Columbia Fan!
My last pair of Columbia shoes lasted 7 years! They're durable, comfortable and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Columbia, in general, makes great reasonably priced camping/hiking shoes.

Great shoes!
My boyfriend and I both bought a pair of these for a trip to Costa Rica last month where we did a lot of hiking and walking. They really didn't need any breaking in and proved to be an awesome purchase. We loved the look (I bought the green ones and he bought the brown ones). But, more importantly, they were very comfortable and supportive and great for hiking and climbing rocks. They were awesome shoes for our outdoor adventures that didn't require just sandals. I liked the low cut shoes because they were more maneuverable in tight spaces than high tops. I am considering looking at ordering the high top version also, because there's a place for those too in outdoor life... and I love these shoes. Do order a 1/2 size larger than you wear... you will find that most people on this site recommend this and they are right. They do get a little hot, but we were in the tropics, so...? We really enjoyed these shoes and recommend them highly!

Comfortable Hiking Shoe -
I was looking for a comfortable shoe for quick hikes through the woods with my dog. I don't always feel like putting on hiking boots and sneakers don't offer enough support over rough terrain. This shoe is perfect: rugged sole, good toe protection, and very comfortable. As always, Zappos service was fantastic.

Good looking Shoe; Vickie Abilene TX.
I bought these shoes to wear on my Alaskan Cruise in May. I can say when I tried them on they felt true to size. Also, what you see is what you get. It looks just like the picture. I can't honestly tell you how comfortable they are because I haven't really worn them yet. I must say Zappos works magic when it comes to delivering their merchandise. It was less than 24hrs when they got here. Way to go!

Great shoe!
This shoe was comfortable from the start and that is not always true for me with shoes. I also like the low ride; I hate shoes that hit the bottom of my ankle. I have worn the shoe several times already and would highly recommend it.

Good shoe -
These are nice basic hikers. I like to wear hikers with jeans when the weather is cooler and these are good for everyday casual wear. They run small, I had to get a 6.5 and I wear a 6. They are comfortable and you could even wear them with medium or thin socks and be okay. Will probably keep your feet warm during the winter with only one pair of socks because these tend to make your feet very warm. These hikers are fairly nice looking, but I would like to see them in more colors and perhaps a more square toe. Overall a good shoe at a moderate price.

Order one size up!
Wow! After reading all the reviews I got so confused over what size to actually order. I usually wear a size 5 ½ in a boot to be worn with socks. They were much too small. These definitely have the short toe everyone is describing. I then exchanged for a 6, which fit me fine. I don't like a real thick sock, BUT if you usually wear a thicker sock and like lots of toe room then order a full size larger.
Despite all the sizing issues, they are actually very comfortable. No slipping and it feels a bit wider than other boots, but in a good way.

Awesome hiking shoes -
Comfortable but a little warm. They are comfortable shoes for any weather. They are very comfortable. I ordered a half size bigger than my actual shoe size and they were perfect. I ordered these shoes around 12 noon and the next day (less than 24 hours), I had my shoes. Great service from Zappos!!!!

Pleased as expected!
These shoes were for my 12 yr old daughter and in anticipation of a 9 mile hiking trip. She wore the shoes a couple times prior to the trip. The shoes fit great and caused absolutely no discomfort during the hike! I have a pair of Columbia Hikers as well and have been extremely pleased with them over the past year.

Overall, I'm very happy with the shoe. I have a lot of trouble finding shoes in my size. Most of the time I can wear a 5. In cheap shoes, I can go even smaller into kids' sizes. Interestingly, I wear a 5.5 in this shoe. They're nice and roomy, but seem short on the toes. Something to keep in mind...

If you are looking for a comfortable shoe for nice weather GET THESE SHOES. If on the other hand you are looking for comfortable shoes for warm weather, do not get them, they are very warm. VERY comfortable, fits like a glove, true to size and width, great price and as always, great service from Zappos, love the next day shipping!!!!

Thanks Zappos -
This shoe runs "at least" a full size smaller than marked. I'm sending it back. They're very stiff and I'll shop here for something less stiff.

Very disappointed -
This is the second time I have bought this brand of shoe and am very disappointed. They are not only too small but significantly too small. I would say 2 sizes. My first pair was great and lasted a long time. Hope this is not a sign.

