One of the best shoes I have ever owned.
If you have a bit wider feet, these shoes are god-send. I wore these for 1 year straight in Iraq on gravel roads and trails and they held up 100%. I was a defense contractor. The heat was 120 on some days and I would have thought the glue would have come off near the toe. No go. These shoes rock. I am ordering my second pair b/c Garmont just stopped making this model.

Amazing Shoe -
I have had a pair of these shoes for about 1.5 years now and I am just now thinking of replacing them. I use them for everything. Around town, day hikes, and backpacking trips. Couldn't be a more versatile, lightweight, do anything shoe. The heel shape is slightly rounded which allows your foot almost always land at an appropriate angle to the ground no matter what the footing is like. It has a large toe box but a snug fit. The laces never shift and it bends in all the right places. The only drawback here is that it's not waterproof. I found a nice nylon waterproofing agent (make sure to find one that will still allow the shoe to breath, or you'll hate yourself) and then the shoes are a dream!! You'll never want anything else on your feet!

Bomb proof shoe
Love these guys. I have had the same pair now for almost 1 ½ years & they are still going strong. Use them in a mix of around town & on fast backpacking/hiking. Also great in snow & slick trails. I used these on a 56 mile non-stop hike across the Olympic Peninsula & worked like a dream. Toe box is big enough to allow some swelling, but still very comfortable.
Only complaint they do not drain water well. If you do a stream crossing, you will need to stop & drain water.

Good shoe -
I have a more narrow foot than "standard medium" and this shoe fits well. Length true to size. I did add the volume shim that comes with shoe, as I have low volume/low instep. Has been very comfortable shoe for daily wear, light hiking, fitness/ArcTrainer, and standing for hours at work. Seems durable. Great Zappos service.

Good Shoe -
This shoe is great looking and comfortable. The reason I didn't give it four stars on comfort is the laces. If you can adjust them just right then the shoe feels great but that seems to be tricky on these shoes, not sure if that is because they are off center or what. Otherwise they are very durable and look great.

I can really feel the arch in this shoe. They feel tighter than the size indicates.

I like the Nasty so much I bought two pairs. Hardly wear anything else.
Note: In most shoes I wear an 11. In the Nasty I wear a 13. Ordered a 12&1/2 and it was too small!

Great ride -
I have about 2 months in these and they are very comfortable for my slightly higher than average volume feet. The shock absorption in the heel is very nice going downhill on hard trails.

Great light hiker / approach shoe -
Slight break-in took about 2-3 days. Now the fit feels perfect (I have medium volume feet w/ average-to-high arch). Have used on the trail, for short runs and "around town". They are extremely comfortable, supportive, lightweight, and provide great cushioning and traction. Appear to be very durable. Purchased this style in preference to newer style just released. What more could you want? Will probably purchase again if style/color improves over newest version.

Am satisfied with the comfort of the shoe. I like the broader toebox. I use 1/2 size larger to accommodate my orthotics. The soles seem to have good grip. The only thing is I didn't realize that the shoe is not waterproof. The 2-hour hike today during drizzling rain left my feet soaking wet.
