Love these shoes; just as good as the clogs - I had to order the equivalent size for 10 rather than 9 which is what I usually wear. Same size as clog however.

Dansko Maxine in black -
I had bought the purple ones and after a few wearings they are very comfortable. Needing black sandals, I ordered the Maxine in black. I haven't worn them enough times yet to break them in. The purple are much more fun, but once the straps on the black have stretched a bit, these should be fine. I have a wide foot, Dansko doesn't come in wides, but there are a few styles that work out OK.

Great arch support -
These shoes are very wide and the adjustable strap only allows for tightening at the arch of the foot and not at the lower portion near the toes. Nevertheless, these shoes are extremely comfortable and have wonderful arch support as do all Dansko shoes. These sandals go with everything...pants, shorts or skirts.

Looking for walking shoes in Italy -
I am planning my first trip to Italy and I was looking for comfortable, cute shoes to take on the trip. I love my new Dansko's! Zappo's was GREAT... I tried several different shoes and several different sizes. I wear a 7 1/2 and my only unfavorable comment is that Dansko only comes in whole sizes.. I needed to go up to an 8 in order to have the length. The 7 felt a little short. The shoe fits well. With the foot bed being leather, they remain comfortable even when it is hot. There is a nice arch support and nothing rubs to create blisters on heals or toes. Zappos shipping, service and returns were easy and very quick. I will definitely shop Zappos again!

A tiny bit disappointed -
I have had several pairs of Dansko sandals and I have loved all of them. I really like how these look, but I think I will go back to the Lolita style (which is similar but with a wider footbed). On these, the straps are a little bit loose and they hit my little toe in an uncomfortable place. I normally wear 6.5 B. In stapled clog Danskos I would recommend 37, in Golden Gate Dansko sandals, 36 tends to fit better.

Disappointing! I wear almost exclusively Dansko shoes but these were way too loose. The straps were an inch or 2 above the top of my foot and the adjustment on the strap did not tighten it up enough.

Fit very well. I have very wide feet and there is enough room for my toes. The size is true to the Dansko clogs and dress shoes I have bought. The leather is a little stiff and starts to rub when worn new for long periods of time, but I'm expecting that will improve.

Another great Dansko except for the glue mishap -
Love Dansko shoes, loved the comfort of this sandal. Instantly comfortable for walking in the city; no "breaking in" time. Unfortunately, the glue holding the leather foot bottom on the right shoe gave way and it no longer stays in place. Sizing note on Danskos: I wear 10.5 W and must always order size 42 in Dansko.

A Great Shoe!
A super comfortable and great looking shoe. I wear it with dress pants, shorts and jeans. My feet feel and look great all day long. Dansko shoes are well worth the price in comfort and durability. The European sizing system suggested going smaller if you ran an American half size. I did this and ended up exchanging my shoe for the larger size. By the way, Zappos customer service and speed of delivery are AMAZING!

Most attractive Dansko Sandal -
This is my favorite Dansko sandal. I have three pair of the Lolita, which I like, but the Maxine is even more comfortable and not as "clunky" looking as the Lolita.

What Shape is this??
First of all, where the straps meet the sole, staples are used and they are Quite visible. For $115 I think they could have made this less noticeable like in some other styles by Dansko. As far as size and fit...I have long feet and normally wear a size 11. If a 41 equals an 11, then Dansko doesn't know it. I sent back the 41's because they were too short, (although they fit nicely otherwise...??) and I got the 42. The 42 was a very confused shape. The strap which crosses under the buckle strap was so loose it raised off my foot about an inch and a half and my big-big toe still stuck out a half inch, uncomfortable and unattractive. Dansko apparently doesn't know how to make larger shoe sizes like ECCO does. Maybe if your feet are an average size these shoes will work for you, but big footed gals beware! Unless you've got a fat stump of a size 11 don't get this shoe.

What you'd expect -
I currently own 6 pair of Dansko shoes. I have terrible feet. They are flat and wide. I can stand in my Dansko for most of the day.

Very pleased -
These shoes look good and are conforming to my foot well. They were a little tight out of the box, but have broken in well with a few wearings. Arch support is very good for my high arches.

I needed to get a size larger than I usually wear in Dansko, but the shoe is obviously made foe "fat" feet. Too bad they only come in one width!

Comfortable & Cute -
I have Lolitas, these Maxines are MUCH more feminine and feel more stable. I wear a size 8 1/2, the size 39 fits perfectly. Be careful with the size or the arch support will kill you. My feet are a little bit wider than a "B", these were the perfect width and make my feet look small. They look cute without revealing too much toe (good for work) and I love the platform, it gives me a little height. I can wear them all day long. I'm buying more colors. Got compliments from other women on them.

I could tell that this shoe would be as comfortable and great looking as all the other Dansko's I have had, but it was not true to size. I have always worn a 39, but the Maxine was very short, and I had to return it for the 40.

Wah!
I got a pair of the butterscotch ones, and I'm so disappointed! The Maxine is apparently built for "chunky" feet, and unfortunately, mine aren't big enough to fill them! Only one strap on the top is adjustable, so the other main one on the top was way too loose and looked ridiculous. Also, the seam on the heel strap hits on the edge of my heel, and started to hurt just walking around my apartment. I like the way these look and wish they fit better!!!

Pleasantly surprised -
I have to admit I was reluctant to try this sandal because of the first review I read. I own several pair of Dansko Lolitas and I love them. I thought why should I make a change now. But because it is so easy to return shoes to Zappos, I bit the bullet and ordered a pair in size 39. I was very pleasantly surprised with this sandal. It has a great look and feel. And I like it just a well as my beloved Lolitas. Great colors too! I am thinking of buying another color.

Summer sandals -
This is my second pair of Dansko's and I'm in the process of breaking them in. They look great and are even comfortable on the first time wear.

Beautiful look and feel -
I am a shoeaholic and I love comfort shoes as well as stilettos. This is a cute shoe. Sometimes Dansko can look clunky, but not this one because of all of the straps. I had no problems with the sizing. Great colors too.

Way too small -
I have owned 3 other pairs of Danskos. I ordered the regular size that I wear (8 or 8.5 US) 38 b/c it said to downsize for openback. It is so tight and narrow. My toes are hanging off the edge, I double checked to make sure Zappos sent me the right size and it was marked 38. I even went to a store to try them on. I have the salesman measure me and he said I should wear 38, but after trying on the 39 they were still small. I ended up fitting the 40 in length and width but the straps were way to loose. So this will have to be sent back, I'm bummed because they are pretty cute and I was looking forward to a pair of sandals.

And I don't normally use teen-age expressions, but all I can say is OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! You rock!!!!!!!!!! Last week, I ordered shoes, and received one pair the very next day. The other shoes came the day after that. Sadly, none of them fit, and I had to return them all. Yesterday, I notified you of the return, printed out my FREE return shipping labels, and ordered one style in a different size. Today, I returned the shoes at a UPS store, and by the time I had returned home, my new shoes were on my doorstep! How do you do it? Is it a unique connection in the time/space continuum between your warehouse and Texas? However you do it, I am so impressed, and will tell all my friends about your wonderful, amazing service.
