This is the perfect boot!
These are beautiful boots, and from reading all the reviews below, I was able to order the perfect (for me) size. I wear a 9 1/2 medium - ALWAYS. However, from the reviews I ordered a 9W and they fit perfectly. If you have a really wide foot, these boots are probably not for you. I have never done anything but "walk out of" a wide shoe, but these are really a medium, in all respects.
Zappos is just unbelievable. I ordered these at 7:15 p.m. CDT last night. When I got home this afternoon a little before 4 p.m. - There were the boots on my porch!! I could hardly believe my eyes. Kudos to Sudini for the look and feel of the boots, and the same to Zappos for their unparalleled service and delivery.

This is my fourth pair!
I have worn them nearly everyday for the past 2 years. The first two wore out and my puppy chewed up my third pair. Tons of compliments (from men!), waterproof (perfect for Seattle), and go with everything from nice pant suits to skirts/jeans. Not high enough heel to aggravate my lower back. I hope Sudini keeps making these great boots because there isn't anything else out there like them.

Gorgeous boots, comfy too!
These boots just arrived today and I'm very happy with them. Nice quality and they look great. They are slim fitting and hug the calf so they fit under jeans very easily. The heel is low enough to make them easy and comfortable to walk in, plus the zipper makes them so easy to get on and off. I ordered my usual size and they are just fine--not too long or too short. Beautiful boots! Zappos service is the best, too! My UPS carrier said she sees so many Zappos boxes that she's quite familiar with the company.

Happy with my purchase -
The heel is low enough to be comfortable, and the leather is buttery soft. I think the top of the boot must be on the small side because it fits my calf well and usually boots gap on me. I've been looking for a long time for a black boot with a low heel that's still dressy enough to wear with skirts and day dresses--the toe narrows a little, giving this boot a sleek look. Right after I ordered it, it got warm here so I haven't worn it for a full day, but it feels like it will be fine.

I saw the boots in a store first and fell in love with them. I ordered them through Zappos, as the store didn't have my size. I just want to say I love the boots. They feel amazing. I always receive compliments for them as well as from other people - so what a better deal. They are worth the price, believe me.

Throttle decent for wide foot -
This is a good boot for a wide foot. I had almost given up finding anything. Plus the calf is narrow, about 15 inches, not sloppy. I have a high instep, and I need the wide front though the heel is too wide and slips on me. The leather is pretty good, not great. Comfort is okay, but I will have to buy a superfeet insole if I am going to stand up in them for a work day.

Attractive boot, worth the purchase price -
Sleek low-heeled boots that look good w/ jeans, skirts, whatever. Slender toe comes to a narrow round-- not quite a point-- overall effect is that they make your feet look very streamlined. Comfortable to wear, though mine (6.5) required stretching to accommodate my feet, which are on the wide end of the range of normal. Elastic goring on tops helped accommodate my beefy calves, which normally take a 15" circumference shaft. I know most people say the boot offers "moderate arch support," but I don't actually feel much arch support at all-- I'll probably use an insole w/ better support. I should say also that although the boots required stretching for width, they came naturally roomy in general terms, and I *generally* take a 7. These boots run large for their marked size!!

The toe length seems to run a little long so I ordered 1/2 size down; I wear a 4 1/2, ordered a 4, and they fit great. They look just like a riding boot. I just wish the heel was a better quality; it's like hard plastic or something which makes it a little slick on tile if you step w/ your heel down first. For the price, it's not bad for a low heeled boot. It does have a good padded insole.

I found the boot to be rather plain looking in real life but at least the calves weren't huge like most boots! The foot width and length seemed a tad large and would probably work well with socks. Nice for a "plain" boot but I'll send back because not what I'm looking for.

I like them a lot.
I ordered the Sudini Throttle boots and was very nervous about the fit and whether I was going to like them. I got the boots and yes they do run large, however we get very cold and snowy winter weather, so it’s nice to be able to wear thick socks. The first time I wore them I knew I had made the right choice, they are classy, sexy, and made extremely well. They were out of my price range, but they were worth it. My husband likes them too.

These are not vinyl inside they are leather.
They do feel longer than normal and if you have skinny ankles the base will be baggy, but they fit like a true riding boot. They look cute with skirts and dresses - I haven't decided if I'm going to keep mine because he gave me an "n" saying they were narrow in the LEG, when it seems like they are just a narrow size. I have a wide foot and they still fit well - beautiful leather. I'm not sure I've settled on them though.

Very narrow fit and all vinyl inside -
The boots seem to be completely off the regular size chart. It's a full size longer as other reviews described and also a full size narrower. For those of you who truly need a W size shoes, this w is not going to work. Also hate the fact it's all vinyl inside. Your feet won't be able to breathe at all. The sole is also very cheap looking.

