I was looking for a comfortable and stylish flop to perform double duty between the beach and post- Thai Boxing training. The Ocean Minded: Scorpion performs well. Decent (not extensive) arch support and looks great. Footbed is incredibly soft and comfortable. The hemp bottom tends to attract some dirt if you walk outside on terrain. They have not yet been beach tested, but they do appear to be easily darkened/discolored by water or even slight amounts of soiling on your feet due to the raw, foam- like material of the footbed. The Scorpions are definitely sturdy and feel very good. My only concern is how they will hold up aesthetically over time. Overall comfort and performance has been excellent. I would buy these again. And the OM logo is very cool.

Typically, I am not the biggest fan of sandals. I much prefer to slip on a pair of Pumas or Adidas than having my toes hanging out and heel flapping. However, these sandals have won me over. I am still not going to wear them as an everyday shoe, but they are comfortable enough to wear for a few hours on a boat, at the beach/boardwalk, or just chilling in the sun. I really like the suede bottoms, and the leather thongs were perfectly comfortable after the first wear. I refuse to wear footwear that takes hours/days to break in. I have read reviews of other sandals and do not understand how anyone could be happy with a product that takes hours to days to break in. Thankfully, these did not.

This shoe looks great! When you first put them on, they are a little uncomfortable. However, as you continue to wear them, they gradually break-in and become more comfortable.

Worn for almost two years - still love 'em.
As a former Birkenstock wearer (I just can't get past how ugly they are anymore), I have a pretty good idea what a comfortable sandal is. These certainly fit the bill. Great arch support and a snug fit means you're not accidentally kicking them off as you walk. Will be ready for a new pair next summer probably, but these are still going strong! Love the distressed, worn in look. As an aside, much more comfortable (and stable) than Rainbows...their natural competitor. Cheaper, too!

My brother recommended this brand several years ago and it is the only flip-flop style my 14-year-old son wears. We buy a new pair every time he grows out of them. He needs an orthotic in his sneakers but this shoe has more support than any other of its type. And style-wise, they look as cool on my 14 year old at the beach as they do on my 45 year old brother in the city.

Great flip-flop -
I was looking for a casual flip flop that was not rubber and would be comfortable. This was perfect! It has a bottom similar to that of a Birkenstock and the toe piece is very thin so it does not rub at all. Only small downfall was the bottom of the shoe was a little slick until it got worn in.

Most comfortable sandals I ever owned. They are a bit wider than they appear, but by no means too wide. Will last a long time. Good buy.

A solid sandal -
This is a good flip-flop. Lots of cushion and sculpted arch support. Treads on the bottom are not sporty by any means, but do the trick for leisurely cruising. Go for it.

Footbed is delicious; strap is hard as a rock!
Really great distressed look. Super comfortable footbed but the strap is so rigid and uncomfortable. Such a shame. Who wants to suffer breaking in a flip flop? Zappos return policy rocks though...no harm, no foul.

Birkenstock like comfort -
The flip flops fit well out of the box. The leather strap between your toes can cause blister on long walks the first day or two of wear. Once broken in these flip flops are very comfortable.

Get them wet! Once you wear them when they're wet (be careful though, they can be slippery) they will mold to your feet!

SOLID SANDAL -
This sandal is close in feel to a Birkenstock with the bonus of it being a tong style. The crossover strap is a sturdy canvas material and the footbed feels like velvet. Zero break in period and while I wear them with shorts, could easily convert to a business casual sandal. Good value for the money.

Good for the money -
You get what you pay for! The shoe fits fine, appears to be well made, looks good and is pretty comfortable. Not the best I've ever had but absolutely worth the money.

I just purchased these and I must say, I found them comfortable and awesome lookin. The only thing I’m not 100% sure about is the fact that the bottoms can be slick on smooth surfaces. Other than that, good buy.

Made for looks and comfort, not for long walks!
I love the looks of the Scorpion compared to many other brands that I have seen. At first they were a little tight on my foot, but just get them wet and wear them for a half hour and they form very nicely. They are very comfortable for basic use but I wouldn't wear them to walk long distances "OOUUUCCH!!!!"

A Leathery Break from Scorching Summer Days...
For a great stride along the beach, this is the sandal to go with. For more demanding treading, this is probably not your best bet -- sole could have better traction. The footbed could be slightly wider, but it is otherwise comfortable, as are the straps. In general, great design and style!

Weird at first, these shoes grew on me. I am now a big fan and enjoy them on a regular basis. Not as comfortable as say rainbows, but they are also cheaper, which is a good thing for someone on a budget like me.

A good sandal -
The softness of the footbed scared me at first because I thought I would wear through it quickly, but I haven't. The molding near the toes helped me make a good, centered impression. They are significantly darker where I stand, and I haven't tested them with water yet, but otherwise it is a good sandal.

A little narrow, but nice -
These are gonna take some breaking in, but it feels like the effort will carry nice dividends. A little narrow for my foot, which I thought, up until now, was quite normal. I haven’t worn em all that much yet, but compared to my last flip flops (MEDIUM Tourists) they offer considerably more arch support. The soft material under my foot makes them feel sorta comfy and slippery. Not slippery like wet, but slippery like slippers.

I could have gotten the boots elsewhere, but I knew positively I was going to get them from Zappos because of the great experiences I've had with you in the past.
