Like the shoes but I would go with the Briggs if they had a bison color or Boston II if they had my size at the time.

I have owned two pairs of these shoes. They are some of the most comfortable shoes that I've ever worn. That being said, I wouldn't buy these shoes. I returned the first pair because the seam on side, towards the toe, split open after just a couple of months. They replaced the shoe and after just a couple of months the seam split again. This is the seam that you can see in the picture that slants up and down on the outside of the shoe. I kept wearing them because they were so comfortable even though I had a gaping hole in the side of my shoes. This is just a bad design. I love Keen but these shoes will not last.

Wide, the size feels complete. Very comfortable and they look great!. They handle the dirt very well, lets see how they perform in winter.

This shoe has worn well over the five months that I have worn it, with one exception. The so called "semi-aggressive" sole has hollow lugs! Yes, half of the depth of the lugs has worn down on one shoe and since, by design, they are hollow I now have a hole in the sole of my shoe. Close inspection shows that several other lugs are ready to wear through as well. The rest of the shoes have held up very well, but the soles have given up the ghost! For the price I would expect a better design, especially from Keen. From now on I'll just stick with their sandals and go back to Rockport or Clarks for shoes.

I recently purchased these shoes and am very pleased with them. I originally ordered them in a size 10 and they were a little large so I exchanged them for a 9.5. Excellent customer service was provided for this process and I received the new item the next day! I will definitely consider Zappos for my next shoe purchase.

I wore them for the first time today - all day long with no issues. Practically no break-in time. I will comment that I have very wide feet, usually XXW for most manufacturers and these are plenty wide enough.

I bought these shoes right before going on a 3 week train/walk-a-thon through Europe in winter and was very happy with them. I didn't bring any other shoes and got along great, even stayed dry after trudging through 15 inches of fresh snow in the Swiss Alps. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent shoe, my fourth pair of Keens and with the exception of the Voyageur the best pair yet. Keens seem to run a size larger than my other shoes. Zappos as usual has excellent customer service and prompt response. Very satisfied with the shoes and the company.

4th pair of Keens -
I will continue to by these shoes as long as they are available. Very little break in time and very comfortable from day one. Wore my original pair until the bottoms were smooth. Great shoes!

Very keen Keen!
A most comfortable shoe. I walk every day and get great support with the Portsmouth. My third pair, they are durable, and do stretch some with wear. I usually wear a size 10, but the 9 1/2 in this shoe fits me better. Happy walking.

Most comfortable shoes I've found -
Sturdy, comfortable shoes. My previous pair lasted over 2 years of almost daily use in a work environment where I was on my feet 8-10 hours a day. At the end of those two years they were still comfortable without the need for new insoles. Before these shoes, I was always coming home with sore feet. Afterwards, I had no problems.

Pros and Cons -
Pros: Good and unique looking shoe. Felt comfy enough right out of the box.
Cons: NOT as comfy after spending time in them. Sole is hard, will go "click clack" as you walk on hard flooring. The piping trim on the earlier model didn't hold up.
Verdict: I don't wear them anymore; I'm back to cushy walk DMX shoes.

Inconsistent sizing -
I bought 3 pairs of Keen's Portsmouth for Christmas gifts this year --- and they all 3 fit differently! Very sad, had to send 2 of them back. The one pair that was true to size was rated "A+" by my son! Wish Keen would get more consistent with their sizing!!

Nice Shoes -
My husband really likes these shoes. My son thinks his dad finally looks modern. A co-worker even complimented him! They look GREAT with jeans, and the waterproof leather allows him to clear light snow off the cars or shovel without worry. They run slightly larger than his other Keens, so he wears heavier socks with them. Great for winter - but in summer they would simply be too large. A 1/2 size smaller might have worked, but since he likes thick socks, we didn't exchange.

When all of my medical colleagues are wearing Danskos, etc - I went with the Keens - multiple 30 hour days over 1.5 years now, and I'm wearing the same pair and urging all hospital employees to get a pair. My feet have never been happier, and have not bothered me one whit - nor my back when I'm wearing them. Not only a standard arch, but a comfortable transverse arch as well.

Great for work or casual wear -
These shoes are really comfortable with outstanding arch support! I have two pair of Keen Austin's and these have been added primarily for work. These shoes are as comfortable as my Austins and look great at the office. As usual, Zappos' service was outstanding and delivered these shoes the next day.

A very comfortable shoe - This is my second pair of Keens Portsmouth. I found the shoe to be very comfortable and durable. I wore them to an outdoor event where it was raining and cold and they kept my feet warm and dry. It is a great shoe!

Beautiful Ugly -
This is my second pair. The first tore in one of seams, the shoe were due for replacement anyway. They are a solid buy for in City or out.

On our seond pair of this shoe - My 20 year old son loves these shoes so much he asked me to order him another pair exactly the same. He likes the styling and they fit his wide foot. He also found them to be effectively waterproof during the Chicago winter. There is a similar Keen shoe with a seam on the top of the shoe and he dislikes that effect, so we were relieved that Portsmouth was still available.

Walking on pillows -
I have completely flat feet but these shoes are soft, shock absorbent, and have good arch support. The wide toe box is fantastic. My only criticism is that the ties on these have to be pulled very tight for narrow feet not to slip in them, and then loosened if you want to be comfortable around the office. Ties like the Keen sandals, or gore, or some sort of adjustable system, would be great! Good walking shoes, though.

Great looking!
Great looking shoe. Very comfortable, lightweight and stylish. Unlike some of Keens other models which felt 1/2 to 1 too small, this one does seem to fit true to size. Very generous toe-box. I'll probably end up getting the other color, too.

Sweet Shoes!
I have enjoyed these shoes for just a couple of weeks now, but they are quickly becoming my favorite. They have been very comfortable right out of the box and have needed no break in time.

This is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They look good and broke in almost instantly. Only down side is the sole wore out quickly. I'm looking at getting another pair.

A bit large -
Great looking shoes - and quite comfortable. BUT, they run about 1/2 size large, so I shoulda' ordered an 11-1/2 rather than a 12. Have to use insoles and heavy socks to keep them from slipping on my heels. I have the "same" shoe in the slip-on style and it runs more true to size.
