I'm a big fan of Keen, but I'm on the fence about these shoes. I bought them for looks, and based on the reputation of the brand and some reviews I've read, I thought I would love them. Well, there are pros and cons with this model. Pros: very comfortable, even upon first wearing. I can be on my feet all day long, and they're not sore. Adequate arch support, and I get compliments on them from people, because Keen shoes, especially this model, aren't readily available where I live. I also like the generous amount of room in the toe box, it's one pair of shoes I have where my toes are free to breathe and roam. Cons: If you've read a lot of reviews on this product, you'll see a lot of people complaining about the fact that the upper delaminates from the sole. Basically, it's a roll of the dice; if you're lucky enough to get a pair that doesn't do this, rock on. If you're not (like me), it's an endless headache of continuously having to super-glue the upper to the sole about every 2 months, depending on how much you wear them. I had to do this after a few months with these shoes. Super annoying. I may/may not buy another pair of Keen shoes, because there is no excuse to pay this much for these shoes that require this kind of repair. Keen needs to re-engineer these shoes and figure out a way to sew the upper to the sole, or the problem will continue. Like I said, comfortable and stylish, but not worth the price with the amount of [potential] maintenance you're looking at to keep them in "operating" form.

I was hesitating to buy this great looking shoes for almost a year. Finally I decided to buy them and I am very happy I did. Great looking shoes. Great fit right out of the box; like a glove. I own a pair of keens similar to the Briggs and these are great quality shoes. You will appreciate their comfort specially when you have lower back issues. I will definitely recommend Keen shoes for those who enjoy and appreciate fine things in life. \r\n\r\nSuper fast delivery by Zappos. They upgraded my shipping order option (without me asking) to a faster one at no extra charge!. The shoes were in front of my door the next day.

The best endorsement I can give for the Briggs is that this is my second pair. As someone with a wide foot, the Blucher toe is a godsend. The shoe is very comfortable, the rubber over the toe helps protect the shoe (and toes) from the occasional clumsy kick into an obstacle, and they remain comfortable after wearing them all day.

There isn't enough space on this web site for me to say how much I love these shoes. Actually, I love them so much; I would be tempted to write a negative review so that no one else would buy them...so that I could have them all!! They're all great...except for size 10. Don't buy size 10 :-) No really. This is the second pair of this style that I've owned. The first ones lasted me so long, and wore so evenly, that I question how Keen makes any money off of them. The second set has some slight modifications but for the most part looks like the same style. Fits identically. When I put them on (and they're still new), I often forget that I'm not wearing the old ones. That's a good thing.

I love Keen shoes! This is my 4th pair. They are very comfortable and look good with Khakis or jeans. My only complaint is the soles wear out a little quicker than most other shoes I've owned. Also, the picture of the color on the Zappos site didn't quite match what I actually got (however, I like the actual color better than what was shown in the Zappos site photos).

I was looking for some light hikers that would take care of my feet and still have some style, and I have found them! I haven't had them very long, but so far so good. I thought I would need 10.5, but it turns out I needed an 11. The shoes are quite wide.

I'm a big fan of keens and the Briggs style is just about what I've come to expect. They are roomy, comfortable, and easy to wear right out of the box. I bought the black but prefer the brown because the black looks somewhat like a sneaker rather than a walking shoe. Also, the first pair did come apart at the sole, which was promptly handled by Zappos.

Very comfortable shoes! I wear them all day to work and I have to use Orthotic inserts. Keens are one of the few shoes that really accept orthotic inserts without making the shoe feel 2 sizes too small. The large toe box is a plus also.

I got a pair of these shoes for my birthday in the fall of '07 and while I like the style and comfort, they have not turned out to be very durable. Biggest problem has been the sole delaminating from the upper. This started happening after moderate use only 6 months after receiving them. The problem was rectified with a big tube of super glue, but for a pair of shoes at this price, that is completely unacceptable. The other thing I kind of didn't like was what an above reviewer posted, that they have sort of a "clown shoe" look to them. However, I received a lot of compliments on them; I think maybe they were just obscure and different. As far as comfort goes, great shoes. The wide, roomy toe box provides a lot of space, I always throw these on when I know I'm going to be on my feet all day/night, and when I am, I never get sore feet. So I guess as long as Keen addresses the delaminating issue (maybe redesign so the upper is stitched to the sole?) these are decent shoes.

