Very comfortable!
I started walking to work every day - it’s about a mile and a half each way, and I needed comfortable shoes. This is the pair the comfort shoe store rep recommended, and it's worked out great. I can walk miles and miles in these without my foot hurting in any way. I think the look is a little geeky but cute- not exactly high fashion, but definitely beats wearing sneakers! It will get a lot of use again this fall/winter. Feels roomy with lots of room for toes to move, and its nice the strap is padded - so no rubbing. I have a low arch and this has moderate arch support (nothing too prominent), yet my feet do not hurt. I am somewhere between 8 and 8.5 and the exact size seems to vary on the brand and the shoe - usually it's a European 39, but in this I have a 38.5 that fits well. The sole has great traction, so whether you are walking on dry pavement or past a muddy puddle, you will not lost balance. Overall, very practical and comfortable shoe, good for extended wear and long walks.

Keen Sydney black size 10 -
These shoes are super comfortable with great arch support. They are practically the only shoes I wore for a year after receiving them from a friend who decided they were not quite the right fit for her. I've worn them everywhere, from walking miles on city sidewalks to light trail hiking. I typically wear a 9 and I'd say these size 10 shoes are about a half size too large for me. In other words, I think the 10 fits like a 9.5. For someone who is a true 10, I feel they might be just a bit short in length--so I'd recommend going up a half size in Keen Sydney. Different shoe companies seem to use different Euro sizing translations, and these are labeled 40.5, which I generally think of as being about a 9.5. My only disappointment with these shoes is that the elastic under the buckle wears out faster than any other part of the shoe. My elastics are so shot now that I have to send these shoes to Goodwill, even though every other part of them has plenty of life left. Still, I'd recommend Keen Sydney as a comfortable shoe for walking, standing or light hiking. It's even attractive--with shoes, how often do attractive and comfortable come together in the same package? I'd buy these again.

I originally ordered the Keen Seattle but found the style a bit too bulky. I had ordered a size 8 like a normally wear (I am right between a 7.5 and an 8) but they were way too small. So I tried the Keen Sydney in an 8.5 but it was too big! I finally ordered an 8 in the garnet Sydney and absolutely love them. Thanks to Zappos' easy return policy I was able to return the others and will probably be buying more in another color.

Another Keen hit!
My 8th pair of Keens....best fit for wide feet, and oh so comfortable. I own Sydney in 2 colors. They are a great addition to my sandals, water shoes, hiking shoes, work shoes, tennis shoes... etc... Zappos rocks, with the next day shipping and return policy. I am a very happy Keen-wearing Zappos customer.

Impossible Feet Find New Home! I can't believe these shoes -- they not only FIT my wide, flat, bunioned puppies, but they were completely comfortable from the first moment I had the pleasure of walking in them, and that comfort doesn't quit no matter how long I wear them. Don't hesitate -- these are fantastic shoes, and I will be purchasing more in other colors. One note: I usually wear a 9-Wide, but needed a 9.5 in this style, but again the standard width is perfect for me. Very happy!!

Great shoes - super cute -
I have a wide foot - size 10. These actually fit and were comfortable! I was really expecting to have to send them back, especially because I've tried on closed toe/heel Keen shoes before in the store and they were too tight. I have to wear no socks, thin socks or tights with them, but that works for me.
Thanks to Zappos for the prompt delivery and great sale price!

Sooooo comfy out of the box! Looks great, feels great...I LOVE IT. I have a bad back and I find I can walk around all day in these shoes with less back pain than other shoes, Good support and I get so many compliments on them. The garnet is a great red color. Wont disappoint and Zappos is a great place to buy. They never disappoint!

I injured my knee 2 months ago and since then have been wearing these shoes to work every day (and my Keen sandals on the weekend). They are so comfortable I walk much better with Keens on my feet. They look great on and I get alot of comments on them. Keens are wide in the toe area and that seems to work for my feet.
This is the shoe that brought me to Zappos - I saw them in a store but they didn't have my size, but I had to have them! I bought them here for less $$. Now I'm a Zappos convert -- great service, great selection! Thanks!

