I use these shoes for every type of outdoor work and they are very comfortable. I like the style because they do bot go over the ankle. And the steel toes are a great safety item. The soles have great grip.

Overall very good, I wear it all day at work, and it's a great alternative to cumbersome steel toe boots. One drawback: the footbed has a 'saggy' feel to it, so it may lack in comfort for those with high arches.

Great Shoe!
Out of the box this work shoe was a great fit and feel. The tongue was uncomfortable at first but after about 1/2 a day it was broken in. The all day comfort of these shoes is great also; I'm not so fatigued at the end of the day. Would definitely purchase again!

Buy these shoes!
I've worn Caterpillar's Pursuit Steel Toe shoes for years now. They're outstanding. I promise you, they're as comfortable as any men's walking shoe; plus, you won't even notice the steel toe. Incidentally, don't bother looking for a better price elsewhere; Zappos beats them all!

Not only did I get these, but I also got the Worksport OX and the Interface and they are all magnificent shoes. They fit great and they last forever. Love these shoes and Zappos was A++ all the way.

Oh yeah!
Of all the steel toe work shoes I have used (6 so far) these are my favorite.
When they became available the Zappos notice came and I ordered them right away.
The shoe is comfortable, looks good, has sufficient padding and great tread (look at the photo of the tread) no slipping on wet epoxy (painted) coated floors again!
I had them for 2 weeks and they still feel good (sprayed with boot silicone to help keep them looking clean).
They are a little bit heavy (they are NOT a tennis shoe “they are a steel toe work shoe!”).
Compare the weight to other steel toe shoes, they are acceptable.
The next test is the “wearing out of the sock right at the top of the big toe” test.
Other shoes I have used (Skechers (twice)) would rub a hole in the sock (ruining multi pairs) but I am confident that this will not happen (it feels smooth inside at the toe).
I will purchase another pair again in a year (company pays for one pair per year- safety first)!
These are the shoe for me (No more Skechers).

Great shoe...
The great thing about ZAPPOS is you can order 2 pair of different sizes, return the pair that does not fit as well, at no cost. The CAT PURSUIT are really comfortable, lightweight and are a pleasure to put on for 8-9 hours a day. The WIDE, are not as wide as some, so keep that in mind. All in all though a great shoe, would buy again.

Good looking steel toe shoe, match with the color our pants -
For one thing, this shoe matches the color of our working pants. I like the steel toe, and pointed upward toe. Good looking sneaker type steel toe shoe. I like the back of the shoe, it kinda protect your feet when trying to pull wagon or something and it get bump to the wagon your tying to pull. My only con is that the laces got loose quickly. My shoe size is 8 but its way too big for me, kudos to Zappos for free shipping returns.

Wow!
I'd been wearing leather boots to work, but my feet were sweating too much, and the shoes broke down very quickly. As soon as I put on these shoes, I loved them. There is great arch and heel support. My feet can breath, and I'm not having any problems with sweaty feet anymore. I have no more pain in my ankles, like I did with high top boots. You can't go wrong with this shoe. They're lightweight and incredibly comfortable. I will definitely buy another pair the next time I need work shoes!

Very comfortable from day 1 no break in required. On my feet 8-10 hours a day these shoes are very very comfortable. Love doing business with zappos great company, and no I do not work for them.

I bought the shoe for my son, he had previously had a shoe similar but I couldn't find the exact one that I wanted to give him for his birthday. When he received them I explained that I couldn't get the exact one that he had had before, which lasted an incredibly long time, but he said they are great and he liked them as well as the old ones, even tho they had a steel toe which he had not had before. I will order again.

THESE SHOES ARE GREAT!!!!! I had looked high and low for a pair of steel toe shoes for weeks of not being able to find a pair that I like or that supported my ankles. I finally decided to look on-line and Zappos.com was the first place I looked. I couldn't beliebe it Zappos.com had my size available and even though I ordered them to be delivered in 5-7 days Zappos.com overnighted them to me at no extra charge. I actually work at the Zappo's.Com warehouse in Sheperdsville, KY and I'm constantly walking on concrete and climbing stairs for 12 hour shifts pulling orders. I purchased a pair of the Caterpillar Pursuit Steel Toe shoes at the outlet store there and was going to wear them to work for a few days just to break them in, but now i wear them everyday. I had no idea that they would be so comfortable and lightweight, I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone that is looking for the safety of a steel toe and the feel of a sneaker.

New on Vacation -
I received my shoes the day before going on vacation. They felt so great that I wore them as my walking shoes.
The vacation was in Apia Samoa where walking is mandentory. They are great!

I am a remodeler who gets into everything from heavy demolition, roofing, concrete, plaster stucco, ect. My boots take an extreme beating.
I have a pair of cat fission steels that have lasted 3 years under those conditions and are still going!
I wanted I pair of work shoes for those easier days but they still had to be tough. I have to agree with the other reviewers, the shoes are top of the line, I spent 8 straight hours on an extension ladder the first day I wore these and my feet survived.
I would love to see a hi top version of these.
The fit is exact.

I read previous reviews about these shoes prior to purchasing them. Upon receiving them with the ever so fast shipping that Zappos provides, they fit like a glove. The tongue was a little rough to breakin but that was minor as to the feel and wear that these shoes afford.

These are darn nice shoes. I wear them everywhere I go, work school, out in the woods, everywhere.
My first pair lasted 2 years, and once they were worn out I decided I should buy another pair.
I would have given them 5 stars for comfort, but they seem a bit tight at first, but after a week they fit perfect.
Overall, you can't go wrong with these.

CAT Pursuit is a good shoe -
This is a good quality shoe. My only regrets are that it does not come in a wider size. The generic W size is still a bit tight for me and with a steel toe that is noticeable by the end of the day. Going up a half size puts the arch in the wrong place on my foot so I need the EE width.

I loved the light weight for being a steel toe, and they are so comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was that with such a soft feel , the bottom rubber doesen't last as long as I thought it should, other than that, wonderful shoe!

This shoe has proven to be comfortable and durable so far. The shoe does run narrow in the front, and if you have even a slightly wide foot, get the wide size.

Value can be measured quality over price... these shoes have great value... I strongly believe that these shoes do measure up. I am enjoying these shoes in Switzerland, rainy and slippery terrain, and a lot of walking. These shoes are great from walking to working. They are not heavy as one might think, but of course are not as light a one would like them to be. Nothing much to say except that I recommend them.

 |  | I love your Company and have ordered several things. I am dealing with kidney cancer and am always looking for red shoes to make me feel happy when I am getting chemo. You have always been able to help me. Your staff is amazing and last month I ordered a pair of red sandals and just recently received a box filled with little gifts to make anyone feel better. Your team member also sent me your 2008 Culture Book with a beautiful note. I have been reading all the uplifting notes that many people wrote in the book and can't believe that there are so many wonderful people out there. I also worked for a company who had core values that we all had to follow, but when I got cancer, this health company did nothing to help me through this time. They recently stopped my disability because they said they only allow two years. I am now going to live on my social security of $1,400.00 per month. I sent the CEO a letter requesting an extension and was told they have done all they could for me. My Chemo pill alone costs $6,000.00 per month and I have to stay on the expensive Cobra so that I can get it. Soon that too will expire. I just know that I have such high regard for your company and Zappos. Thank you for being who you are and I wish I was close to Las Vegas to visit your place and thank everyone personally.