Great heel height, easy to walk in, ran true to size & width. The shaft was tight on my calves
so it did not move with me walking it just stuck.
I didn't keep it because of the tight shaft and there were spots on the leather of the boot that looked discolored, for the price that didn't seem right.

Lovely boots!
I so am glad my guy bought these for me---just got 'em yesterday. When the box arrived, I was surprised but had to try them on. So I went right from jeans and running shoes barefoot, stepped right into them and zipped them on, no socks. I took him to dinner and I got many compliments in them, wearing a black dress. Very sexy and comfy, unlike pumps...love them!

This is a great boot. I read previous (very helpful) reviews for this product and opted to buy a regular (medium) width in the 8.5. My foot is narrow and between 8.5-9.0 in length and I was delighted to find that both the 8.5 length and medium width were the right choice for this boot for me. I have a narrow calf (~14 inches) and the calf fit is snug i.e., no room to tuck in pants. The boot is very comfortable and the style understated but cool.

Great boot, weird fit -
On the advice of the other reviewers, I purchased these boots in a half a size smaller. They were way too tight! I went back to my normal size (9) and they fit fine. Yes, they are a little long and narrow and the shaft is a bit tight. But they look fantastic . . . the perfect flat equestrian boot!

These shoes are so beautiful but the fit is weird.
Ok, here is my experience. I ordered these in my size and they had about a full inch to inch and a half extra room in the length. I ordered a half size down and wide they were still too long. I then ordered a half size down again and in wide and they were too tight (not wide enough in the ball of the foot area and also not high enough so that the top of the boot was pressing on my foot).
The main problem with these boots is that they are too long. If they had been the right length, they would have fit me better in my regular size. These shoes are about a full inch too long so if you order a smaller size, make sure to get the wide width to compensate. If you have to go 2 sizes down, the wide width may not be wide enough if you have wide feet like me. Too bad they don't carry double wide.
So anyways, I kept trying to get it right because these boots are incredibly beautiful. Well, I figured it out. Instead of returning the too tight boots, I took the thick insoles out and am using thin ones. Suddenly, they fit! (Still slightly tight but no longer unwearable tight) I am so excited! Love love love these boots. If you are lucky enough to find the right fit, they are incredible, especially in the chocolate brown color.

I received the Sudini Throttle boots about 3 weeks ago and have worn them several times since. I'm very happy with the fit and comfort of the boot, as I have bunion problems and often have a difficult time with comfort. The boot fits true to size, and the wide width gives me just enough extra room without feeling "sloppy". I have a slender calf, so would have like a tighter fit around that part of my leg, but am very happy with the boot overall. The color is great, and they work well with both skirts and pants. Also, I am again impressed by Zappos service- they are wonderful!

Gorgeous but not the right fit -
I was looking for a pair of dressy snow boots, and thought I had found the perfect ones. The shaft was too tall, WAY too narrow, and the boot runs a half size too big. I couldn't get my jeans into this boot. I am a slender person, average size, so this boot is just funny. The look is beautiful, though, and it was so sad to return them. Sudini makes beautiful boots, high quality, and at a competitive price, considering they last so long and are so nice looking. On to the next Sudini model!

Sudini Throttle Part II -
Here is the sequel to my previous review. I had to reorder this boot 1/2 size smaller, and once I tried the smaller size on, I was very pleased. My feet are flat, and just a little on the wide side, and the boot was very comfortable in the foot. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the slightly higher heels than those on my old Sudini Randys, but they're still only an inch and a quarter, and I found it really didn't bother me, because the boot otherwise was so comfortable. Having fairly large calves, I found the boots to be a little tight in the calves, but I was just barely able to get them zipped. Although the boots are elasticized at the tops, I did have to be a little careful not to pinch my skin into the zipper around the top. As I mentioned in my previous review, I feel confident the leather will stretch with wear, as was the case with my previous Sudinis. In addition to being very comfortable (for a brand-new pair of leather boots), they are also very nice-looking, so I decided to keep them, since I managed to get a better fit the second time around.

Nice boot, as usual for Sudini. I have an old pair of Sudini Randys that I've had for several years and have absolutely loved. They have been very comfortable, and are still pretty nice-looking. Just this year the soles started wearing out. I may get them repaired, and continue to use them for casual wear, but I wanted a newer pair of boots for nicer occasions, so I decided to try these. However, when I ordered the same size I've been wearing for about 25 years, I found they felt about 1/2 size too big. (My old Sudinis were true-to-size). Also, I have large calves, and I found they were a little tight around the calf at the top. However, they are elasticized, and I was just barely able to get them zipped. I liked the boots otherwise, and my Randys were like that when they were new, too, so I'm sure they would stretch out with wear. I don't think the style is as pretty as my old boots, but they're pretty nice-looking, so I'm going to try another pair a half size down.
