Awesome boot. I'm a police officer and have had 2 pair. I beat the hell out of 'em on a daily basis. I had a pair for my numerous deployments in the military as well and they held up in the desert and in the mountains. Recommend this boot to anyone.

As some others have said, these run just slightly large, a half size. I normally wear 10.5 and I ordered the same size. I could have sized down to 10, but I chose to keep these so I could have the roomier toe box due to the slight larger size. Overall a great, super comfortable boot, so much better than a pair of BlackHawk Warrior Wear boots I tried out. Laces are super long (too long), but the extra length can be wrapped around the ankle at the top of the boot.

5th pair -
These shoes require very little break in. I work construction and wear my Oakleys about 12 hours a day. I also ride a Harley and were them when I ride.I wish they would waterproof them better, but all around they're great.

6' Boot, Desert, Hot Weather -
Superlative comfort, prohibitive heat retention. Deployed with these and they are the pinnacle of comfort, but even when idle, your feat will perspire excessively. I love all Oakley products, and they have remedied many early problems associated with the boot. However, it could afford to shed some weight if it can be done without sacrificing durability.

These are awesome, practical, comfortable, and versatile. They are like wearing a tennis shoe except better. I used to find that when I ran especially on rough terrain my ankle would twist, but these help prevent that!!! These rock!!!!!!!!

I was in the military for 8 years, and I wish I would have had these all along. If you are looking for a boot that functions like a shoe, look no further. They are a little expensive for not being waterproof, but they are at least all leather.

Very light and comfortable. Not a heavy duty boot, but if you are looking for something lightweight this is it. Just think of these as high top tennis shoes that are tactical. When I was in the army and stationed in Panama we had the jungle boots, which had a heavier duty sole. I wear these for most occasions, except if I’m going to be encountering some heavy duty terrain such as serious mountainous terrain or an extremely cold environment. Only wish they were waterproof, especially for this price. Most boots at this price are waterproof.

These boots are very comfortable from the moment you put them on, and very light on the feet. So far, no complaints with the overall quality of these boots.

So far so good!
First, I've got some very tender feet and I'm fussy about how they fit. I purchased these boots because of what I have heard about them. "Comfortable right out of the box" was what I was looking for and so far so good! I have a 32 mile backpacking trip with a vertical gain of 4000'. I've been wearing these boots daily for the past couple of weeks and they are proving to be as advertised. I do wear an inner non-abrasive sock with an outer wool blend hiking sock and it's working out quite well. No blisters and the insole is conforming to my foot. I'll let you know after the hike how well they fare.

Terrific boots - I'm not in the military and I don't really need these as work boots but I wear them nonetheless, and I love them. Very comfortable, very sturdy and they look awesome.

Unusually comfy -
Ordered three pairs of boots -- ASOLO Flame and the Adidas GSG-9.2s along with this pair. Neither of the former fit me. This pair in 9W fits my 8.5EEE feet unusually well and have hiked a few miles on concrete in them without any problems, but have not tried to kick in a door in them yet.

Better than my last pair -
This is Oakleys 3rd version of the assault boot. As before, they are about a 1/2 size smaller than marked. This was true with the earlier versions to ensure your foot would not slide around in them. This is the lightest boot of its type which makes them feel like sneakers. Comfort is a premium and the cushioned sole prevents fatigue during long wear. My last pair lasted about 2 years and these should do the same. The upgrade on this version seems to be that they grip well on wet surfaces which was a problem before. I wear mine every day.

Love the look and I have heard nothing but good things from the many people I know that have these boots. I felt that I had no support in this boot because of the width. They fit a friend of mine, he loves them - easy enough, I'll order a new pair of Lowa Renegades...

Expected more from Oakley -
Old fashioned lacing, I'm talkin' WW1-era, makes getting in and out of boot tedious; boots in this price range should be easy to get in and out of without sacrificing snug fit. Glorified tennis shoes, very thin leather; I walk all day as part of my work, I'll be amazed if these last 6 months. Like the aggressive tread pattern though.

Boot felt comfortable right out of the box. I felt I could wear it at work as a Law Enforcement Officer or I could wear them on my days off. Laces that come from Oakley are too long.

When first received, it felt nice. Fit like a glove, but as it got broken in, it got loose. Wish I could afford another pair. I’d buy one that was at least a 1/2 size smaller and went with the regular width. The terrain here takes a toll on your boots and you've got your boots on all day and the good part of the night depending on what shift you're on.

Great boots -
Very comfortable and rugged. The only downside to these boots is that they look a little much like a glorified Reeboks tennis shoe when work with BDU's. But comfort-wise they rock. Zappos was solid too, as I placed an order for these on a Monday and received them Tuesday morning.

Oakley SI Assault Boot -
Great boot. It feels broken in right out of the box. Size is correct. It fits well with a light weight hiking sock. Great overnight delivery. I am a prior service army man and would recommend these boots for any light weight duty. The tan ones look great with blue jeans and/or khakis.

Awesome Police Boot -
I recently purchased a pair of these boots for work. Another sergeant has had his pair for over two years and showed them to me. The soles looked new after over two years of service. I ordered my boots yesterday evening and UPS delivered them today!!! Out of the box comfortable and very good looking. Zappos has earned by business!

The Best -
I now own about 20 pairs of Oakley shoes and boots. These are some of the first I ever bought, and I will say that without any question at all, they are the best high-top boots (or ANY boots for that matter) I've ever worn in my close to 60 years on the planet. I'm going on 3 years of (mostly) winter wear with these, and they are holding up nicely. I try to save them for the nastiest days and days that might have the nastiest surprises. Find an Oakley size that fits you nice and it will translate to every shoe/boot they make. I freely admit to being a huge fan of Oakley shoes/boots. I've worn everything and my life/work are very "foot demanding."
