I have a left foot with a collapsed metatarsal. Only one in 400 shoes fit. Vasque Blur does. I currently own 3 Vasque hiking boots that are 20 years old. Their last fits my finicky left foot. So does the new Blur! I now have 3 Blurs because I can wear them in the garden, to the store or to the walking trail. I bought three because you never know when the model will be discontinued.

The best shoes I’ve ever owned, seriously -
I have a narrower foot, and many shoes fit initially and then stretch out. These do not. The sole is long wearing, the toe bumper doesn't come unglued (in fact, the shoe remains in one piece after much abuse). It's comfortable to wear all day long. Although I do not use them primarily as a light approach/trail runner, they have served me well in this regard too, with excellent ankle support and off road traction.

These fit Like a Glove!!!
I looked at many top trail shoe companies to find a true size 14 but didn't find a proper fit. A lot of the shoes out there come in metric sizes which is given a comparable standard size but they just don't work for me. Vasque makes their shoes for the standard size so when you order a size it is exactly the standard size. Also, their shoes are durable and light weight. They stand up to heavy duty backpacking because of the firm sole. They are comfortable and provide great water protection with the Gore-Tex lining. I'm very pleased with this shoe. I complimented these shoes with Superfeet insoles to give excellent support. I had the boot model last year and hiked over a thousand miles on the AT before replacing them.

No Problem -
I've had Vasque boots before and they always fit as soon as you put them on. These were the same. The photos blue color is really more a gray. It has a good full toebox. It is light but sturdy. I have a squeak in the heel as I walk but it should disappear as the shoes get more wear.

Comfortable out of the box -
After receiving a "2006 Best Gear" award from Outside magazine I decided to test drive the Vasque Blur. The shoe fits great right out of the box. It has a nice roomy toe box and the heel fits snugly in the shoe. I also like that the laces are not too long. Normally I have to double tie my laces to keep them from dragging the ground. I also like the styling and the thoughtful reflective stripes are a nice touch especially for a night run.
Since the Gore-Tex version is now available I tried it first. The negative was that the shoe made a popping sound from the toe when I walked and I felt my foot heat-up from lack of ventilation. The popping sound seems to result from the stiffer material that forms the webbing across the in-step. The Gore-Tex version is also higher around the ankles, which can rub against the anklebone. You might want to only consider this shoe if running in wet conditions is a concern.

Fantastic shoe; Dismal Color -
One of the most comfortable/versatile shoes I have ever owned, but the color is a little harsh for a 54 year young man. Despite the color I wear the heck out of them and look forward to ordering another (especially when a nice neutral color is designed). Bottom line: buy this shoe regardless of color...it’s the best.

Solid Trail Runner -
A decent trail running shoe...the "smurf blue" is definitely ...distinctive. I am a severe over-pronator and I felt like these offered a good amount of support for the flats and on the road. Cushioning is decent but not overly cushy or thin. Tread is not too grippy - worked OK on the road. Toe box feels a little stiff, even for a trail runner, but I can live with that.

A very comfortable trail running shoe. Almost too pretty to get dirty on rugged trails, but the shoe can definitely handle it.
