We love these shoes. This is our third pair. Each time my son grows, we order a new pair in the correct size. They look great with casual clothes and "dressy" jeans. My son loves them. True to size and machine washable.

We love these Old Skool Vans. My 2 1/2 year old son wears them all the time and they hold up better than any other sneaker that we've tried. We have 2 colors, blue and black, and they look cute with everything. People are always saying "I love his little Vans!" They run a size bigger than other brands so I buy an 8 in Vans when I buy a 9 in other shoes.

These shoes are great! My 2 year old loves them and they have a great retro-cool look. They do seem to show dirt pretty readily though.

I bought these skate shoes for my son. They're true to size, and very cute! Very easy with the Velcro closures. This is our third pair of this kind of shoe, different color. When he out grows these, we will get another pair. I love Zappos free both ways shipping! You have nothing to lose; if you don't like 'em or they don't fit send em back! Zappos customer service people are so helpful.

Bought this shoe for my 2 1/2 year old. Lasted 3 weeks before the part where velcro attached to shoe came off. Very disappointed!!

I bought these for my 1 year old nephew months ago and they're still holding up. These were the first pair of shoes I bought him because I thought they were adorable! I ordered him a 5 but they were too big so I ordered a 4 instead. My sister says they get a lot of compliments when they go out to the stores. I already bought his next pair - the dinosaur slip-ons in a 4 & 1/2. Now I'm looking to get either the plaid or checkerboard slip-ons or maybe the solid blue Old Skool. I love dressing him in cool kicks!

This shoe just arrived for my 3 y/o. I hate trying to guess online what size to order so thought this comparison might help others. The Vans size 9 is equivalent to a Stride Rite 9.5 Wide. (I stuck the Vans insole into my son's SR shoe and it fit perfectly.) Can't wait to wear them tomorrow!

Great value, comfy shoe -
My 2-yr-old twin boys love these shoes! Easy on/off (they can even do it themselves), and so far are holding up great. I've bought much more expensive pairs of shoes that haven't held up very well at all, so I thought I'd give Vans a try and I'm extremely happy that I did. The look is fun, too, and we get a lot of complements on them. In fact, I have already purchased another pair for each of them in the next size up.

Love these little shoes!
Everything I had expected! My son is a size 5.5 now; however, size 5.5 in other shoes are slightly small and size 6 is too big. Since Van's run a half size big, a 5.5 fits him perfect!

Love these shoes for my toddler!
My son is 14 months and loves walking around in these shoes. They very easy to get on and off and he gets tons of compliments on them. They seem to be very comfortable on his feet, too.

I've been buying this shoe for my son since he started walking - now he's 4 and he never complains about the fit like other shoes. It is a great shoe and he can put them on himself.

I like to put my son in only skate shoes. He has a slightly wider foot though. These shoes fit so perfect it was like a blessing! They look so cool as well. Everywhere we go we are complimented on them!

These shoes are very cute and my toddler hasn't complained about them hurting his feet but they just feel and look kinda cheaply made for the price.

Good fit -
Nice that the 1/2 sizes are offered for toddlers. These fit my son well, and he seems to be doing well in them. My wife wants a matching pair for herself now, to replace her old converse.

Love these shoes -
I love these shoes, and so does my son. We're on our 3rd pair (we get another color when he outgrows the last one). They're really durable despite the abuse my son puts on them. The velcro tabs are really sturdy, and my son likes putting them on himself. They look cool, too.

I was debating between Converse and Vans and I'm definitely happy with my choice with the Vans Kid's Classic. They are sturdy and comfortable and withstand the wear and tear of a 4 1/2 yr old that plays all the time outdoors with 2 dogs. I really recommend it. The only con is the white bottom section does get dirty very easily.

They really are Old School -
Just like we used to wear in the 70s. Cool. Love the hook-and-loop closure for my toddler, makes life easy. These are excellent shoes if your baby has a thick, wide foot like mine does (more square than foot-like). He wears xxw in Stride Rite, but these fit him very well.

Unique and Fun Shoes!
I got the red Old Skool 6 1/2 shoes for my 20m old daughter. The shoe fits great w/ a little room to grow. This is her 3rd pair of Vans, we prefer the shoes w/ the velcro b/c we can get her foot in very easily, the other not so easy. We love these shoes b/c they are not the generic type shoe that we can only get at our local stores. These shoes match my daughter’s personality, Unique and Fun!