Comfort!!
This shoe is true to fit and width. It accommodated my orthotics without any problems. I love how comfortable it is to wear. I put them on the first day and never looked back as far as having to "break them in".

Great shoe-
Love this shoe!!! They felt great right out of the box. Super comfortable. They seem to be smaller than marked so order a half size larger than you would normally wear.

They work for me -
They were great right out of the box - wore them all day the first day doing household errands and took a long walk. So far they feel great.
Seem true to size to me. This is my second pair of Columbia hiking shoes and I would buy them again.

Bulky looking shoe with no arch support -
I got this shoe based on the reviews shown, but was very disappointed to find it made my foot look like a boat from above and had no arch support. The good things were that the shoe had a lot of squish in the ball and heel. I got the green color but it actually looked more like light brown, which I thought was cool.

Very nice -
Warm, and dry. Seemed a little small at first in the toes. I usually wear a 9.5 but got a 9 because thats what my other Columbians were. But the more I wear them the better they get. Nice to have for winter weather.

Couldnt be more pleased!!
The fit and look is exceptional. I love my new Razor Ridge shoes from Columbia. Keep in mind they run small so order a larger size than normal (at least by 1/2). I found out the hard way, but ZAPPOS shipping and return policy is awesome!!! They couldn't make it easier, and I did it all from my computer, except physically dropping the shoes off at UPS.

Great outdoor shoe -
I love this shoe! I'm always a little leery about buying shoes online, but with Zappos and this shoe you can't go wrong. I wear this shoe everyday for my job which is long hours outside in the Florida weather (lots of rain), and still love this shoe as much as I did the first day I put them on. They fit very true to size and are well made (very durable and waterproof). They needed very little breaking in, if any at all.

 | | Wow. You guys and gals *rock*! :-) I placed an order yesterday afternoon (Thu, 10 July 2008) at 4:13 PM EDT - or, 13:13 PM PDT, as shown on the acknowledgment email I received for the order. Your web site clearly states that orders placed after 1 PM Pacific time will be processed the following business day. That's cool. My order went in "too late" for processing yesterday. Anyhow, I opted for the free, regular shipping, so I expected to receive my shoes sometime around the end of next week. I guessed around Thursday. I checked the UPS tracking number earlier today and was astonished to see that the package had made it from your facility in Shepherdsville, KY to the UPS regional delivery center in Edison, NJ by 8:45 AM this morning (Fri, 11 July) - even with UPS indicating a delayed flight and late arrival into the Garden State. Since there was no "out on the truck for delivery" mentioned in the tracking info I expected the shoes to arrive on Monday since Big Brown doesn't deliver on Saturday. I even called the UPS toll free line to inquire. The rep said that she didn't see the package listed as out for delivery today and I should receive it on Monday, 14 July. She apologized, too! I'm home from the office today, so imagine my surprise when the doorbell rang at 2:30 PM and I looked out the upstairs window and saw the UPS delivery guy punching stuff into his hand-held device and climbing back into the truck. My shoes were on the porch 22 hours and 15 minutes after I hit 'send'. That's service with a capital 'S'. :-) I have to confess that I ordered the same shoes (different color) on Saturday, 28 June from an online competitor. They also offered free (ground) shipping, but the price of the shoes was $4 less than the Zappos price. Those shoes finally arrived here on Tuesday, 8 July - and
with hardly any communication from the company to help me (no tracking number provided), I started to inquire about the package at USPS the day before it showed up. Obviously, I really liked the shoes and decided to get them in another color. I immediately went to Zappos.com and you folks had the shoe in more colors (all in my size) - so I bought *two* more pairs! :-) I didn't mind that they cost just a little bit more. I knew from past experience with Zappos that the shoes would arrive more quickly and that I would be satisfied with the delivery service. I didn't have any idea just *how* satisfied I would be until the doorbell rang a little while ago! Forgive me for the temporary lack of judgment and disloyalty I repent, and I'm back to stay. :-) So, a big thanks to all of you - especially to the person who picked and
packed my shoes a few hours ago out there in Kentucky, then whisked them off to a UPS plane so that I can wear them today. Here I sit, typing this email, green sandal on my left foot, tan sandal on my right, trying to decide which pair I'll wear this evening. If only *every* decision we must make in our lives were so simple and delightful. Thanks for the
"dilemma", Zappos team. ;-)
