Zipper doesn't stay up -
The zipper does not stay up in these boots. Because of this, snow easily enters the boots making them extremely uncomfortable. The last thing I want when out walking or shoveling snow is to be constantly zipping up my boots. I do not recommend these boots at all.

Happy With My Purchase -
I purchased these after tons of snow in our area and just couldn't stand my old boots any longer. I love the zipper. It saves so much time and is so much more appealing to use. Sometimes the zipper slips, but this hasn't posed a problem. Comfortable, cute, pants fit over top easily. I highly recommend.

Cute and Warm, But...
Loved these shoes for the look and the warmth. When I got them, I wore them around the house some to "break them in", but... once I got to my cold and snowy destination, the zipper in front unzipped every time I walked in them. Don't know why they didn't do that when I wore them at home. Probably because they weren't really "worn in" at the time. I ordered 1/2 size up like most people suggested, but had to send them back to get my normal size. Wish I had stayed with the 1/2 size up as I couldn't wear 2 pr. of socks or really thick socks like I needed to. Overall, they are comfortable. I wore them all day while traveling and on the airplane!

Good product for the money -
Love these boots. They were a little hard at first, but within 3 or 4 days of wearing they broke in. Very comfortable nonetheless. These boots are very warm and are great for cold weather and rain. Haven't tried them in the snow.

Excellent snow boot. Very warm with great ankle support and grip on snow and ice. Super cute, too. The zipper is so convenient I'd never go back to laces and grommets.

I really like them. The size 6 fit my foot, but the ankle was way too skinny for me to fit my foot into. The size 7 is almost perfect, but now has too much space in the ankle area, just a little loose. Also, there really isn't a very high arch support. All in all, they have served their purpose, and are very cute.

Columbia Teraval Cold Weather Boot -
I bought 1/2 size larger and should have gone 1 full size larger-the issue is the heel cup is tight for me. I normally wear thick socks. These boots are so well insulated and warm you really don't need the thick socks. Good thing since I can't get them on with thick socks. The zipper is a little bit of a problem-if you're not really good about flattening the zipper pull-locking it-it will slide down. Very water proof-we just went through 8" of snow and they looked good and felt good.

Totally comfortable!
It took about 2 days to completely break in, but since then I've worn these shoes all of the time! Extremely comfortable and cute, too. And of course they keep my feet extremely warm as well (it's been quite cold and snowy here in the Chicago area).
The zipper slips down every once in a while, but not a big deal at all.

Slippery zipper -
These just came yesterday and I took them for a 3-mile hike today. They are attractive, very comfortable and quite warm, but the zipper does not stay up.

Finally!
Thanks to Zappos excellent customer service and the helpful reviews, I finally found the perfect zip on winter boot! (3rd time's a charm!)
At first they felt tight across top of foot where zipper starts, but after an hour around the house they felt good.
Went walking at night on slick, snow-coated roads with light socks. Traction is excellent and feet were warm. Easy to put on and take off. What more could you ask for?
I wear 8.5 or 9 and the 9's fit perfect.

These are great! For anyone with a calf that is a tad larger, these will accommodate you. They may feel a bit tight to start but they kind of mold to your leg. Wear light socks, you won't need anything heavy. Very comfortable and truly waterproof. You will enjoy them.

The boots are light and warm - but the zipper does not stay up at all, which I find quite uncomfortable.. thinking of getting a different pair for this winter without the zipper.

Stylish, Comfy and WARM -
I was looking for a winter boot that was stylish, comfortable and warm. This was it. I work on my feet all day and I barely know I have them on (not heavy at all). I had the Bugabootoos and loved them (lasted 8yrs) but didn't want laces. These were perfect. Never had a problem with the zipper falling. Heavy socks not needed. Getting another pair!

White not really white -
I thought this would be a very cute snow boot and bought the one in "winter white." Unfortunately, winter white turns out to be a bit pink/beige tinted. I ultimately returned the item anyways since the weather starting getting warm before I ever got a chance to wear them.

The Zippers Unzip.
I received these boots on 12-11-06 and didn't have the chance to wear them until February. Like others here have said, the zippers unzip while walking. Unlike some of the others who said the unzipped boot didn't interfere with their walking, I found it too difficult to walk with the zippers sliding down and opening as I couldn't keep my foot secure inside the boot and felt like I was wearing slippers that were too loose. In terms of the zipper, this boot is not as described as it is stated that it has a "quick functioning locking zipper."

Oh so cute and comfy -
These boots are so cute, and really comfortable, too! They look great with skinny jeans or just as cute with jeans over them, not too bulky at the top. Like everyone said, the zipper does unzip when you're walking, but not enough to even notice. The shoe doesn’t become noticeably looser or anything. I didn’t even realize until I looked down. Definitely worth it and the price was unbeatable-especially with no tax! And I received them right away! Score!

Great easy shoe -
It was my first time going to the snow and I was faced with having to find a comfortable and warm boot to wear. Because of Zappos wonderful return policy, I ordered NINE pairs of boots to try on. I had no idea what size I should pick and wanted to make sure I found a boot warm enough for the snow. I ended up picking this boot and a pair of black Kombus. I love this boot! It is so comfortable and easy to just slip on. I got the greenish color and I love them. I've had them for over 3 months and I still think they're great. I've only had one problem with this boot. My zippers consistently fall down in the front! You'd think this would make me regret my purchase. TO be honest, the shoe is just as comfortable with the zippers down. I'd obviously prefer them not to fall down, but I wouldn't return them even with this issue. The front zipper makes the shoes so convenient to slip on and off and I wouldn't trade that in. I'm curious as to whether this is a design defect of the shoe itself or whether mine just happens to do this. I read a previous review suggesting that you leave the zipper in the down position after you zip them up. I feel as though i have tried this already and it didn't make a difference. Either way, I love this boot and highly recommend it, but keep in mind the zipper if this is something that would really bother you. Additionally, I wear a 9 and bought a 9.5 in this shoe.

My Columbia Bugazip boots split after 5 yrs. and I bought this one instead. It is wonderful... just remember to put the zipper tab DOWN so it won't unzip when you are in the snow.

Easy-On Boots!
I had previously ordered several pair of Keen boots, but was unable to pull them on. On one of the pages of Keen shoes, there was a reference to the Columbia brand, which is how I found these boots which have a front zipper, making it easier to push my foot in. Haven't worn them yet because it hasn't gotten cold enough here.

Fabulous boot -
Haven't had much snow to truly check out the traction of these boots, but being a Northern-er for 50 years, I KNOW this boot will pass the test of time, cold and traction. Wearing them wishing for a white Christmas, I just love the support and all over comfort. I have Uggs and other big brand names, these are the best in comfort and good looks...keep up the great designs Columbia, and thank you Zappos for such wonderful service!

 |  | Thank you so much for the shipping upgrade. You really have no idea what it means to me. My toddler is having a tough time transitioning to a new building and classroom at his preschool. In his new class, everyone wears slippers. The school requires that the slippers be plain and without "characters." I was having a heck of a time trying to find nice slippers in the middle of August in Montgomery, Alabama. The quicker the slippers get here, the easier the transition will be for my toddler.
