I\'ve always wanted a pair of Birks but was hesitant because of the cost. One day I decided enough was enough and took the plunge, and I don\'t regret it for a second! After reading the reviews and taking their sizing recommendation to heart, I got my Birkenstock Boston Soft Footbed in Taupe and in size 39. A week later, my shoes arrived and I was so excited to get them on! They felt a little roomy, but Birks emphasized room for the toes so I didn\'t worry about it too much. They are super comfy and now I wear them every day. The shoes are especially amazing after a night of wearing heels! You\'ll love them, trust me.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I was a little worried about fit because of my wide feet but they fit perfectly. I will definitely be buying another pair from Zappos.

Bought shoe for Grandson\'s BD as he requested. Came a little short for him but had no trouble exchanging. The replacement came in only one day. What service. He wears them all the time---great shoe.

I purchased these for a middle school child. She keeps talking about how soft they are to wear. She has had this style in the past, but not the soft footbed. She is a huge fan. Her orthopedic doc was so pleased to see her in supportive shoes, not flip flops.

These shoes are GREAT! Comfortable, and go with everything! I couldn\'t be happier. I have not taken them off, wear them to work, errands and even walked for miles on recent trip and couldn\'t believe how comfortable they are. Will definitely buy another pair!

I wanted these shoes for years and finally invested. They are great except that you really have to work with your toes to keep the darn things on your feet! At first I thought it was a size problem and that mine were too big, but I went so far as to exchange for the next size down and that wasn't it. It's just the way they fit. Very loose and the band that holds them in place across your foot is quite far forward for my foot. I even tend to trip. As long as I keep them on for short distances, I'm all set, but I couldn't wear them for walking around town at any length, which is disappointing. I love the way they look and the comfort for short distances is just fine.

Excellent shoes. Ultimately comfortable. Better yet Zappos had a great price and delivered fast. Make sure to order the right size; Birks have to be fitted with enough room to conform correctly. The Zappos fitting chart is on the mark. Thanks!

My order arrived very quickly. I ordered the brown and black in the same style and I am very happy. Birkenstocks are one of the few brands that I find comfortable and this style was hard to find locally so I had to order online. Even thought they are suede, I sprayed them and they are fine, water beads up.

I'm expecting a baby in January, and as my Birkenstock sandals got me through the summer in comfort I decided to order the Bostons for the winter. The new soft foot bed is amazing! I have a no shoes in the house rule and I've been breaking it because they are better than slippers! I had to order a size up from my sandals, so you might want to take that into consideration if you're planning to wear with winter socks. Awesome shoe!

I injured my Achilles tendon, so now I'm on the hunt for comfy, heelless shoes. I thought I'd give Birkenstocks a try. These shoes were comfortable and slipped on easily. I should add that as a tall, thin woman I ordered the narrow and the regular; the narrow fit much better! However, I couldn't get over how ducky these shoes looks on my long feet. Comfortable, but silly looking with my style of dress. The two just didn't mesh.

I have had these shoes before but they were lost in a move so I replaced them. These are the best Birks ever. I love the color and the style of them. Just be careful not to get them wet.

I wore my khaki Birkenstock Boston Soft Footbed for a good 3-4 years and they were super worn in. I love these shoes, they're the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. They haven't changed the style for 30 years and there's a reason for that. Boston Suede Softbed are the s***!

I have tons of Birks! I bought these to wear for the winter here in Japan. I love them; they are so comfortable and they just look cozy and comfortable. I always get compliments on all my Birks and my kids love them, too! They love theirs! Enjoy.

Birkenstock Boston clogs/shoes are wonderful. I highly recommend them. Bostons are very comfortable. No break-in was needed. I was able to wear these shoes for 9 hours straight out of the box. I ordered my regular Birkie size and the fit was excellent. Boston = Comfortable, Zappos = Service.