I can stand in these shoes all day and my feet don't hurt. The soles are slip resistant, too.

I took these brand new to Europe and they served me better than the other pair of broken in shoes I took along. Highly recommended.

I am a courier for a major company. I am in and out of a truck at least a 100 times a day. I like it because my feet have room to move. They are waterproof ,which is a plus for me. I work in all kinds of weather conditions. Of course, shoes fit people in different ways, but I would have to say that these shoes work good for me and I would highly recommend them.

Comfy and ok to wear as casual work shoes -
This is my 5th pair of Keens. I like the style, great city walkers and good for day hiking. Note: The version of this shoe with nylon uppers did not hold up that well. The upper started to fray quickly. The leather holds up well.

This shoe is like a great fitting pair of jeans, you never want to stop wearing them, holes and all. I work on my feet all day and the total support that this shoe gives is the difference between coming home at the end of the day, laying on the couch in order to give my feet a break or coming home ready to go out and hit the town. I own two pair and the only problem I have had is the sole on the front part of the shoe is a little thin and I wore a hole in the first pair within months. Because I stand on a wet surface a lot, moisture crept into the shoes where the sole was breaking down and the shoes started to stink and I would have damp feet at the end of the day. Also, I would shout for joy if Keen would offer replacement foot boards, as they are the most comfortable I have ever come across that come standard in a shoe.

Zappos had the first order to me earlier than expected. Had to send these back to get a larger size, these arrived the next day after put in for the return - AMAZING. Great shoes, very comfortable.

This is my third pair of Keens. I have a pair of the sandals that I wore through Italy. My feet were always comfortable. Shopping zappos.com is easy!

Great pump! Very comfortable for such a high heel. I am a true size 7 and the size 7, in Camel, fit like a glove. I recommended this shoe to a friend. She now has 3 pair! This shoe will not disappoint.

Very Happy Mail Lady -
I am a mail carrier in VERY hilly Butte, Montana. When you walk as many miles as I do every day, you have to have a comfortable pair of shoes! THESE are them! I have had at least 12 pairs of these Keens over the last 4 years and have worn them every day. They are great in all types of weather, even on ice! They keep my feet warm and dry in the winter and super comfy in the summer. I recommend these shoes to all of my friends.

These shoes are so comfortable. The wide toe box is perfect for my Flintstone like foot. Usually I am an 11.5 wide (EE). But the standard Keen fits great and is my daily shoe. Incredibly comfortable.

Great look, great feel -
These shoes fit so comfortably straight out of the box. They can be worn with jeans or even dressed up. Ordered a size 11 and that is what my husband wears. I bought these because he was jealous of my Keen Portolas that I bought here at Zappos. We live at an APO, and Zappos gets our order here FAST! Awesome customer service.

Been wearing them solid for a year...
I bought this pair of shoes about a year ago after some severe foot pain. I got orthotics from the doctor, but nothing has helped so much as these shoes. I can stand on concrete all day in them, and my feet only start to get a little achy (vs. the shooting pains/limping about the place that I used to get). They've got plenty of room for the inserts (although sometimes I wear them without and they're still very comfortable - I dunno how the physics on that works, perhaps they're magical). They're also fun looking in a "I'm practical and a bit funky" sort of way. Big hit at the co-op. My only quibble is that the material over the toe (the dark brown in the shoe I got) is a little strange, it has started wrinkling funny in the last couple months, which makes the shoe look a little less nice. Also, the tread on the bottom is starting to wear out, but after enduring a year of nearly never being taken off, that's not too bad. I will be buying more Keens.

Hole in sole after one month -
Loved the shoes -- for a month. I walk about 3 miles a day and after a month, a hole developed in one of the thin membrane cushions on the sole.

 |  | I just want to thank you, and commend the customer service staff at Zappos. I just couldn't believe it when you actually kept me abreast of the certain pair of shoes I was looking for! Having a size 4- 1/2 foot, is very hard finding shoes. I could wear certain kinds of shoes such as boots, clogs, etc…but having to wear 3 heavy pairs of socks in order for them to fit! Well, they fit, but my feet kill me! Clogs such as the ones I purchased, seem to be more comfortable. I'm just hoping that they're not too big for me. I can’t wait to get them and see!
