Bostonian Danvers -
The Danver is a good looking shoe that should probably be worn for occasions that would be considered a bit more formal. I found the shoe to be uncomfortable - even though I have worn around the office for several weeks. It appears to be cut smaller than other Bostonians I have purchased in the past.

Outstanding Dress Shoe -
I am now looking to replace my first pair that I purchased about six years ago. I was drawn to the high gloss shine. They really look nice and I have received so many compliments. Over that period, I have shined them twice with great results. They still look great, but the sole has worn out. Another thing this shoe boasts is a great sound when walking. It sounds like a quality dress shoe. I would recommend them for anyone in a professional workplace or to wear when you want to dress better than most.

Sole separated rather quickly with little wear -
I like the look of these shoes and the fit and feel has been pretty good, but the leather sole separated on me rather quickly which is very disappointing. I have been wearing the shoes less than 6 months and only occasionally during that time frame (maybe 2 times a week). The soles should not separate with this little wear!

A quality shoe...
This shoe is well-made, very comfortable, looks great, and is value-priced. Don't hesitate to order the wide width (if needed). I did, and they fit great!

Satisfied -
I ordered these to replace same shoe I had finally worn out after two years. Change in sole from last pair changed look slightly. Size remains true - stretched and comfy in a day's time. Service was fantastic - received in less than 24 hours - not sure how they do that, but Zappos rocks!

No-shine shoes -
I really like these shoes, but shouldn't they be advertised as no-shine shoes? It seems that this would be their main selling point. I have owned a couple of pairs and find them very easy to care for and keep looking good. I tried shining them once and that didn't add much. I wish this site listed other "no-shine" shoes so I could easily select more in other styles if they exist. I would appreciate Bostonian responding to my email address and telling me which other Bostonian shoes have a similar "no-shine" material. Thank you for your great product.

Shoes -
The shoes are very attractive, but they fit to snug. My husband usually wears a 9 1/2 D, which I ordered. The shoe seems to run small.

Great shoe at a good price.
First pair of Bostonian's I've purchased. Shoes are all I expected them to be. Well-made, attractive and comfortable. Can be worn casually or with suit. Shoes appear to be true to size. Needed slight break-in period for max. comfort, but not too bad. The sides are cut a bit higher than other shoes I own, but not to the degree it's a comfort issue.

 | | Didnt know where to send a note to the full staff so Im putting it here. I havent shopped Zappos for a few years (how many Birkies can one gal wear at a time)! Ive hunted and hunted for boots. Not much call for tall boots in the Phoenix area, but the styles changed this year so I wanted to get with it. I hate going to stores so I tried the internet, thought I found gold, but ended up returning because they were too loose or too tall or too short. The light bulb went off and I came back to Zappos and they had calf and height measurements listed - what a brilliant idea!!! I found black suede and grey leather and I had them at my front door a day later! How much better could it get: both pairs fit!!! Please post this for all employees so they can know their efforts are very much appreciated... you all could teach the rest of the corporate world how it should be done. Thanks again, Kirsten O. | | ~ Kirsten O., October 29 2009
