big bucks, and happiness. I hope that your corporate culture spreads out like wild-fire to other businesses so that people like me who live it and believe it can experience it in our careers. If my husband wasn't off serving in Iraq, I'd probably be there beating down the door for a job, but it is in extremely bad form to sell the house and move away while the husband is out of the country for a year.
I most sincerely appreciate: Your Zappos core values that you really follow. Your supporting your employees to learn more, be happier
