Uncomfortable but stylish boot -
The zipper is awful...hard to even get your leg in the boot the first place. Also after you get it on the zipper pinches awkwardly at your ankle, making it too uncomfortable to even sit around in. Other than that, Zappos' return policy is awesome and shipping was very prompt.

Buckle fell off -
Great looking boot that feels pretty good on the foot. My only complaint is that the buckle fell off one shoe the first time I wore it. I ended up cutting the other one off for the sake of symmetry. Still a great deal.

Nice Boot -
This is a great boot, exactly what I was looking for, style-wise. I bought the cognac color, which is not too orange-y as I thought it might be, it's a nice soft brown. The leather is supple and not shined. Looks like they will break in nicely. I do have problems with the fit though. I am very slender and have very narow feet. I ordered a half size smaller than I usually wear, which is perfect. But unfortunately, the calf is big on me, even with jeans tucked in. Because they dont have much styling, they look kind of like galoshes on me because the calf is so big, my leg just swims. I bought these mainly to wear with jeans tucked in, but also hoped to wear them with skirts. I am planning on returning them because they just look kind of silly, I wish they had fit though because they really are a beautiful pair of boots! For other small-calfed skinnies- try a different boot.

Beautiful boot...tucks into jeans nicely. Very versatile. However, as other buyers have warned they do pinch the ankle. With thicker socks it is a bit better, but I am hoping they continue to improve.

Sarto Esquire Boots -
The boots are very nice. I looked at a lot of boots because I detest high heels and finally I came across these. I got the cognac color and that was fine but the finish of the leather is a bit dry looking so I put neatsfoot oil on them and I like them much better now. The style is exactly what I was looking for. They're plain but the way they are put together is nice quality with a classic look. I'm very pleased with them and I would choose them again if I had it to do over again.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: This is the first Sarto shoe I've purchased but I like Dansko, Merrell, Ecco and Naot.

Very flattering -
I love this boot. It is stylish and elegant at the same time. My only problem is that the zipper area pinches a little down by the ankle but with a thicker sock, you don't feel it as much.

Nice Boots -
These boots are shiny, are made of soft leather, and feel like a great quality boot on. They are comfortable, although I had trouble tucking jeans/pants into them (the current trend). I am fit & average size (8) and they are pretty tight around my calf! The detail at the back is classy and tasteful. Scuff the soles before walking on smooth floor/carpet- they are slippery!

I was kind of hoping the heal was just a bit higher--I should have know better because it was well noted. Other than that they are beautiful.

They look better than they feel-
I was very excited to receive my Esquire boots. I was pleased with the speed of the delivery but disappointed with the comfort of the product. I bought these boots to walk around a major city and I ended up putting running shoe inserts in them to make them more comfortable. In addition, the side zipper on the right foot digs into my skin just above the ankle making them less comfy than I had hoped... but they look nice.

These boots are comfortable, and low-heeled, knee-high dress boots are hard to find this season. I wasn't thrilled the buckle detail on the top of the shank. It snagged my hosiery when I crossed my legs. I was contemplating how difficult it would be to remove the buckles when my decision was made for me. The stitching in the right buckle strap unraveled, and the while thing fell off during my first wearing. It was a simple matter to remove the other one.

Cool Boots-
These boots are comfortable, and very cool looking, with their round toes, and hip geenish-brown color. The soles are substantial and will be great for those dark days of winter without feeling "cloddy". Great with jeans or long skirts.

Great boot!
I love these boots. They look great and are extremely comfortable. There was no breaking in necessary; I took them out of the box, put them on, and walked around all day. Of course, Zappos service was excellent.

Once again, wrong calf size -
This is a very nice boot. I saw it on the Today Show and ordered it right away when I read on the site that the calf was 16.5. I couldn't Believe my luck. Well, sad to say, the calf was nowhere near 16.5. It wasn't even 15.5, which is the width of my right leg (left is wider, due to an injury). I had to send them back. I would love to see an equestrian style comfort boot with a wide calf. I actually am an equestrian and I have riding boots that fit nicely. Wish they could do the same for fashion boots.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: The Vander Plus was as wide as advertised. However, they have a heel and I would like something flatter.
