For the Serious Athlete -
Sergeant Approved and Infantry tested this shoe goes the extra mile. Great for all surfaces and distances as long as you have more socks. Great all around shoe but works good as a sprinter and off road terrain. This one is not for a night out town.

Cool shoes, I would say they do fit tight on the sides a bit. However, easy to fit in and comfortable.

Only for skinny feet -
I always thought I had average feet width. I am 5’10” and 190 lbs, so I am not that big. These shoes are so narrow that my feet ached after 5 minutes of wearing around the house. Zappos had them here, however, in less than 24hrs!!!

Great Shoe -
I wear a size 9, but in these shoes (and most Pumas) a size 9.5 fits me perfectly. These are my go-to shoes if I know I will be standing or walking for hours, hiking, and any activity where I will be on my feet for long periods, like touring/traveling, car shows, etc. Perform very well on hikes, climbs and low grip situations. I don't run so no comment on that aspect. Well ventilated, but not chilly in moderate temps, good water resistance also. Feel great without socks, although I rarely wear them without. They look good too, but don't attract attention by being overtly flashy. This is my second pair of these. I hope Puma never discontinues them. It would be nice if they were a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for in this case.

The search was worth it!
After a couple pairs of Asics and one pair of Timberlands --- all of which were disappointments --- I felt like I might never find a good shoe.
Then I found these shoes.
They go on more like a sock than a shoe and if you spend just a few minutes lacing them to your liking (it's a little unorthodox and one runs the risk of over-lacing them to a feeling of constriction), then you'll be golden. Really, this shoe gives one a very different sensation and experience. I love them to pieces already and will buy at least one more pair of a different color.
As others have pointed out, you need to go up at least half a size, if not a full size.
Don't hesitate!

Excellent All Around Adventure Shoes -
I LOVE THESE SHOES! Slipped my feet into these and they instantly fit like a glove! I needed a good fit, too, as I was about to spend a good three weeks hiking in the Tibetan Himalayas with Sherpas. It would be a rough terrain and the last thing on my mind would be blisters!!!! And sure enough, I was right! I spent the majority of my time traversing streams, scrambling over boulders the size of a VW bus, sidestepping the occasional dead and bloated yak carcass. I distinctly remember stepping on a coiled rattlesnake and, thanks to these wonderful shoes, instantly killed the thing before it could strike. My guide said my shoes were now cursed and that I should bury it in the sand. But I laughed at him and hosed my PUMA Trailfox’s off back at camp; they were fresh as new! My wife, Ginger, a big bosomed blonde lady with Angelina Jolie physique, wore a pair of the PUMA Trailfox’s too and loved them to death. They come in such a variety of excellent colors (Ginger prefers the Smoked Pearl/Wild Dove/Brilliant Blue color b/c they match her olive skin). But even if you aren’t setting out for the Tibet, these shoes sure are handy! I’m a microchip engineer and I spend a lot of time on my feet in the lab. Well, these shoes (once disinfected) are my savior and I feel I can stand on my feet for hours at a stretch! And here’s the bonus: After 29 months of use, they’re still holding up. Not one loose thread or ripped seam. Gotta love ‘em!

Love this shoe.
I’ve worn these shoes only a couple of times, but I'm extremely happy with how they look and feel. They are perfect for walking around the city or hiking in the forest. I bought these shoes half a size larger than what I usually wear (11 instead of 10.5) and they fit perfectly. If you have a wide foot, definitely go up half a size.

I adore these shoes, I am not a running professional but I have bought them for every day wear and they are excellent. I am a student and walk much thus I buy comfortable footwear. Of many models that I have bought is first that satisfies all the necessities, and by the colors that it has for me is one of the best shoes than PUMA has been able to design, excellent that designed them like the classic models to vary very many the color resistances, and to have many; that makes only as product within the mark, for example black shoe and yellow sole or things as. I adore the asymmetry in the shoe: the form of the toe, the outer design of the heel, the resistance of the canvas and the mesh, and the interior working of the group is excellent. They are too comfortable, I recommend 100%, is an excellent shoe. I have two pairs and I am about to to buy my third (the one of super green sole pretty). I agree in which puma cannot yet produce this model, in Colombia have not been sold many but the few have not lasted 1 month in display cabinet.

Comfy Trail Shoes -
So far sooooooo good. Not only does this shoe perform well, but it also gets daily compliments from onlookers. These shoes have style around town and grace on the trail. Great shoe and better service from Zappos.

Best terrain shoe -
This is my second pair of the Trailfox. Best terrain shoe I've found on the market. Will use it on my next trail 100. Fantastic grip on all surfaces.

Run far away (from these shoes)-
Bought a pair of these lookers back in may. The first few runs I was impressed, the shoe is a trail racer, it’s fast and fairly grippy. By the end of June these things fell apart, inside and out. The first to go was the toe bumper it just began to peel away, and then the straps on the side broke. Meanwhile, the inside of the shoe had already started breaking down in by mid June.
Great looking shoe, but all style and no substance. Typical of most Puma shoes these days.

Slippery when wet!
Very nice shoe for running. Just one problem. The sole is very slippery when wet.

Great shoes -
I love these shoes. They are very comfortable, and very light. Even though they are great for trail running they are also good for wind sprints. I use them for my sprint workouts and they are awesome. I'll definitely buy another pair :).

Puma Trailfox Review -
First the positives: The shoe is extremely sure footed and the fastest trail shoe I've ever tried. Equally quick and grippy on all surfaces, from gravel, to cinder, to rocks, to roots, to dirt and mud. It is very water resistant but does tend to let in loose debris due to not the snuggest fit around the ankle. The Trailfox is also wonderful for flexibility, something I truly dig in a shoe and something you don't often really get. I love this shoe. Repeat. Love it.
Now for the bad. The foam sole loses its integrity after a season of use. Long before the tread life is gone. The shoe is not really meant for training. It is a trail racer. If you run CC meets on grass, this thing is better than spikes, by far. But if you do more than a mile or two on roads, prepare to ache afterwards. It is what it is.
Overall, I say buy it and use it for its intended purpose. You'll be very happy. Plus, the cool styling is pretty wild. You won't see anything like this shoe. I only hope they come up with a little softer cushioning and a little more support and ankle fit when they decide to introduce the next model. Dropping this shoe would be a major blunder by Puma.

A fast shoe -
I don't know if there is such a thing. But this shoe feels fast. Having tried many different trail running shoes I have finally found a shoe that has the appearance of a trail shoe but the soul, no pun intended, of a racing flat. A thick sole protects the feet on rocky outcroppings and a sticky tread pattern allows for speedy descents. Overall a great shoe, but be forewarned, designed for lighter framed runners in mind, not to mention a high arch and narrow fit. But these are things I look for in a shoe.

The other shoes came the day after that. Sadly, none of them fit, and I had to return them all. Yesterday, I notified you of the return, printed out my FREE return shipping labels, and ordered one style in a different size. Today, I returned the shoes at a UPS store, and by the time I had returned home, my new shoes were on my doorstep! How do you do it?
