Pretty nice boot, but . . .
Please be aware - the laces on this boot are not functional - the front is sewn shut. This means that you can not tighten the laces to conform to the shape of the calf. If I had known that, I would not have purchased them, but now that I have, I must say I enjoy them anyway. "Forest" is a beautiful, rich green color and these boots make me feel like Robin Hood.0

Very attractive, unique-looking boot! I was concerned from the picture that the heel would be too clunky, but it was just fine once I tried them on. I have very narrow (13") calves and they are just slightly big around the shaft. I may get them taken in but could easily wear them "as is". They are unlined so an alteration probably would not be too difficult. They hug my average-to-narrow feet very nicely and are very comfortable. I'm looking forward to wearing these this winter. They are a beautifully made and finished boot.

What I can say? It’s a hot boot.
I had been eyeing this boot for awhile and when I was finally able to purchase it, it was only available in forest. This turned out to be a good thing. It’s such a dark green that it is really closer to a distressed black and the stitching jumps out nicely. Love the fit, but am going to have the legs taken in (something that people with small calves have to do sometimes!). Heels are perfect: not too high and not too clunky. Wish they came in red :)

Very unique boot!!
I love my boots. I get a lot of compliments and they're one of my favorites. I did have to have them stretched by the width (feet only) because they are narrower than normal.

I love these boots! Every time I wear them I receive tons of compliments. I purchased the espresso and found the color to be just as I expected- a beautiful, almost chocolate-brown shade. As far as comfort goes- I am a teacher and on my feet all day long. Not a single day have I gone home with sore feet after wearing these boots to school.

I love my boots!
I love these boots. I bought them for the style. It is everything I expected, after reading the reviews. For comfort, I had to put in a gel insole. These boots really need it. They do run on the narrow side, but I have narrow feet, so they fit me fine. The boots are not pointy, so they don't pinch my toes. And the heel base and height give me stability. I live in Manhattan and I walk everywhere in these boots, they just need time to break in.

Tight around right before the toe. I bought a size 8.5 and had to have it stretched. Length of shoes was fine. There is a seam that separates the toe piece from the rest of the shoe which rubs against your foot and is uncomfortable after long periods of wear.

Great looking shoe, pretty comfy-
This shoe is very stylish and pretty comfortable. The only drawback in comfort is a lack of padding in the front sole. The zipper is a bit strange. The boot zips up the inside but only to the top strip. The top is adjusted with the leather laces.
The color of the shoe is very soft, with an almost distressed leather look. It seems that scuffs will show up easily but that it will not detract from the overall good looks of the boot.
This boot is relatively formed fitting but not tight. I have had trouble with some boots not fitting my calves but these are fine. They are adjustable at the top so those with smaller legs should be ok too.
Looks great with skirts as well as rolled up jeans.

Awesome!
I recently purchased these boots in brown. Very comfortable - the best boot that I own! I have thin calves, but the tops aren't so big that I can't wear them. Great heel height as well. Definitely a stunning boot.

I just left a review earlier and want to add a note about the color of these boots. I chose "Espresso" expecting a dark brown. The color is unexpected. Depending on the light, it sometimes has a purplish/black hue and other times more of a dark grey. The color of the stitching is medium brown. I like the color as it's softer than black, but it certainly is not brown!

Beautiful boot -
After years of shopping for boots, I finally found one I love! This is the third boot I ordered from Zappos and finally kept. I fell in love with the look right away, a combination of style with an edge. When I first put it on, it was way too tight, more like an A or even AA width. But after wearing it for a while, it stretched enough to be comfortable. The one thing I would have liked to see is some padding in the footbed - It's very hard! You'd think that for that price, they could have added a little padding at least. I was able to get a very thin arch support which takes the pressure off the heel a bit. I am not used to high heels, but this boot is very stable due to the chunkier heel. I have thin calves and the top is a bit wider than ideal. All in all, I am happy.
Hopefully I won't have to stretch the leather each time I wear it!
