Down & Dirty - Positives: This is a huge, extremely warm parka. The size 3XL is both big and tall with nice long sleeves. No tight elastic on sleeve openings allows for easy put-on/take-off. Both hood and fur are removable. Negatives: The fabric collects a lot of lint and pet hair, dog/cat owners beware! There are no vents whatsoever. Warmth comes at a price, (granted in size 3XL), this coat weighs a ton. Removing the fur hood collar leaves metal snaps essentially uncovered. The waist cinch cord adjustments must be made from inside each of the breast pockets instead of from just inside the coat's interior lining. The cinch is really high up. Although the parka is plenty long, it cinches pretty high up, not at the waist. Kudos to TNF for making coats in 3XL, but this one doesn't fit my needs.

Could not live without in Chicago winters...
Over-filled down, windproof and waterproof parka was essential in Chicago this past winter. Fit was perfect with the exception of the hood which was a little too big. But otherwise excellent and very functional. If you live in extreme cold, you will not regret getting this parka.