Incredibly comfortable and versatile -
I bought these the night before a trip to Amsterdam to visit my brother there last summer. I was 7 1/2 months pregnant and knew I needed something extremely comfortable. They fit beautifully from the get-go and I think they were essential to my enjoyment of the trip--four hours of touring the canal district and my feet were none the worse for the wear. I've enjoyed them with and without socks--they're designed to be anti-odor--so that they've worked for spring, summer, and fall. (I could wear them in winter too, but I tend to get cold feet here in Wisconsin and typically go in for more coverage when out and about.) I love the way I can dress them up or down, and have worn them with shorts, pants, and skirts. Also, with three kids under the age of 5 I love the fact that I can get them on and off without redoing the buckle every time--I had been concerned about this since my hands are typically full of something or other.

Comfy, but not for long distance walking!
I was so stoked to get these before my trip to San Francisco... as I wanted a shoe that was cute with every outfit, and also comfy enough for walking all over, sightseeing and such. My boyfriend and I stayed in a hotel 45 minutes from the city, so we took buses and shuttles everywhere, but ended up walking 5+ blocks every time a bus was needed. By the end of a 5 hour night, I had rubbed the back of my ankle raw. I had a footie nylon on, which probably didn't help the friction situation. I'll still totally wear these to school and out and such, but probably not substitute them for a comfortable walking shoe again. Just thought I'd inform potential buyers.

Love these shoes!
I love these shoes. Super-comfortable and stylish. I was able to wear them straight out of the box and have not had any blister or sore foot issues. They are really cute and can be worn with just about anything. I am planning on wearing these for a trip to Italy and I am sure that they will be great. I will definitely be ordering more Keens! Additionally, I ordered these shoes on a Wednesday and had them by Friday morning. Gotta love Zappos.com!

Even a skeptic can be amazed -
I have bought shoes and been disappointed with them more times than I can count. My feet are not comfortable for more than a few hours in anything but sneakers (very limited with my wardrobe) and some flip-flops (if I stay at home). It's a real problem walking any distance, both before and after my foot surgery.
I ordered the Keen Sydney and my feet are happy! No breaking in, even without socks; I finally feel like we can travel and I won't have to keep stopping to give my feet a break. They are so ugly-cute, kinda funky; I got compliments on them almost immediately, and can wear them with jeans or dressy casual clothes...perfect for work or a date with my honey!
I considered all the reviews. I normally can wear a 9 1/2 W or a 10 M. I chose to get the 10 M and they fit perfectly. Someone with a very high arch might do as well, but the strap gives some leeway there. I put these on at 6:30 am. It's 12 hours later, and I'm in no hurry to take them off. Because of Zappos generous return policy, I took the chance and ordered a pair of men's Keens for my husband, who had been looking for a comfortable shoe(pharmacists are on their feet all day). He was impressed with how quickly he forgot he was wearing new shoes! I will be ordering more Keens, and definitely through Zappos.

Keen Sydney definitely does run on the small side - believe the reviews. I first ordered a 9 because I am usually between an 8.5 and a 9, but they were too small. I exchanged them for a 9.5 and am very happy with them. I usually have trouble finding shoes that fit well because of my high arches, but the adjustable strap on this shoe holds my foot in place perfectly. The barley color turned out to be less yellow and more brown than it looked on my monitor (which made me very happy), and no break in time was necessary for these shoes. I ordered the first pair on a Friday night and didn't receive them until Thursday evening. However, I ordered the second pair on a Sunday night and had them on Tuesday! The return process was very easy.

My favorite shoes!
I now have three pairs of these shoes. I don't want to wear any other shoes---including running shoes! They have a slightly offbeat European look that I like.....I get a lot of compliments on them. I have one pair that is almost a year old and they still look great.

These shoes are very comfortable. I usually need a wide width, but these are fine (though I've only worn them without socks). The backs slip a bit when I walk, but I have had no problems with blisters. I will definitely order another pair.

Comfy, sporty shoes -
I just moved to the city and couldn't bring myself to wear sneakers with my skirts when walking to work (about a mile each way). These shoes are a nice compromise because they are definitely sporty enough for a hike but also look good with casual skirts and pants. The only thing I know about my feet is that my left foot is a 7 and my right closer to a 7.5. I ordered the 7.5 and they fit perfectly right out of the box, both with bare feet and socks. My feet also blister easily, and I was nervous because the top was slightly tight, but it didn't end up being a problem. The antimicrobial lining is NICE - keeps your feet really dry - though it chafes a tiny bit at first. I highly recommend these shoes.

