These are comfortable and well made. I've owned my current pair for over two years. I wear them to work probably half of each year. As to style, they're pretty much the "old brown suit": they do the job, but no one would consider them style-conscious. Very comfortable but the "bubble" feeling under the ball in the foot, never popped, as reported by some, and it didn't take long to get entirely accustomed to the extra padding. I consider these one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own.

Good shoe for sensitive feet.
I have little padding on the bottom of my feet. This shoe has helped a great deal with this problem; I can walk comfortably in these shoes. I like them very much.

This shoe was very comfortable and wearable from the time I first put them on my feet. I had been having numerous and various small injuries with my feet over the last couple of months. I decided to get new shoes to determine if that would help prevent these constant nagging injuries. These have done the job over the past month!

Shoe is comfortable for casual and dress occasions. My husband has never worn a Rockport before but is very impressed with it. One of the shoes has become squeaky. Is there a remedy for this??

I purchased two pairs of this shoe to replace similar Rockport models I have worn for years. I have had major problems wearing this shoe and have given up on them. I have a problem with the fit in that it applies pressure to the top of my foot and causes extreme pain. I purchased two pairs of this model shoe on my order and have the same problem with both pairs. I do have a very high arch, but have been able to wear other Rockport models without problems.

These shoes were ok, but a bit boxy and clunky. The big thing was that the leather started to separate from the sole just below the stitching on the inside of each shoe. I ended up returning them after only 6 weeks wear.

World Tour . . . Elite?
These shoes are clunky but very comfortable, and appear to be very well made, a nice shoe for the price. One issue I have with them is that they don't breathe as well as some shoes, it seems (my feet sweat more readily in these). The wide width is very welcome; there's no cramping whatsoever. However, compared to others I've tried, I think these are big for a 12. I don't know where the "elite" comes from, but it's just a name. Also, unfortunately these shoes, like almost everything I've looked at so far (over ten pair!) are from China. It would be great if Zappos had a category "not made in China", in addition to "Made in USA" (those are just too pricey for me).

Oh so comfy, but not the greatest in style -
I bought these to replace my Rockport World Tour shoes that I bought 2.5 years ago. I'm a college student on a really big campus and I managed to wear out (yes!) a pair of Rockports. I didn't think that was possible. They're a lot like my old shoes--really light, really comfortable, not necessarily a stylish shoe, but it looks good nonetheless.

The best thing about these shoes is that they fit -
They ain't beautiful, but they fit my 13-narrow feet. It's almost impossible for me to find shoes that are labeled narrow that actually are, but these actually are.
As far as comfort goes, they're fine. Not earth-shatteringly comfy, but the fact that they fit is the most important thing.

Rockport has a great product. All their shoes are top quality and feel good on your feet. I do a lot of walking on the job and the Rockport World Tour Elite-Encounter felt good the first day I wore them.

Need a Comfortable working Shoe? This Rockport is for You!
This review is coming for a guy that has been having foot problems for close to three years now. I had a pair of Rockport's for work that were about five years old. The shoes were worn in every way and it was time for a new pair. Well, the only way to go was another pair of Rockports ordered from Zappos. Both of these companies are #1 in my book. What a great pair!

Nylon lining a poor choice-
The interior bottom of this shoe is covered with a synthetic material instead of leather. Consequently, there is a problem with sweaty feet. Too bad because in every other respect the product is very comfortable.
I bought a pair for a month of traveling in Europe and
(Except for the noted problem) found them to be great travel shoes for the comfort-oriented traveler.

My husband bought a pair of Rockport shoes years ago and has refused to give them up now that they look not so great. In buying these new shoes he has been thrilled and wears the old ones less and less. I doubt if he will ever give his old ones up. The new shoes are great! Thank you. . .

A Most Comfortable Shoe -
My Rockport Tour Elites are everything advertised, comfortable and stylish. The fit was good. I have only one issue with them: they don't breathe adequately for my feet. Consequently, my socks tend to get damp, and in cold weather that means cold feet, and I've tried various types of wool, cotton and synthetic fiber socks. Perhaps there is another model that would be better for me.

Good fit, very comfortable-
I've been having a very hard time finding a shoe that fits well for my very narrow feet and looks decent with business casual attire. This is pretty good- not as dressy as I'd hoped to find, but very comfortable. The shoe is lightweight, seems sturdy, and- most importantly- seems to actually be as narrow as listed.

Completely satisfied-
I have had the shoes for 3 weeks. Now and I love them. It took about a week for my feet to adjust to such a quality shoe but I have nothing to complain about. I have been an avid tennis shoe wearer for years and never knew that I could find such comfort in a shoe of this kind. I will be buying and wearing this shoe for many years to come. So if you’re sitting on the fence, go ahead and give this shoe a try because I have no doubt that you will be as happy about this purchase as I am. I might add that I have high arches and this shoe has great support.

Overall, A Very Good Shoe.
I wanted a durable dress shoe, one that would last me a few years and wouldn't fall apart after a few months of wear. I'll admit that I'm unusually hard on shoes, plus I have a wide foot which makes it hard to find shoes that fit properly. I've only wore these a couple of times so far, but I'm very pleased with what I purchased. The fit is excellent. The real test for me as of right now is still unknown, because if they can last me a couple of years, I'll be very pleased with them. Only time will tell about that, but, as of right now, I'm completely happy with them and will most likely buy another pair of Rockports in the future.

As advertised! I am on my feet 12 hours a day and would not hesitate to get another pair. Combines with the Zappos service, (I got them in two days instead of 4-5) they are a fantastic deal.
