I was looking for a shoe to wear with my orthotics that didn't look too "athletic" and was at least passably stylish. Looked online to see if people had been able to fit orthotics into Converse shoes, which many said that they had done successfully. Since my shoes arrived an hour or so ago, I have determined that it is possible, but difficult. The back half of the inserts that came in the shoes came out easily, but we had to pry the front halves away with a knife. That being said, once the insoles had been removed and the orthotics put in, these became the best shoes ever. They do fit orthotics easily once insoles have been removed. They are extremely comfortable with the insoles in place, and they are very stylish, unlike most shoes that accommodate orthotics. I did go down a half size as other reviewers had recommended (and despite the orthotics). I usually wear a 9.5, but I ordered these in a 9 and they fit perfectly. I love the black leather (as opposed to canvas); slightly dressier and much better insulated for winter wear. Well worth the extra money. Zappos is wonderful. I ordered these shoes a mere 21 hours before they arrived at my door. I received an e-mail shortly after placing my order stating that my shipping had been upgraded free of charge, which I greatly appreciated. The perfect shoes. Exactly what I was looking for, well-priced, and arrived insanely quickly. I couldn't be happier.

I bought a pair of Converse low top - white monochrome leather sneakers about 2 months ago. When I received them, they were fine. After wearing the sneakers 2 times (very lightly), I noticed that the side of the sneakers (between the rubber and leather) had started to come off. Now, it has been about 2 months since I had purchased these and had worn them about 10 times, I can no longer wear them because people might think I wear shoes with holes in them which is really the case. I have worn Converse for about 20 years, and this was the first time that I was let down. Maybe I got a bad one, but nevertheless, it was a big letdown and a big waste of money for me.

My "polished" Chucks -
I love these shoes. I got them last week and have been getting TONS of compliments. I'm a Converse/Chucks junkie so I know the fit really well. These shoes fit like exactly like other Converse and are super comfortable. The leather is really awesome but you should know that they're not a solid black. They look more like a dark chocolate brown. But they're still really awesome! A great addition to your Chucks collection.

Beautiful, but still Chucks.
Beautiful in the white. Compliments every time I wear them out, and I've only had them for two weeks. Normally wear a size 10 in other brands, but the 9 fit my foot the best (it's still a little bit too long for my foot). No arch support, and not the best for walking, but let's be honest - you're buying these for the look, and they look wonderful while still being reasonably comfortable.

Hip with Comfort!
I bought the "OX" for my 30 year old son who is a shoe fan and hipster. He said they are as comfortable as canvas Chucks which he wears always and have the edge of a bit more formality to take jeans to a meeting or any social occasion. He really loves them!!

Leather Chucks are great -
You can find Chucks anywhere, but not always in the color/style you're looking for. I got exactly what I wanted from Zappos, and it was quick, easy, and affordable. These are great shoes that will never go out of style. Don't buy them for a walk-a-thon, though.

Love it!
Love this shoe! Needed an all white shoe for my uniform and this shoe is both comfortable and stylish! I went with a half size larger, so I could put a liner in there as I stand for long periods of time and need a little more arch support. I love that it's all leather which is so much easier to keep clean. This shoe will never go out of style!

Zappos customer service is the best! This is the 3rd time I have ordered shoes from Zappos and every time I say, "Wow!" I ordered my shoes yesterday at about 5:30pm and by 7:30pm I had an email saying that my order had been shipped! It is scheduled to arrive today! It's unheard of to get free shipping and then it comes the very next day!!! As for the shoes, I love Chucks and the leather ones are easy to clean. I work in restaurants and they always look great! I think that they are really comfortable and I work 8 hours + on my feet, although, most of my friends complain that Chucks hurt. I love them and they are the only shoes I wear!

Converse White leather ox -
I mainly got this shoe because of the style. It's very popular. The leather stretches more than the canvas. Which means they do get a little more comfortable as you wear them. The width is on the narrow side as all converse shoes. The sizing is always strange. I normally wear a women's 81/2 and these are 71/2. If my foot was narrow I would have bought the 7. These shoes are o.k. for casual wear but not for serious walking.

Best Shoes Ever!
Really great shoes. My groomsmen and I wore them at my wedding. Felt great all day and into the night. I've worn All Stars all my life and will continue to do so.

The look of this shoe is great. I ordered them in white was very pleased with the fit and solid color design. I usually wear a 10.5 but with converse I always go a half size smaller and it fits perfect. I would recommend this shoe to any Converse fan.

Cute shoes, but buy insoles!
These shoes are supercute, but have very little arch support. I put some nice insoles in them, though, and now they're almost as comfortable as my Nikes.

I ordered a size 9, usually wear a 9.5, and I have a full inch of room directly at my big toe. The other toes are snug but just my big toe has that inch. I am stuffing newspaper in there as I type. Order a full size beneath your usual.

I love Chuck Taylors. My only gripe with them is that they don't hold up like they used to. I'm hoping these leather ones will last a bit longer than the last canvas pair I had. They look and feel great. I'm on my feet for a good part of the day at work and they have been very comfortable. Order a half size smaller than you normally would get. I usually wear a 12 in other shoes. 11.5 for Chucks.

I work in a Hospital where it is against policy to wear canvas shoes. These are just as comfortable as my many other pairs plus I can't get into any trouble!

A sturdier Chuck -
I like the looks of the canvas shoes better, but these leather shoes hold up MUCH better than the canvas ones. I go through the canvas ones in 3 months, but these are in great shape after 3 months.

Great leather tennis shoe. My only problem is that my three teenagers want both the white and the black pair. Zappos makes it easy to order, delivery is quick, prices are great and the free shipping makes it a no brainer.

Nice and comfortable just like the original canvas-
Like the title of the review and they're great for the winter because they're leather, warmer, and can stand the weather conditions better.