Duck feet, but comfortable -
I bought this shoe to help with my foot condition called Morton's Neuroma, and as far as that's concerned, it helps a lot! Plus I also have heel spurs too, and it helps with that also, but they are not cute or attractive in the least. But when you have as many problems as I do I’ve learned not to be picky. Birkenstocks do take some getting used to. There is a breaking in period, and you can develop blisters from that, but after they feel great and really support my feet like no other show can. I will be buying more! And thank you Zappos for the free OVERNIGHT SHIPPING! What a god send for people with problem feet!

These shoes are awesome. I highly recommend the soft beds over the normal ones. The narrow width fits me great! I like to wear these shoes with jeans with or without socks.

They are sooooo comfortable!
This is the first Birkenstock I have bought with the soft bed. OH MY GOSH!!!! They are sooooo comfortable barefoot or with socks!!! They not only feel great, they LOOK great too! I sprayed them with a Scotchguard kind of protection and I expect to wear and enjoy them for a very long time to come!!!! Now I want another pair in a different color!!!! The trick is knowing your correct size. They tend to run large.

Birkenstock Boston Soft Footbed -
I have chronic Achilles tendon pain, and cannot wear shoes with a heel. These clogs are great! They are very comfortable, and with slacks, look almost like "real" shoes. The soft footbed is very comfortable, and this shoe is wide enough for my size C width feet. I would like to be able to purchase the same shoe in a smooth leather.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Crocs are OK for more casual wear, but don't look as good as the Birkenstocks.

I have a pair of Birk sandals that I've had forever. I wanted something w/ a closed toe. They required almost no break-in. They felt great to start. I am so glad that they come in a narrow. That plus adjustable strap makes them a perfect fit.

Wore Crocs to work every day until the tread was pretty much worn through! Needed some new shoes, and thought I would try Birkenstocks again (had the double strap sandal back in high school) to see if it would help w/ my lower back pain and plantar fasciitis. I bought the wool w/ soft footbed for work and loved them so much, bought the tan suede for wearing around town. The soft footbed is absolutely incredible. All Birks should have this option! My only complaint is that the rivet/grommet on the inner part of my wool clog ripped out. I think it's just the material...since the wool is so much softer than the suede. In the process of getting it repaired now. Overall, comfortable, functional, very well made shoe. Highly recommend and well worth the money!

Love the soft footbeds -
There is virtually no 'wear-in' period for any the soft footbed Birkenstocks I have owned. I wore a new pair to walk around a city sightseeing and had no problems with them. I recently got a Boston pair because I wanted a sandal substitute for colder weather. I got what I asked for: Birkenstocks comfort plus warm toes. They feel just like my Floridas. I did have some issue the first day with the side suede by the strap folding under my arch, but that stopped happening within that first day. I purchase Birkenstocks in size 37 narrow and normally wear a US 6.5 medium width.

Perfect slip on shoe -
Soft upper, soft footbed, great arch support, wide toe box. Super construction. It fits on the large size because of the width. I wear a 9EE in New Balance running shoes and a size 41 regular width in these.

Love birks for work!!!
I work 16 hrs a day 3 days a week, before my birks I wore tennis shoes and came home with giant swollen, sore throbbing feet, now that I wear Birkenstocks to work, I have no swelling, no throbbing, and no sore feet. They are amazing! I will no longer wear anything else to work.(p.s -I’m a nurse on her feet all day)

Birks Boston -
I wanted something to slip into when I come home from work. The Boston does the trick with added bonus: the cork bed is comfortable and supportive. Even with the open back, I can still go up and down steps if I am mindful of what I'm wearing as the contoured cork bed helps retain the shoe. I am completely satisfied with this shoe for the purpose that I bought it for. However, I found that I am wearing it more and more. First, around town for errands and then over to friends house, etc. I guess that really says it. These are comfortable and casual... I ordered the narrow based on the advice of the Zappos rep (great service).

I called yesterday to exchange sneakers for a larger size, and late last night ordered some girly shoes, and this morning BOTH the sneakers and the shoes were at my door! I am stunned! Today I called a different place to order a specialty item (after checking Zappos site for something similar first, of course) and there is just no comparison whatsoever.
