I purchased these for my teenage son for a hiking trip. They were immediately very comfortable, soft, easy to break in. He has feet issues and was able to use his inserts without any problems in these. They were great and the look is great, unisex.

Great boot perfect fit!
I listened to the other reviews and ordered up half a size. I would recommend that as well. Great looking boot not too rugged or man like! So far very durable!

Great boots -
Comfortable all day right out of the box. I have poor arches and these boots made me forget about my feet. Wore them in Yellowstone and they kept my feet warm and comfy. Love this boot! They look good, too.

Two Days of Hiking -
I was thrilled with the boots. They arrived the night before I was leaving for my trip to Colorado and they fit perfectly. I didn't have any time to break them in and went hiking two days in a row. They were very comfortable and I did not get any blisters. I did get sore on the front of my ankles--I'm use to living in sandals. Also, I used wool blend hiking socks with a liner sock, so that probably helped.

As Always, Zappos Saves the Day!
My wife had to lead a group of 24 girls to a camp about 8,500 feet above see level. In all our preparation we never managed to get her hiking boots. Reading the reviews for Hi-Tec, owners claimed that they required little or no break-in and were very comfortable. Both statements proved true for my wife. The boots were used for miles of high-altitude hiking, and a ropes confidence course. As far as service, we ordered the boots on Thursday, they arrived on Friday, and she started wearing them on Saturday, and didn’t take them off for the next week. The price was as good as any local shoe store, even better because we couldn’t find the boot locally.
Once again Zappos sets the standard for online retailing.

SUPERIOR SHOE-
The best shoe you could ever buy. Great look. Fit comfortably the first time out. No break-in time. No more hammer toes if you have them. Enough room for your toes to lay flat. Go up one size- a full size smaller than marked. Width is perfect. Worth every penny. Sturdy- will last a very long time.

Best Motorcycle Boot I Own-
I know it's not a motorcycle boot, but it works great and even better when I get off to walk. No break-in period. Zappos service is the best!
