Bought these shoes to get married in! Went well with Tux! Converse usually makes shoes larger than others. Leather shoe has good workmanship to it. Would recommend to others who are used to Chuck's.

I bought these for my son who needed all white sneakers. They are super soft leather, very comfortable & true to size. If you love Chucks, you will not be disappointed! Plus, you can't beat Zappos customer service & free shipping!

I was stoked to have found black leather Chucks. I\'m sure, like always, they will look better with wear and tear (and the tip and laces won\'t be so white). You can\'t really tell they are leather yet but the cracks and wrinkles should be showing soon. I always add support soles for Chucks...they have no arch support whatsoever. It\'s amazing they were originally made for basketball.\r\n\r\nOf course always buy a size or half size smaller. Chucks RUN BIG!

As original as Coca Cola. As American as apple pie. The question is why. The answer is because I got tired of my Puma's going out of style in a month with the latest and greatest Puma replacing the one I just bought. With Chuck Taylor's, problem solved. They've been making these forever and they are exactly the same. Don't expect them to win any comfort awards, though. The midsole is paper thin with zero arch support. You'll feel every pebble. Here's what you do to get the perfect fit. Fellas, listen to this advice. 1. Go get your feet measured and use the larger measurement of the two. Everyone has one foot that is slightly larger than the other. 2. Order the shoe 1/2 size smaller than this measurement. 3. Go to Rite Aid or CVS and buy the thick Dr Scholls sports gel insole (the one that has a plastic arch support). Voila. You now have the perfect fit with a comfortable insole.

Important details to consider before buying -
First let’s get the facts out of the way. Zappos shipped & I received in two days...great service! Shoes arrived and I would strongly encourage you purchase a full size smaller than your regular sneaker size. Plus understand that saying its leather is correct, but there is no arch support and it’s really canvas with a very thin covering of leather. Also, and this is important to me, the "Chuck Taylor" logo is positioned wrong...as it’s only on the inside of the shoe as they are worn. The pictures on Zappos are deceiving as the show a standard "right" view which shows logo on the outside as it should be. It’s bad enough they (Converse) decided not to include a logo on each side of each shoe as they always did over the years...but to only include on the inside not only looks silly, but defeats the purpose of buying "Chucks" to begin with. If you’re over 30 years old you understand what I mean. It’s a shame, I love the concept, coloring and the shoe itself, but it's overpriced for what it is. I really hate to return both pairs.

Nostalgic Chucks -
I like the look and fit of the leather and canvas shoes. The only concern I have is that the sole is already beginning to separate from the leather upper with just a couple days of light wear. The canvas ones usually took much longer. Wear supportive insoles if you normally need them. They work well in these shoes.

Nice Shoe -
Ordered the chocolate brown color. Changed the laces to my liking. You might consider doing the same. Besides that, no grievances!!! Remember, leather needs to stretch, so wear them for a while to figure out if the width is correct for you.

My Experience -
First off, I have to say that Zappos is the only online shoe store I use that has the most variety in styles and sizes. Zappos next day aired my sneakers at no extra cost to me and that was awesome. Thank you! Ok, my review on the Converse All Star Hi All Leather - look amazing, as for comfort, that's my biggest complaint. They barely have any cushion or support. They are very low to the ground, but I recommend that you buy some type of inner soles like jellin or something with support. Now I'm enjoying them again. Thank you Zappos for being the best online shoe and accesories online superstore.

Never thought I'd be into leather.
I've been wearing canvas Chucks for about 15 years and have worn every pair 'til they've practically fallen off my feet. Back when they were less it didn't matter if they didn't have arch support and fell apart after two months. Now though, the pricing has become outrageous and the quality hasn't improved a bit. These leather Chucks are a godsend though. I just purchased my second pair. I'm still wearing my last pair which I purchased two years ago! I will never buy another canvas pair again. The leather may be more expensive, but like I said; Canvas = 2 months and Leather = 2 years. You do the math. Do yourself a favor though and buy some insoles.

2nd review. Have worn them for everyday use for nearly a year. Lot's of standing and walking at work. My feet often hurt, and after adding some gel inserts, they alleviated a lot of that problem. Use them fairly consistently for light hikes, and mt. biking. Again the GORE TEX, though not considered important when I bought them has come in handy often. I love the lacing system. Construction is great, wore out the soles while the upper is still solid. A good looking shoe in black. Although I never spend this much $$$ on shoes, I'm buying a 2nd pair, this time in green.

I purchased the black/multi colored shoes like this. I saw them on this site but they only came in youth sizes and I was pretty upset so I wrote the person and charge and they told me that youth comes in 2 sizes smaller than women which I really appreciated, I wear a 7.5 in women so I purchased them in 5.5 I was nervous because I thought they'd be too small but the fit just right. The delivery felt fast to me. I will DEFENITELY be ordering my next pair of shoes from here. I also fell in love when I saw them on here but when I received them they looked even better.

People wore these to play basketball?
Marketed as the granddaddy of basketball shoes...but don't expect these to wear comfortably. I didn't get these to play basketball; I got them for nursing, seeing that they're one of the only shoes on the market with an all-white option that doesn't look terrible (white is a requirement). I got them in a ten (I wear elevens in other shoes) and they still felt simply huge. Also, if you have wide feet, you may want to reconsider your choice of footgear. Pardon my French, but I was pretty darn surprised how uncomfortable these are.

I bought these shoes to wear when I want to dress things up a little, but don't want to go in full dress shoes. What could be better than leather Chucks? They fit perfectly and feel really good while wearing them. Glad I got them!

A Classic in Leather -
Purchased two pairs of these "Chuck's" in the all black leather: one for my boyfriend and one for my brother. Both absolutely LOVED them. They look as laid back, classic and casual as the canvas versions with the addition of being just a bit special because they're all leather. I also own two pair of low tops in red sequins and graffiti print, and I love those, too. An All-American classic shoe perfect for kicking around on the weekends.

Great shoe.
Got them in white monochrome, definitely better than the regular canvas ones. Size down a half size from your regular shoe size.

Another pair of Chucks??
Not just your ordinary sneaker ... it's a 'leather Chuck' ... stylish and comfortable ... yes, I'm wearing Chucks at 55 ... grew up with originals ... and still wearing them today ... I currently have six pair and this is the first pair of leather ones ... need to keep them away from my two sons, aged 26 & 24 ... they were over the other day, rummaging in my closet and saw them ... and the leathers remained at my home ... great price, great service ... less than 24 hours from ordering they were at my door. Keep up the great work ...

These are a great shoe -
I bought these for my son as he wears his canvas version 24/7. I wanted just a little dressier look for "special" occasions. These are great. The leather is buttery soft and he said they are actually more comfortable than the canvas!

Outstanding shoes -
These shoes are great. I bought black monochrome. They look great, they fit to jeans perfectly. I received some compliments on these shoes, they're sexy. They're quite comfortable but I wouldn't recommend them for a long walk.

Zappos is the best, their price was the best, they had a quantity in supply and the delivery came 2 days later. I shopped locally and the price was higher and some did not have any in stock. I bought these to ride on my scooter. They look exactly like regular Converse shoes, but the leather provides more protection than canvas.