These are one of the best shoes around. They are my second Keen (after the Montana) I bought. I first got a pair in garnet and after trying them on ordered another in black. Love them!

Terrific Shoe!
I've been wanting to get a pair of Keen Sydneys for quite a while, after having seen them on both my sister and a friend. I finally did order a pair right before leaving for a family vacation and I am just so happy with them. They are super comfy and just as cute on. There's just something about the mary jane style that makes them both pixie-ish and feminine at the same time. I have them in the red which is not what I would call a true red. It is much more of a brick/terracotta red, making it much more blendable with colors in your clothing. My sister, who wears a 5 1/2 EEE shoe, has a horrendous time finding a shoe that she can wear, but can wear these just fine. They definitely are a wider cut shoe; however, I highly recommend listening to the opinions of buying the shoe in a 1/2 size larger as they do run small in the length. Get them- you'll love them too!

I’m on my feet ALL day & love these shoes...this is my second pair of Keens & the only shoe I’ll buy from here on out...they're comfortable & offer wonderful support...plus they come in a variety of cool colors!!!! I have noticed that they run small & I need to buy a larger shoe than I would normally wear by about a half size...

Lovely shoes -
I'm working as a waitress, sometimes 10 straight hours on my feet. One of my customers recommended these shoes, and I didn't waste my time: I ordered them from Zappos.
I just love the Keen's style, "that's me", no doubt.
When I've got the shoes, I put them on immediately. It felt like I'm walking on clouds.
The next day I was wearing them at work - but I've made a mistake. I didn't give a break-in time and I was wearing them without socks, so the little edge on the back literally rubbed the skin off of my ankle ...
Keen - as you say it - means suffering from pain in my language (Hungarian) and it lasted for days. Of course, I didn’t even dare to look at the shoes for this time.
Then I put them on like 5 days later - without socks again - and an already heeled blisters were just itching, nothing else.
Since then on I'm wearing them every day - and of course I love them.
They have GREAT arch support, they are very cute ... awesome shoes!
My feet are 8.5, and I took the good advice (wisely): I ordered a half size larger.
I'm happy with my first pair of Keens!!!
About Zappos? For me they weren't too quick, but I really can't complain about the service!

Keen Sydney is Keen!
After reading most of the previous reviews of this shoe, I purchased the Keen Sydney in a 6.5, half a size up from my usual size 6. Thus, the shoes were a bit longer and wider than needed but fit OK and will fit tighter with socks. I think the half-size up rule depends on the type of sole this shoe has. I tried on a size 6 in brown (I wanted red and Zappos had it!) at a store but top of my toenail hit the top of the shoe, not comfortable. Thus, I ordered up the half size. However, I have since then received a pair of size 6 black Sydneys that fit perfectly and another pair of size 6.5 on a different sole that feel smaller than the size 6 ones. Anyway, back to the red pair! The diagonal edge of the top of the shoe that cuts across the foot was a bit stiff on Day 1 but by Day 3, the shoes were quite comfortable in all aspects. I wore them daily for a week and they are great for chasing around an active 5-yr old, driving, walking and shopping!
I now have five pairs of Keens: pink kid's size 4 sandals (yes, they fit my size 6 feet!), and three pairs of Sydneys in red and black. I am a teacher and look forward to wearing these cute and comfortable shoes often in the fall. My husband loves them too, in spite of knowing I have 60+ pairs of shoes, most of them black! :)
I am now a Keen and Zappos customer for life!

I'm and 8.5-9 in this shoe the 9 fits perfect. I bought the red, very comfy...no break-in time, very cute mary jane, I also have the Vancouver in blue...same comfy shoe, I really love Keens and Zappos.

 |  | I have never been a big online shopper until I recently found myself with little time to go out and shop. I was browsing around for some boots online one day and after noticing my boss frequently getting Zappos packages, I decided to check you out. I found some great boots but they were a tad too small when I got them yesterday. I was bummed thinking I'd have to wait several more days to get my boots but I ordered the next size up last night at 10:00. I woke up to an email this morning saying my shipping was upgraded to priority shipping free of charge and would ship out TODAY?! Not even twelve hours after I placed my order! I hardly had time to get the tape on the box to return the first pair of boots and my new ones should be on my front porch when I get home (I tracked them and they are out for delivery!)
