Best Flat Ever -
I have had this shoe for over a year now and still wear it the most. Over time it does seem wider now and the padding has broken down but I would get the same shoe again. It still looks great.

Great looking, comfortable loafer -
Very comfortable & looks great with work clothes or jeans. My only complaint would be that I would prefer an all-black shoe rather than have the brown/burgundy trim.

Fit well. Stiffer and more dressy than pictured. Will take a little breaking in. Nice square toe. Definitely a loafer. I wanted a cuter style, but for comfortable shoes in a size 12, I can't be too picky.

Watch out, people with high arches -
I have very high arches and, therefore, am tall between the bottom and top of my foot, but I love the loafer style--naturally. I've found that Softspots does very well with width and style, and doesn't even make the heel enormously large on wide shoes, but it doesn't allow extra room from top to bottom. What it means is that it takes a few wearings with trouser socks to stretch the leather so that that area is truly comfortable all day. This holds for all of their loafer styles. If you're willing to do that, they're LOVELY shoes. If not, I find Sofft and Clarks both widen the shoes and widen that area from top to bottom.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've had in years. I took them to Europe recently and they turned out to be the only shoes I wore while walking miles daily. The width is great (I have wide feet and bought a wide width), the insole is very padded and soft. Liked them so much I bought them in brown too.

This shoe is beautiful and very comfortable. Unfortunately I will have to return them. The lining is suede and makes it so difficult to put these shoes on. You can't just slide into them because your socks stick to the lining. Then when you finally get them on the socks are pulling against your toes! Odd for such a well made shoe. I think they would be fine worn with no socks or with a thin nylon type sock. But regular trouser socks won't work. I saw another review mention this but I didn't pay attention to it. Too bad. These are lovely shoes. Finally I can't say enough about Zappos. I ordered these shoes late on thanksgiving and they arrived by 1PM the NEXT day. Unbelievable.

Great choice -
My foot is long and wide. I have a terrible time finding shoes that are comfortable. This pair is just that. I was even able to wear them sight seeing on a recent trip and had no pain at all when I got home. It is sturdy and holding up well. Softspots are my new favorite shoes.

Soooo comfortable, but dowdy!
This shoe felt so good when I put it on, but it looked too dowdy with slacks and jeans. I got it in the 6WW for my flat, wide foot with a high instep. I had to return it because of the look, but I would definitely try other Softspots shoes!

Comfortable sturdy shoe -
I've been wearing the same pair of Manhattan's for two years now. I walk during my lunch hour along the bay in San Diego. Thought I should invest in some "real" walking shoes but switched back to these after a couple days. Very, very comfortable and sturdy. Although they have stretched out about 1/2 size. Have to use insoles to keep them on my feet now. But I can't complain after all the miles I've put on them. The wide width is perfect for my C/D feet.

Great professional choice -
Solid, comfortable and very cute looking with both black and brown trousers. I got the black with the red/brown strap. Feminine but not girly, just as I prefer.

Stylish loafers for a wider foot -
I am forced to buy wider shoes because of foot problems. This pair of shoes fits the bill without looking wide and clunky. They are also very light. That's just one more plus.

I have no arch and I had to have custom orthodics made for my feet. I've had a terrible time finding a shoe that fits my wide foot and the orthotic until now. This is the most comfortable shoe ever. It's roomy where it needs to be and tight where it should be! After reading other comments I ordered a half a size smaller than normal. It fit good at first but stretched some and is a little big now.

Not for a small foot -
I wear a size 5 and it's hard to find shoes that don't run big. But my toes were against the end, even though the heel was loose. It was also too wide for me in the arch area, didn't have enough support. The toe area also looks wider than it appears in the pictures. This was a return. But Zappos, as always, is great.

This a great shoe if you have to be on your feet all day. They did stretch out more than I thought they would. Order 1/2 size smaller.

The Perfect Fit -
I LOVE THEM! I have a small wide foot. My husband calls them 'Flinstone feet'. I have never had a pair of shoes fit as comfortable as these. I have gotten so many compliments on them because they are a classy shoe. I will be seeing a lot more of Zappos that's for sure.

A Winter Review -
This is a nice-looking shoe and mostly comfortable. However, due to the memory-foam insole, I would not recommend these shoes for warmer weather. If you have ever slept on a memory-foam mattress pad, you know how it holds in your body heat...now imagine that in a shoe. It's winter here as I write this, but even with the cold weather I still find my feet getting hot in these shoes. I also don't like how the memory-foam insole is starting to wrinkle up a bit from the movement of walking, which makes my socks want to bunch up (never a good thing). Memory foam was a fine idea, but it really should not be used in a shoe unless there is another barrier between your foot and the foam. Having said that, the leather upper is comfortable, the look is decent, and the arch is perfect for me (which is unusual), so I'll continue to wear them on occasion, just not in warm weather.

Can't Say Enough -
I love these shoes!!! The fit is perfect...so comfortable. I think they are very stylish especially for "sensible" shoes. Get many compliments and I plan to order another pair. True to size with probably a little more wiggle room in the toe area. Well structured shoe!

I could live in these shoes -
It's too bad that half my wardrobe is too dressy for these shoes. I'm ordering them in another color so they can go with more of my pants. Then I'm ordering more pants to go with the shoe. This is a nice wide toed shoe, nothing frumpy about it. Plenty of room for a winter sock.

Over-rated Comfort Shoe -
I love the look of this shoe. However, the size runs long. I ordered a 1/2 size shorter than I usually wear, and it was still too long. I've put 2 pairs of heel pads in and the heel slips to the point of hardly being able to keep the shoe on my foot. The toe box is not high enough even though it looks like it would be. It rubs on the tops of the toes, probably because I have to curl my toes to keep the shoe on my foot. I love the color and style of the shoe, but the fit is way off, and it just keeps getting larger as I struggle to keep it on. I wear heavy socks which helps somewhat. Nice looking shoe, but WARNING: it is not true to size. I really wish I had worn it around on carpet for awhile. I definitely would have returned it.

The first pair I got was too small, so I did the return & reorder thing online on a Tuesday night. Around 11 the next morning, my replacement pair was delivered, and I was able to give the return box to the UPS guy - pretty handy!

These are the perfect all around shoe. They fall solidly in that difficult space between casual enough for Saturdays and sophisticated enough for workdays. And so comfortable you'll want to wear them every day. A great shoe for anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet.
